Colby Vokey, NALC Lead Counsel Photo Colby C. Vokey is one of the most well-known and prominent military lawyers in the world. He has a well-earned reputation for being a hard-nosed, zealous criminal defense lawyer who is passionate about the people he serves. He has represented military service members charged with high level war crimes including mass-murder, sex crimes and national security crimes.

Mr. Vokey received his J.D. with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1998. In 2003, he received a Masters of Law (Criminal Law Specialty) from the Judge Advocate General’s School U.S. Army, Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2007, Mr. Vokey received the American Bar Association’s Charles R. English Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year award.
