SGT Frank R. Zaehringer III, USMC (Reno, NV), became my little brother on 11 October . . . I was his Casualty Assistance Officer (CAO). His reception was more of an event than a presidential visit.

Frankie, those 200 pr. socks you guys wanted . . . they're on the way, brother!

OPERATION CookieJar now supports his unit for their remaining 4 months in A`stan.

Each Thanksgiving Day in my house we have always turned off the football,
read a Thanksgiving passage from the Bible, then thanked the Lord for all
our blessings, including the gift of His Son and the gift of Sons and Daughters
who lost their lives to give us the blessing of FREEDOM.
This year will be the second year, I will also ask God to Damn the souls of all
in the Defense Dept and Obama administration who were responsible in making
the policy decision that only allows our Nations Brave Sons and Daughters to
fire their weapons if they are first fired upon. This assinine policy only insures
causualty lists like Twana has posted. May God grant, to each family missing a
member at the Thanksging table this year, an extra portion of His Grace and Peace.
And may God help us Save America. Thanksgiving Blessings To All.

policy decision that only allows our Nations Brave Sons and Daughters to
fire their weapons if they are first fired upon. this goes way before the Obama administration.
i have talked to many vietnam vets who were told the same thing, fire their weapons if they are first fired upon.
if obama came down with an illness, nothing would change, nothing. we have forgotten who we are. just start asking people, "what does it mean to be an American", they can't tell you. it's not their fault, they were never taught. until we as a people understand what it is to be an American nothing will change. they hang the little yellow ribbons on their trees, put the bumper stickers on their cars, etc. i have heard 36% of the American people voted in 2008. it seems people just don't give a damn anymore. over 90% of the people voted in Iraq under threats of death. We the people have lost our way, not the Government. We have enjoyed so much freedom for so long that we are perhaps in danger of forgetting how much blood it cost to establish the Bill of Rights.

I'LL SIDE WITH BARRY CARSON. IF WE ARE NOT GOING TO FIGHT THE WAR TO WIN IT, WHY ARE WE THERE? AS LONG AS THE HEAD MUSLIM IS CIC AND TELLING OUR TROOPS "DON'T EVEN FIRE ON THEM UNTIL THEY ARE TRYING TO WASTE YOU", THEN I THINK WE SHOULD JUST SHUT IT DOWN, GET ALL OF OUR TROOPS OUT OF THERE, AND LET THEM DO SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT LIKE SECURE THE BORDER AND SETTLE THE SCORE WITH THE DRUG CARTELS. I NEVER HEARD OF ThAT RULE OF ENGAGEMENT DURING MY 24 YEARS, AND I DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE I KNEW WOULD HAVE FOLLOWED IT ANYWAY, IF THE THREAT AROSE. THIS COCKAMAMIE ROE HAS GOTTEN A LOT MORE OF OUR TROOPS KILLED THAN THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES. THE BEST THING WE CAN PRAY FOR NOW, AFTER PRAYING FOR THE SOULS AND FAMILIES OF THOSE LOST, IS A NEW CIC.

These patriots are past our prayers or other interventions now; let us hope they have some peace, and make sure they haven't made this ultimate sacrifice on our behalves in vain. THAT'S our duty to them now; and we do that by not allowing this nation to fall, as Obama seems to want it to, along with his pal Soros, and others. America is a spirit, which we can't allow to be lost; if it's extinguished here the world is lost, because here is where it was first lit. God bless these who have given their all; and give their families a measure of peace and comfort as well, especially in the coming holiday season.
