Question to "Veterans"

How long before economic collapse leaves our troops in Afghanistan without supplies and left for slaughter?

This post is not about one war, but is about calling together the Warrior Brotherhood of U.S. Troops and Veterans that spans all U.S. wars fought.

We all remember our troops that were left behind in Vietnam. This question I ask is about that very same thing is going to happen to our troops in Afghanistan. I remember when this war started and the pond scum anti-victory groups/blame America for everything groups started making plans to treat our Afghan and Iraq Veterans the same horrible way they did our Vietnam Vets.

You Vietnam Vets said, "NEVER AGAIN! NOT ON MY WATCH! YOU STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND COUNTERED THOSE HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND LET THEM KNOW, THAT CRAP WILL NOT GO UNCHALLENGED.

I remember looking at a pic of a man in a pink tutu....yes a man - and he pooped himself at one of those rallies in DC that Gathering of Eagles put together! Why? Because You guys were there! A (I don't remember if he was an Afghan or Iraq vet) Veteran who'd lost one of his legs was newly walking on a prosthesis leg. The man in his pink tutu and his friends were attempting to taunt this Veteran and other Vets with him. The Vet stood up and the putz in the pink tutu pooped himself.

With all that said, what can we do to help our deployed troops in Afghanistan and all muslim hell holes?

I ask this question only to veterans. They have experience of boots on the ground and are the ones have the experience of knowing how this government truly thinks of our Troops.

Please, no pollyanna lullabies. I'm asking for the hard factual truths and nothing less. If we're not tough enough to acknowledge the ugly truths we're facing then we're just spinning our wheels.

I posted this in PFA full membership discussion forum because I know family members of deployed troops will want to "READ" this and are going to need your guidance, they are going to need "Truth," "Answers," and Sound Ideas on how to help their family members get home if we can make that happen.

Do we as a country allow this despot government to leave our troops behind in Afghanistan to be slaughtered? How do we get our troops home?

Just a heads up to any who might dare:

No anti-war, anti-troop, anti-victory, anti-American tripe in code pink fashion will be allowed to stand here. Actually if anyone attempts to - your account will be suspended.

I want our troops home now and I have calling for them to come home for some time, however, it is for 100% total different reasons than the garbage who wears vagina costumes calls for our troops return.

  • I don't know if we can stop them, the politicians are all traitors of one stripe or another. Seems like the Benghazi event is just about the same as the troop supply. Troops are already so restricted until they can't fight without command approval

  • SIMPLE WE NEED TO TURN ALL THIS TALK TO ACTION ( LARGE PROTEST AGAINST THE WAR LIKE THE SIXTIES ) IT'S SIMPLE WE NEED TO ORGANIZE LIKE THE LEFT.

    • good idea William...and the first thing to do is massive  emails at a coordinated time to shut down their computers in DC so they will listen when people come to call.

  • They won't be "left" to be slaughtered.  The military has a pretty big logistics chain, and any supply failure will be evident stateside a long time before they start running out of things in the field.  Should that happen, there are certainly plans in place to withdraw well before running out of bullets.  Or food.  You can bet that the military has plans for just about any eventuality, quisling Congress included.

    • Ed, I have read letters from troops out in the field who are asking for equipment that the government won't supply the with.  and more ammo..

are you into logistics or know of anyone who is?

      • A long, long time ago...

...in a jungle far, far away...

...I was at the pointy end of the logistics chain.

They're throwing flag officers under the bus, but everyone knows that it's the NCO's who make everything happen.  If times get tough enough, they'll take care of things.  I don't worry about our guys being hung out to dry, but I do know that they are trying to do too much with too little.  It has been said that when you're low on everything but incoming fire, you're "officially" at war.

  • About 3 months.  I can remember the days of the clinton regime.  After we ran out of parts we were told to pick a truck, a Humvee, an aircraft, a tank, a ship, etc, and start stripping it of parts.  Then when that one was picked over to go for another and then another.  Bush had to rebuild the US Military to cope with the War on Terrorists.  We were not allowed to go to the range to qualify with our individual weapons or crew served weapons as we did not have the ammo.  We pencil whipped qualification records on orders from higher up the food chain.  I feel this is going to be worse that those days.

    • I think this is a lot of worry about nothing.  I can't imagine our gov't would knowingly abandon any troops.  Those left in VN wern't left there intentionally.  They were POWs in unknown places and deserters.  I agree with Ed Watts.

      Thanks Twana for the plug.

  • I have to agree with Ed, the military logistics are very good despite the GO's.  Our folks will come home and if things get tough those rules of engagment that tie their hands today will fall away.

  • When one enlists in the United States Military, active duty or reserve, they take the following oath:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Seems like pretty good motivation to obey any order you're given, right? Nope. These articles require the obedience of LAWFUL orders. An order which is unlawful not only does not need to be obeyed, but obeying such an order can result in criminal prosecThe weekend after 9/11/2001, I went in a local Checker Auto wearing a t-shirt, with an American Flag on it, and the clerks face dropped. He pointed to a pile of t-shirts, like mine, and he said he could not give them away as people were afriad of becomming a target. I told him that was why I was wearing mine. Military courts have long held that military members are accountable for their actions even while following orders -- if the order was illegal.

If any law infringes on MY Constitution, it is NOT Lawful.

Whether Obama is reelected or not, Treason charges should be considered against him, as he has done harm to America, and he has infringed of The Constitution of the United States of America, which I have sworn to defend. Any former President gets a life time pension, and 24/7 security detail for all the members of his family. Obama has done to much damage to America already, and we do not need to reward him with a life time pension and security. Along with our troops, we need to bring Bowe Home.

While defending YOUR Freedom, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, was captured in Afghanistan. OUR government has abandoned him. YOU owe him a trip home.

Please step-up., speak-out, re-post, and above all PRAY, for his safe return, NOW.
