Colorado Sheriff's Shocking Exposé: Colorado State Police, Homeland Security Preparing To Target Christians, Tea Partiers

Remember April of 2009, just four years ago, when Janet Napolitano's Department of Homeland Security was caught labelling Tea Partiers as 'domestic terrorists in an unclassified report? How about July of 2012, when a DHS-funded study from the University of Maryland called 'people reverential of individual liberty' terrorists? You may remember that we discussed it at the time.

This has been going on for quite some time. And this isn't the first time that our movement has caught law enforcement being taught to target Christians, but it's the most disturbing, considering the current, massive effort currently underway by America's Marxists to ensure the Sandy Hook massacre doesn't 'go to waste,' and to disarm the American people.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present your tax dollars at work, teaching State Police, presented by somebody headed to help administer the Department of Homeland Security, to TARGET YOU, so long as you aren't a Muslim, an Atheist, or a self-hating American. If, however, you're a Christian, or one of us Americans who believes that 'America was founded on godly principles,' law enforcement in Colorado, and presumably nationally, are being taught to target, and to be suspicious of you. With your tax dollars.

Creepy, isn't it? Sadly, the natural man and woman in us will say 'but it couldn't happen here.' Did you also see the story about Army training material that identified Christianity and even "Islamophobia" as examples of "religious extremism? Things continue to get worse. Teaching the truth about Islamist terrorism is quickly being criminalized, while daring to remain a Christian in a nation founded by Christians, embedding Biblical Christian principles in our founding documents, is also being criminalized. The father of lies has been very, very busy since Obama seized control of the executive branch.

Really? It can't happen here? It is, quite frankly, insane, to think that we can do the same things that Nazi Germany did, and expect a different result. Only this time, it won't be mostly the Jews. There are far more Tea Partiers & Christians than Jews here in America. I have a feeling that if the American left had its way, about a hundred million Americans would quickly find themselves in mass graves.

And if you don't think America is sliding into dictatorship, I have a bridge to sell you.

If you are a Bible-believing Christian, whether Southern Baptist, Catholic, Mormon, Evangelical Christian, non-denominational Christian, or even an agnostic who believes America was founded on 'Godly,' or in other words, righteous, or good, principles, then according to DHS-bound Colorado State Trooper Joe Kluczynski, you are a potential terrorist, and should be mistrusted, and watched out-for by law enforcement.

Gee, sounds like Hitler's Nazi Germany sowing fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) against Jews immediately prior to, and during, WWII, and the Holocaust, doesn't it?

So your tax dollars are being used to identify, and to target, or at least plant seeds of mistrust and suspicion, for later expliotation and targeting of, citizens who dare to be Christians who believe the Bible isn't just a book of fairy tales. Or somebody who recognizes the 'Godly Principles' inherent in America's founding.

Welcome to Obama's America.

Whether you're referring to Hitler's Nazi Germany, Stalin's Soviet Union, or Mao's People's Republic of China, the comparisons to Barack Hussein Obama's America are disturbing to all thinking Americans. When those of us who dare to stand for Liberty are going to be subjected to the same de-humanizing propaganda that Jews endured in Nazi Germany, it's past time to get more active, and to stop thinking we've done enough, or that we have done our best, and failed, as so many in our movement seem to be thinking.

Just because it's more like 1938 Germany than 1945 Germany, doesn't lessen the gravity of the similarities, or the sense of urgency we would be wise to adopt in our efforts to identify, recruit, and educate/train dozens of new 9.12'ers to join us in helping to restore America!

Also, if you haven't already started, please remember that it's waaaaaay past time to wake up, if you haven't already, prepare, by stockpiling food, WATER, fuel, clothing, shoes/boots, medical supplies, essential drugs, guns, ammunition, etc. and to WAKE UP YOUR FRIENDS, RELATIVES, CO-WORKERS, CHURCH CONGREGATION MEMBERS, NEIGHBORS, and other peers, and to do it IMMEDIATELY!

It might be time to start hosting private dinner parties at our homes to recruit people like I remember suggesting back in 2009 (anybody remember seeing that? I can't find it). Every one of us should recruit at least one new person each month (preferably each week) to join our movement.

