Before everyone decides to bomb the place into the ground, let's get some perspective.
I served in the USAF for over 20 years. Most of this time was overseas in Muslim countries. NEVER ONCE did a military chapel have a cross on the outside of the facility.
This goes back long before our current engagements in the Gulf. It even goes back before Desert Storm. It even goes back before PC was the law of the land.
Additionally, come to think of it, the Chapel in Japan or Korea did not have a cross on the outside as well.
As for not using the Name of Jesus, the military reversed their decision on this issue as well. My interview with Chaplin James Klingenschmidt (the Navy Chaplin who was removed from duty over this case) can be found here.
