Domestic Deployment: U.S. Army Chief Says Military Will Be Used To Provide “Rapid Response Options” and Address “Challenges in the United States Itself”

As the Department of Homeland Security and local law enforcement fuse into a single militarized policing apparatus for the whole of America through the use of massive surveillance warehouses, eye-in-the-sky drones and hybrid task forces, the U.S. military will continue to expand it’s role in domestic affairs, including in the event of natural disasters and terror related crises. So says Army Chief of Staff Raymond Odierno, who recently penned an article in Foreign Affairs, a propaganda mouthpiece published by the Council of Foreign Relations, an organization well known for having its hand in the economic, financial, social, military and political policies of every developed nation on Earth.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) proposes that the U.S. Army be used to plan, command, and carry out (with the help of civilian law enforcement) domestic police missions…

…the CFR would see the Army used to address “challenges in the United States itself” in order to keep the homeland safe from domestic disasters, including terrorist attacks.

Odierno writes:

Where appropriate we will also dedicate active-duty forces, especially those with niche skills and equipment, to provide civilian officials with a robust set of reliable and rapid response options.

That’s right. Should the sheriff suspect that a particular citizen in his county poses a threat to security and feels he doesn’t have the proper “skills and equipment” to deal with the situation, he can just call out the U.S. Army and bring a “rapid response” force that is robust enough to eliminate the problem.

These are not the musings of an unknown academic written in an obscure journal of little importance. These are the black-and-white plans for “building a flexible force” as laid out by the man in charge and published for all the world to read by the people who may have put him there.

In order to justify this new (and illegal) mission for the Army, General Odierno points to three “major changes” that have precipitated the re-tasking of the troops: First, “declining budgets due to the country’s worsened fiscal situation; second, “a shift in emphasis to the Asia-Pacific region; and third, a “broadening of focus from counterinsurgency, counter-terrorism, and training of partners to shaping the strategic environment, preventing the outbreak of dangerous regional conflicts, and improving the army’s readiness to respond in force to a range of complex contingencies worldwide.”

The head of the U.S. military, in a publication for an organization that is hell bent on centralizing the activities of sovereign nations into a single global entity, has outlined the intentions of our government, military, and international community for future deployment in what’s shaping up to be America’s next theater of operations – the domestic front.

With the passage of recent legislation that allows for the detention of American citizens without charge or trial, a stifling of freedom to protest at events of “national significance”, the expansion of terror definitions, and a new executive order that authorizes martial law and military deployment at any time the President deems necessary, it should be obvious that it is only a matter of time before tanks and soldiers are deployed on the streets of America.

Linda ;  I don't want to seem abrasive, because I often propose what I think are solutions or steps on the way to one but I Google all sorts of civic, church and commercial folks and then try to get this info dispersed as far and wide as possible and have sent corresponding invitations to join here. Usually, I don't hear a whole lot of feedback not even by private e-mail, so I sometimes can't help but wonder WHO supposedly is on Our Side.  I know a bunch of REAL DEDICATED  Patriots but I'll bet REAL PATRIOTS nationwide probably comprise.00000001% of the population. Don't worry Pat there are enough Vets and Patriots out here from sea to shining sea and from our borders with Canada to Mexico to see that there Will Be Elections This November!  Have no fear.  There are too many of us for the Liberal News Media and their little dictator to stop it.  I for one took an Oath to Protect and Defend this Country and Its Constitution from All its enemies both foreign and domestic.  No one ever released me from that Oath nor did I revoke it.  There are some things more important than life and this is one of them.  We will be victorious or our dead bodies will be the proof we were true to our oath to the end.

I'll be getting this to the VFW, so they can view this as well.  But  FIRST -   Let's see;  who do WE call first; Panetta or the Joint Chiefs.  SECOND - WHO is WE, ( I know I'm a part of trhis group), ? -  So WE can call OATH KEEPERS, MILITIAS,  TEA PARTIES, 9-12ers, VFWs, AMERICAN LEGIONS etc. as WE enlarges to Decide THIRD - how do WE confront this threat? -  Some type of unanimous statement, saying when and how many times we shall simultaneously enact our chosen response(s).  This has to be directly treasonous and goes right to the top.  This action needs to be disected, analyzed and answered in all public formats - T.V., Radio, You Tube, any media..... This should be answered by July 4th.  Our desire would NOT be to undercut or cast aspertion on our military:  So one initial response to this might be Boycotting of All Armed forces Recruiting stations in every town in America until this article  by the General is Retracted .  A formal QUERY addressed to Obama, Pannetta and the J.C.S. should be initiated by WE who Took the Oath and Friends.  An attached DEMAND for publicly RECANTING this statement is in order. Let's NOT Drop this; rather make this into an issue that shall be settled in the court of Public Oppinion as well as through appropriate channels.

Pat can you expand on your comment that you have been told by Marines that they have sworn to defend the Office of POTUS?  If they were asked to take an oath to that that is absolutely dead wrong.  The only oath any member of the military is required to take is the oath to defend the Constitution.  If they did swear such an oath that smells very much like Germany of the 1930's.

Pat can you provide some details about the Marines?  Things such as grade, military job, in or out of uniform, race, etc.  The last item may see a bit out of place but I wouldn't put it past that SOB to select people for this based on race.

Also, it's important to know if service members are officers or enlisted when they make observations. The officer oath says absolutely nothing about "obedience to the president", it only states obey the Constitution while the enlisted oath requires enlisted to place the constitution above all others.   The first order is to obey the United States Constitution...if the order from a president does not follow the constitution, then obedience to the president is illegal as well as the order.

As I see it, just about everything Obama has done is in violation of the US Constitution.

Enlisted oath:

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).

The "officer" oath omits any reference to " obey president" and deals solely with "supporting and defending the US Constitution".  I can't imagine officers giving American soldiers orders to fire on American civilians.  If they do, it would be an illegal order and illegal to follow that order...we don't do these things in America. I can imagine American soldiers joining American citizens in resisting tyrannical government should the situation become that volatile.

That's astute Marv.  Selective manning of any such brigades.  If something were staged with media coverage what would be evident would be citizens opposing military and the racial composition would be just about ignored all together, if the supposedly offending group is a bunch of Gray Panther Tea Baggers.