Here's how Glenn Beck reacted on his talk radio show this morning on TheBlazeTV:

Have you ever ever listened to Tea Party people? Have you really listened to them? Have you listened to what they're saying? Have you ever interacted with them. If you're a police officer I can guarantee you that if they've ever had a rally in your town you've not had a problem with them. I can guarantee you if you're honest, even if you disagree with them politically, you have seen a group of people just exercising their First Amendment right to assemble and to speak their mind. And they most likely have treated you with uber respect and they've treated your town, they've treated its parks, and they've treated our country and our history with respect," Glenn said.

"And you compare that to Occupy Wall Street and you compare that to what happened with the labor unions in Wisconsin," he added.

“You make your decision. Are Christians who believe in the Bible, are they extremists? Are Christians who believe that this country was founded on Godly principles, are they extremists?”

Glenn encouraged police officers not to get sucked into their job and to stand for freedom when presented with any kind of training or orders that involve targeting people simply because they have strong belief in their faith or their freedom.

Colo. Sheriff Alleges Shock Training To TheBlaze: DHS-Bound Official Warned Against ‘Christians Who Take The Bible Literally'

Apr. 9, 2013 12:41pm Billy Hallowell

8141833695?profile=originalThis story has been updated.

This weekend, an email written by Ron Trowbridge, the 8142483058?profile=originalundersheriff of Prowers County, Colorado, started sweeping some of the viral corners of the internet. It alleges that a Colorado State Police training encouraged law enforcement officials to look at Bible-believing Christians with intense skepticism.

At first glance, the startling allegations in the letter, which was first posted on the conservative site Red Statements, were seemingly unbelievable. But TheBlaze reached out to Trowbridge to confirm that he wrote the note and to speak further about its contents.

In sum, the undersheriff said that he, indeed, wrote it and that the version that has been published is entirely accurate to what he experienced at the training session. Here are the first two paragraphs of his note, which summarizes the problematic training in its entirety:

On April 1, 2013 I attended training in La Junta, Colorado hosted by the Colorado State Patrol (CSP). The training was from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and covered two topics, Sovereign Citizens, and Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs. I was pretty familiar with motorcycle gangs but since we often deal with the so-called sovereign citizen groups I was interested to see what they had to say. The group consisted of police officers, deputies, and CSP troopers. There were about 20 people in attendance.

Trooper Joe Kluczynski taught a 2-hour section on sovereign citizens. Kluczynski spent most of his two hours focusing on how, in his view and apparently the view of Homeland Security, people turn to the sovereign citizen movement. Kluczynski started off by saying there are probably some sovereign citizens in this room and gave a generalized list of those groups that have sovereign citizen views. Among those groups, Kluczynski had listed, were those who believe America was founded on godly principles, Christians who take the Bible literally, and "fundamentalists". Kluczynski did not explain what he meant by "fundamentalists" but from the context it was clear he was referring again to those who took the Bible literally or "too seriously."

For those who are unfamiliar, the sovereign citizen movement is comprised of individuals who believe that they are free from state, local and federal laws. It is a loosely affiliated group that rejects many elements of governance, including, but not limited to, taxation.

As TheBlaze's Jonathon M. Seidl explained last year, "They're a mixed bag. Some reject their U.S. citizenship and don't recognize government authority, like laws and taxes. But others don't, and are more concerned with private property." Of late, officials have cited a heightened potential of violence among these individuals as well tax evasion and other related crimes. The FBI began looking at this group more intensely back in 2009, as documented here.

Based on Trowbridge's account, Kluczynski was essentially saying that Bible-believing Christians who take the holy book literally are more likely to embrace such notions. In his interview with TheBlaze, the undersheriff confirmed this detail, noting that Kluczynski purportedly stereotyped Christians, encouraging the 20 to 25 law enforcement personnel at the meeting to keep a watchful eye over such believers.

"It was a very, very fast course. This guy spoke at a very fast rate and he used a PowerPoint as he was going through it — and the first part of his course was on what causes people to lean more towards the sovereign citizen movement," Trowbridge told TheBlaze.

