Efforts To Ban Sharia Law in Courts Spreading

Since Election Day, Nov. 2, we’ve done a good bit of blogging on the law passed by Oklahoma voters banning judges from considering Islamic or international law in Oklahoma state courts. (Click here, here, here and here).

 

But according to this story in the USA Today, the movement to keep the Koran out of the courts isn’t limited to the Sooner state.

 

At least seven states, including Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah, have proposed similar laws. Tennessee and Louisiana have enacted versions of the law banning use of foreign law under certain circumstances. Former U.S. speaker Newt Gingrich would like to see Congress adopt a similar for the federal courts.

 

Supporters of sharia bans, including Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy, say Islamic law is creeping into U.S. courts. He worries about jihadists trying to establish sharia courts to weaken democracies around the world. “I think you’re seeing people coalesce around legislation of the kind that was passed in Oklahoma,” Gaffney says.

 

But Muneer Awad, the chair of the Oklahoma chapter of CAIR, the Council of American-Islamic Relations, says the Oklahoma law, if upheld, could have real-world effects on Islamic citizens. It could prohibit a judge from probating his will, written in compliance with Islamic principles, or adjudicating other domestic matters, like divorces.

 

Still, Americans have no reason to fear sharia law in America, says Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, which advocates for religious freedom.

 

However, Lynn says he expects to see more attempts to ban sharia law regardless of the outcome in Oklahoma.

 

“It’s just fear mongering tinged with anti-Islamic sentiment,” he says.

Push your state legislatures to adopt the 10 commandments as your state law.  That will cause the SCOTUS to get off the fence and vote for the Constitution.

The problem is with the SCOTUS.  SCOTUS is on the puppet show with Obama.  Their strings extend beyond their own knowlege base.

Given this, we need some good old street fighting politicians to adopt in their Home States, the Ten Commandments of the Bible as their root of all laws belief.  Of course, the SCOTUS has already placed the Oklahoma Sharia law adoption (e.g., no Sharia Law is allow in our system in Oklahoma) on hold to study.  Give them the 10 Commandments will be the law and what is the only thing they, the puttets called SCOTUS, do.

 

They can only rule that neither the 10 Commandments will be permitted to become law, and, there can not be any Sharia (Holy Quran) law imbedded in the Constitutional laws of the United States.   The, will for once in their life time, have to uphold the intent of the Constitution of the United States and reject both positoins because of the "establishment clause" they have ruled on in the past.

 

Why would you want them to consider the 10 Commandments vs the Holy Quran.  Becuse the 10 Commandments are the root of the Christian Belief System just as Sharia seems to be the root of the Holy Quran.  It is not a building or cross, or camel mounted on a monument.   It is one belief system vs another belief system which incidentally permits crime against humanity as one of their basic beliefs.

 

SCOTUS will be in a Catch 22 and if they do not bow to the Constitution, then they violate their own Oath of Office.

 

Now convince some of the state Congressmen and Senators to do just this.

Sharia Law has no place in this country, under our Constitution.  Our laws will protect all people living in this country, but will not protect Muslims "according to Sharia Law or Muslim principles"....  that is for Muslim countries to do.   In this country you go by what our Constitution says, or you go home!....  period.... end of story.   Awad may not like it, but there are no Islamic citizens here, only US citizens....   what part of "NO" doesn't he want to understand?  CAIR may want to change our way of life, but they'll find out that this is not Europe, or the UK. no matter how hard they want to believe it....  there are millions that think the way I do and will fight to eliminate the attempts for Islamization of this USA.
