Begin Operation Flood Congressmen/women June 30 2014. Send the letters to their State/District offices. They will be home in recess from DC until July 7th when they will be back in D.C.
Colonel Riley...Dave R and I(John H) were talking in the chat room this morning and we both have a FANTASTIC idea.
We were talking of course about Obama getting out offfice, that is our goal as you know. NOW...E mails can be deleted with a push of a button, it is EASY to do that, because it is virtual mail. so, we have this idea. it is below.
Someone in OAS drafts up a general letter to congress. stating that we want them re affirm their oaths. the letter can then be posted somewhere on the OAS web site. NEXT...everyone copies that letter to their printers and they stuff the letter into an envelope. Place a stamp on it and then EVERYONE sends the letters out on a specific day... that YOU choose... to have the letters sent out by everyone.
We FLOOD congress with physical mail..I mean thousands and thousands and thousands of letters...from everywhere, from everyone, from every group and organization. We post the letter on facebook as well and get people involved that are not even with OAS and have them do the SAME thing we are doing. People could even make copies of these letters and pass them out to people physically, so they can mail them themselves to congress, to re affirm their oath.
Numbers on a computer system stating how many e mails you have...can be deleted quick fast and in a hurry...BUT....LETTERS...fill up offices in congress and gets the attention of people.
We keep sending the letters and sending the letters, until they get sick of it. It WILL hit the news..someone will say something to the media...and BAM! we get exposure for what we are trying to do here, to get them to re affirm their oaths. If they do NOT re Affirm their oaths...oh....that will send a HUGE message to the population and will expose these criminals for who they are. This could work sir. we just need to make a plan and execute that plan to do this.
Since a large majority support John and Dave's initiative, let's go with it beginning immediately.
Below is a suggested letter: use it, parts of it, none of it, prepare your own, as you desire but send a letter.
As has been recommended, the fastest way to get our letters to our servant politicians is to send to their District/State offices. You can find the address here. www.house.gov or www.senate.gov Look at the top of each page and click on "Senators" or "Representatives" find your servant or any Sen/Rep and then look for a "contact" tab on their page which will give all office locations.
Here's what I think is adequate, short and sweet...........
SUBJECT: I expect a personal answer on topic from “You”.
Failure to respond to me, or to respond with varnished truth will damage your credibility beyond repair, guiding my active support throughout your District and State.
Name, address, zip code, phone number
What do you do about those who lie and say they will affirm their oaths and just continue to do the SAME OLD THING? HOW DO WE EXPOSE THESE PEOPLE?
Simply refuse to vote for them. Another good step would be for all of us to refuse to vote for any incumbent. People talk about term limits. We have term limits. Vote every two years. Eventually we get all the trash out!
You have to have faith first off. Those who will not re affirm their oaths we will know who to get out of office next time around. There will be those who will not respond and if they don't you will know who they are.
I am "all for" this letter. When can we expect the letter? We want to start right now preparing--this is something that we can do.
Someone in OAS drafts up a general letter to congress........
Let's see the letter..... and I completely disagree with Charles Jones..... I believe "harassment tactics" are in order..... Charles, you preclude the use of "harassment tactics" as if you're expecting these commies to do something while we play nice...... holy cow! Realllllllyyyyy???
Tish, sorry to stoke up your emotions. I don't expect anything will change, other than the postal service bottom line, by flooding congressional mailrooms with letters. You will get more participants than a march on Washington, but the result will still be disappointing. If you are going to harass them with something, at least give them something more substantial, something that might lead to progress across the board. You might also try to get the news media to support the Constitution, but their job is to stir up news for the evening talking heads, regardless of any possible noble ideas. Thus, since I came up with the 12 Techndigm Elements, I leave it to others to validate them or come up with something better. I would be happy to find at least one politician who would subscribe to the 12 Elements as well as to the Constitution limitations on the Federal Government.
I will be willing to do it. IMHO,these people have failed their oath's for so long it is pathetic. Their oath of office is nothing to them. They will gladly re-affirm knowing they do not intend to change anything & continue to be corrupt. We can threaten them with charges for not keeping their oath & they laugh knowing it would take years & nothing would be done.
Much more difficult to ignore a letter, than an email. Especially thousands of letters all arriving within a day or two of each other. If they ignore the letters, time to do some ignoring of our own on election day. People from both sides of the isle are sick of the TYRANNY! Do it!
I get the idea about sending letters but I'm afraid we are way past that type of effort. This POS in the White House needs to be Physically removed, like yesterday. The rest of it is all talk and no action. If that causes the whole thing to crash-n-burn, so be it. We need to start over anyway. We are way past meetings, petitions, lawsuits, etc., and the rest of it. It's time to shift gears and make a change-now.
We are never past any type of effort. If everyone works on this it will make things happen. I've used this technique against Wal Mart and it worked. I passed out already typed letters of protest against their removal of our fabric department a few years ago and the people copied them handed them out to their friends, emailed them etc. We still have our fabric department. So never say never.
Rightly said, JW! It may be a way to make folks, in concert, feel as if they're doing something significant, to effect change, but I'm afraid it will be about as productive as the recent OAS assembly in D.C. That's not to say I'm criticizing the good intentions of those who came up with either idea. They are obviously sincerely concerned about our Constitutional Republic and turning things around returning us to same. The problem is, as you say, "we are way past that type of effort." There is only one thing which will move the established hierarchy to succumb to the will of the people and it's not letter writing or placard carrying or camping out on the front lawn (where permitted by that very hierarchy) of the White House. It is a historical fact that societies which have degraded to the point where rampant corruption exists in the halls of power - and make no mistake about it that's where we are - have never been successful in returning to their prior greatness. Corruption in the hierarchy, when allowed to persist for long, leads inexorably to complacency and complicity on the part of the people. We may be able to return our once Constitutional Republic to a semblance of what it was, but it will take more than letters and sit-ins to accomplish the task and that doesn't appear to be a possibility as the basic character of a large portion of the governed in this Country has been, in effect, rendered effete . Even with the "necessary" effort what would develop would be a "semblance" of what was. We, as a people, were part of a "Great Experiment", but we blew it with our complacency, sloth and greed. We're going to have to "gear up" to even bring the "semblance" back, but we can do it if we still have enough determination among us to make the effort to move beyond letter writing, placard carrying and sit-ins.
