For those of you who study History, that is exactly how the American Revolution began. I don't know if that would hold true with this current generation of Americans, but I at least hope there's a chance for it to happen.
We have strayed so far from what our Founders envisioned. No joke. We really have. That's a given. Question is, have we strayed so far, as to not be able to recover what we have lost. We seem to lose more with each election. We could easily correct that, but the Republican Party seems unable to get the message out. Actually, maybe the Republican Party is the problem.
I do know this, for what it is worth. There are plenty of people in this country who still believe in the Freedom our Founders provided for us.
At the same time, there are plenty of people in this country who would gladly take away from you, what the Founders tried to give you. The Founders were not ordinary people like you and me. They simply weren't. They appeared only once, and they founded this country, and they gave it a future. They did that by leaving us with a few things to think about. The Bill of Rights. The Constitution.
We currently have a President and a Government, who are trying their very best to ignore both of thos documents.
They think they are outdated. Worthless. Not in line with current Progressive thought.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am not exactly enamored of this Communist Chicago Street Organizer who is our President. I'm also not too fond of his fat, ugly wife, who hates America.
Maybe I'm alone in that, but I don't really think so. Sorry for the rant. I guess I'm just exercising my free speech, while I still have it.