"He had a list of groups of people who are likely or who are sovereign citizens. One was Christians and I don't remember how he worded it, but it was Christians — but when he got to that part he said these are the people who take the Bible literally…these are the people who think that America was founded on Christian principles," he continued.

Rather than telling officials to literally "go after" Christians, Trowbridge said that the trainer was alerting police and law enforcement to "be careful of these people," as they are apparently at risk of joining the anti-government movement.

Kluczynski purportedly mentioned "fundamentalists" as well, but he didn't delve into additional details surrounding what, exactly, he meant by the label. Trowbridge told TheBlaze that he was shocked that others in the room didn't react more fervently to the insinuations being made during the presentation.

"What I found a little stunning was that it really didn't catch the attention of many there," he said.

But that wasn't all. The trainer also apparently went on to say that it was the election of a black president that also spawned sovereign citizen sentiment. And he questioned whether or not officers would be ready to go after "illegal" weapons, if needed. Here's the portion of the undersheriff's letter that explains these details:

While Kluczynski emphasized that sovereign citizens have a right to their beliefs, he was clearly teaching that the groups he had listed should be watched by law enforcement and should be treated with caution because of their potential to assault law enforcement. Kluczynski explained why he believed these groups were dangerous saying they were angry over the election of a black president. When someone in the group suggested the failing economy was probably much more to blame, Kluczynski intimated that those who are not going along with the changes in America will need to be controlled by law enforcement. Kluczynski even later questioned some of the troopers present if they were willing and prepared to confiscate "illegal" weapons if ordered to.

Trowbridge told TheBlaze that he's a Christian, which is why Kluczynski's reported comments about believers were so perplexing to him. The undersheriff said that he reads the Bible daily and that he tries to live it out in practice. With that in mind, he seemed perplexed that authorities would assume Christians are more prone to being sovereign citizen enthusiasts.

"We're taught to pay our taxes. We're taught to be in authority of those over us. We're to obey the law unless it conflicts with God's law," he continued.

Of particular note, Trowbridge said that he would have written off the claims had Kluczynski simply said that they were rooted in his own personal views. But the sentiments were apparently approached as though they were fact.

"He said he gets his information from Homeland Security — and it was on his PowerPoint," he continued, noting that it seemed as though the Department of Homeland Security endorsed these ideologies.

Trowbridge also shared that Kluczynski told the group that he would be leaving the State Patrol to take a job with Homeland Security in the coming days.

TheBlaze has reached out to Kluczynski, Colorado State Patrol and DHS for comment. We have been unable to contact Kluczynski, however a representative for DHS told us the department is looking into the incident and will respond as soon as possible.

UPDATE: Around 3:30 p.m. ET, DHS issued the following response to TheBlaze:

The training referenced in the Undersheriff's letter was not done in coordination with DHS and no DHS training materials were part of the prepared presentation. DHS provides law enforcement around the country with access to training that focuses on the behaviors and indicators of violent behavior, regardless of the ideology that may motivate it.

We have all been correct from the beginning. This is Communism, period.

  • I know personaly the effect this has because I was already targeted and the feds took my gun illegaly from me. Everyone beware of the traitors in our groups I know it is hard to tell if someone is betraying but if you watch close you will see them. Listen very colse to certain key words they say and their actions. Believe me when say we have traitors in our midsts they have infiltraited all of our groups. I have been saying all along that we need to becareful what we say and who we talk to unless you know without a doubt that you are telling some one who can be trusted about what your involved in don't say anything.

  • I say that this is just another distraction.  While we all rant and rave about this, more evil crap is happening under our noses.  We all know that this govt and the judiciary are totally corrupt.  Of course they are issuing bs like this.  It is to be expected.  So while we all sit here whining about it online, they keep moving forward, cramming their agenda up our rear ends and we keep taking it.  We get what we deserve from our lack of action.

  • You're right, Twana...just feeling a bit overwhelmed today as I ponder the fight we have in our futures.  I guess there is still a need for seeing what else is going on.
