How Will We Be Remembered?A letter to the American PeopleThis is not about how we will be remembered as a nation. This is not about how we will be remembered as a country. This is not about how we will be remembered as a great global power that plunged itself into the depths of the ocean never to be seen again. This is about how we will be remembered as a people.I have always wondered why people have come into the mindset of “me first, you last”. I’ve pondered and angered myself furiously on where the moral values of sacrifice for the better of others went. I know I’ve been guilty of the “me first” mentality, but when you are surrounded and bombarded from every direction, a human mind only has so much of a limit before it breaks. In more ways than one I’ve adapted the selfish mentality to better myself. But what about everyone else? In more ways than one I’m sure that every other American has the same situation, but where did this all come from and why? Why did we go from a young nation working together to better the community and the nation, to a nation working for itself and leaving others last? When did this happen? How did we allow it to happen?I consider myself a religious person. I was raised Catholic, baptized Catholic, and grew up in a family with Christian values. My mother had divorced my natural father when I was just a baby, and when I was five she re-married to an Atheist. The descent of my mother being a pretty religious woman, to becoming a borderline Atheist goes to show how easy and quick the path to the “dark side” really is. She became more interested in how things benefitted her than about how things benefitted the family. She fell into a dark part of humanity that she has yet to fully recover from. In this I basically set the example of how it seems that the mentality of most if not all Americans has become. When our country was founded, it was founded as a REPUBLIC with Christian values as a basis for the Laws, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution set forth by the Forefathers. Other documents followed of course. However, these three elements were key in the success of our early nation. We grew, became more states of the union, and finally became a whole nation of sovereign states in this United States of America. We grew more, becoming more prominent in world affairs, growing in power militarily, politically, and economically. We started intermingling with the other nations of the world, dipping our fingers in other people’s business, placing military bases in OTHER people’s countries. Where the focal point for this happened in our timeline, I’m not really sure. The only problem I have is that it DID. The WHY it happened it what I’d like to know. Our mentality now has become that of a selfish child. We want more for less, and will give less to get more. We have become the spoiled child of a nation, in the household of other nations that don’t get the same leisure’s and handouts that we always want and always get. We’ve allowed ourselves to become irresponsible and often spend more than we should, spend what we should but aren’t willing to make sacrifices, or make sacrifices only for ourselves and not for each other. We’ve allowed our government to run away with our money, our rights, and our future. This same government that was founded to protect us, to provide us with sound money, and to manage our place in the world, has done the exact opposite. This government that was supposed to protect us has only made us more hated around the globe and has painted a big red target on our country, that has placed military bases all over the world for the sake of “security”, that has waged or joined in wars that weren’t even our business, has made our country the most hated in the world. This government has passed spending bills that have dwindled OUR treasury to nothing, that has given monetary aid to failed companies still doomed to fail, that has passed legislations of “stimulus bills” to increase the same government spending and give to corporations and not the people, that prints money out of thin air with no real value through the Federal Reserve, has doomed our country to decades of poverty and placed the responsibility and bill for their actions on the shoulders and laps of our children to come. This same government that was supposed to keep our global position in the world economy and keep us in good standing, has only contributed large parts to the failing global economy, has only made larger the deficit that should have never been there in the first place, has only continued to go down the same path despite the objections and protests of We The People, even though the government is supposed to work for us.How do we want to be remembered? Do we want to be remembered as a nation that became selfish and was only interested in ourselves? Do we want to be remembered as a country who sat by idly while our freedoms were eroded and sent our brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers off to die in illegal wars and intermingled in affairs we had no place in? Do we want to be remembered as a global power that did nothing except contribute to the collapsed global economy and global state of being? Do we want to be remembered as a people who merely…didn’t care?I say NO to all of these. I want us to be remembered with good spirits. I want us to be remembered and cherished for all the good we did for the world. I want us to be remembered for all of the sacrifices that we made for the better of humanity. In order for this to happen, we need change. Unfortunately, the change needs to happen swiftly, and has to happen with sacrifice. We need to band together as a people, stand up and say “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.” We need to send a message to not just our government, but to the world saying “We won’t let this happen anymore.”For too long we’ve sat in our houses comfortably thinking we didn’t have to worry about anything but ourselves. For too long we’ve allowed our own personal gains to blind us to the horrible truth that is our current Federal Government. For too long we’ve allowed our liberties and freedoms, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, to be taken away by the very entity that was supposed to protect them. We’ve allowed ourselves to become blind and deaf to the horrible things that our government is doing. We’ve turned a deaf ear to the countries that cry out for us to leave them alone. We’ve allowed this very institution of government to pummel our global position into the ground. We should all stand up, take arms, and cry out in unison: “We’re mad as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore!”It was said by our Forefathers in Wise words:"The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation – enlightened as it is – if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of designing men." -Samuel Adams“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” – Benjamin Franklin“A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.” – Thomas Jefferson (1801)“Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty.” – Thomas Jefferson“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.” – Samuel AdamsWe should take these words to heart. We shouldn’t allow the country to fall into the hands of the government. That’s not how it is supposed to be. We should take the country back for ourselves the way it was meant to be “Of The People, By The People, and For The People.” If our Forefathers saw today what we’ve allowed our country to become, and what we’ve become, they’d be turning in their graves ready to hang all of us for crimes against the Constitution. We need to let them know that we’re not spitting in the faces of those who shed their blood to give us this country. We need to show them that we can become the Patriots of the Constitution that we are supposed to be. We have to ultimately remember that the Federal Government works for US and not for THEMSELVES!So, how do we want to be remembered? Let’s be remembered as the generation that stood up and took our country back from the government. Let’s make sure that we let all know who this country was won for, who our Forefathers died for. Let’s not allow the corrupt politicians in Washington destroy our country from within and from without.Sincerely,A Concerned and Angry Patriot

  • After generation of resisting communism, we have allowed a socialist foreign national to become president. We have worshipped this false god in the White House and allowed him and his collaborators to steal our destiny with worthless trillions issued by organized crime banking families at the private Federal Reserve. As a result of Washington's declaration of economic, political, cultural, and psychological war on the citizen of this nation, we all have to contemplate the word of our original Declaration of Independence, and what may have to be considered as our collective response to this outrageous and wholly unacceptable chain of events in our beloved land.
    A quote from Thomas Jefferson
"God forbid we should ever be twenty Years without such rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconception, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty...And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
