Thank you Linda..............
This is got to be it.
I am a Patriot and I anxiously await the Action that I hope will recapture my Country from the Evil forces that now control it. Good Luck I will soon be in my 90th year, but I will contribute what I can. Robert E. Smith
If we're sending messages to our "reps", we'd best personalize them or they will be ignored.
A Case For Impeachment of Barack Obama...............
I'd be surprised if the call to action is impeachment. Nonetheless, it might be useful to check this blog post out. It is an analysis of impeachable offenses. In effect, an impeachable offense is whatever Congress says it is. It's a political process, And except for the trial in the Senate--should the prez be impeached--it is a purely political process. Also, an impeachable offense is not limited to just a criminal offense. Congress has wide latitude in defining an impeachable offense. Check it out:
You can also read the actual impeachment articles that were drawn up some time ago at http://www.NorthAmericanLawCenter.org - I do know that they have been working on a plan to impeach for the past 2 years, so it's possible that they've found some House members that have agreed to bring up the bill. You can also listen to their archived podcasts that they make every Sunday, which usually include updates on their efforts at getting an impeachment bill. I missed the one this past Sunday, so I guess I'd better go listen to that one. ;)
Not dereliction of duty - Congressmen should be impeached for "misprision of felony" or "misprision of treason." When they are aware (which they all are) that a President has committed treason or a felony and yet do nothing about it, they are as guilty of the crime as the President is, and they should be impeached, just like Obama should be. It only takes one Congressmen to put forth a bill for impeachment. NONE of them have done that. (yet) BUT, if an impeachment bill is put forward and some Congressmen vote against it, then those individual Congressmen should all be impeached.
How do you impeach a congressman? Only the ballot box or rebellion can rid us of such cretins.
The Constitution states that the House may impeach "The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States." I don't know if Congressmen are considered "civil Officers," but it might be easier anyway to petition for a recall election. It might also be possible for them to be charged with misprision of treason, and if convicted, would be expelled from Congress. I think we probably need new and better ways to get rid of Congressmen who don't do their #1 job, which is to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the U.S. Back when the Constitution was written, being a Congressman wasn't a career - it was a part-time responsibility during which time they took leave from their "real" jobs (which is a good reason why we need term limits).
