U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to
force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By
signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

We are being led like a lamb to the slaughter (Socialism/Dictatorship).

Freedom includes speaking any language your dang well please.   We have no official language that everyone must speak.  Not speaking English limits ones opportunities.  That ice cream stand loses customers because of experiences like yours.  However, I'm right there with you on your comment about diversity.  Diversity I think is part of an agenda of benefactors of globalization.  I believe it is designed to encourage playing well together so we can be used like interchangeable parts world wide.  Consider when you call a customer support phone number and get someone on the line elsewhere in the world.  They cost less than the same function would cost at home.  Diversity propaganda encourages you to accept it as normal and okay.  Ask yourself why else would most large corporations pour money into diversity programs?  Do you think it is just good will?

What the hell!!! When anyone comes to Our Country, they are to become AMERICANS! Not to force their homeland bliefs on US! Muslams are doing that with sharia laws and have taken over whole towns! Mexicans won't learn english. Hell no!!! We have to hire teachers, that can teach their kids in spanish! True, they should remember where they came from. But, why did they leave in the first place? To come here and get all the free stuff? Most have done just that! I have a sticker on my truck that says "Welcome To AMERICA. Now learn to speak ENGLISH, or GET THE HELL OUT!!!". Have had so many people want one! If we keep bending over to their wishes our country will be lost. My sister went to court, ( teacher for 17 years ) because she was told, she had to learn spanish, to be able to teach illegal kids! She stood in court and said " If they refuse to learn English, don't make us spend time and money (taxes) to learn their language! They should be proud of AMERICA, and want to become whole, by learning english!" She was able to keep her job. And didn't have to learn spanish. She lives in a small town, and MOST, 70%, stood by her. They ones that didn't, are the ones that are trying to force this through. If you want to support illegals, have at it! But, they WILL BE THE ONES THAT WILL KILL YOU WHEN THE FIGHT STARTS!!! As for me, "I live my life, that when my feet hit the floor in the morning, the devil says "OH CRAP!!! I come from a small town up in Maine.  My native language is French.  When I started kindergarten, the teacher told us, in French, that we did not live in Canada, we live in the USA and the language is English.  From that moment on, she spoke only English.  After three months, if the kids were not learning, English, their parents were called in and told that their kids would not do well in school if they didn't not learn English, and they were told that if they wanted them to continue in our small Catholic school, they would have to learn English like everybody else.  Very few people pulled their kids out. 

Learning English did not destroy my French heritage or ties to my French roots.  They are as strong as ever, and I have to wonder why it's so different now. 

Cultural dilution destroys the true American identity and enhances the probable success of invasion using the old divide and conquer methodology. 

Political correctness on this issue has now overriden common sense and people are afraid to speak out in protest for fear of being called "racist" or whatever. 

Once you have destroyed cultural cohesiveness, it is much easier to bring in the UN agendas that violate our constitutionally guaranteed rights.  Each time we allow another infringement to pass uncontested, it makes it easier to cram the rest down our collective throats.  Course, in my understanding of the Constitution, I do believe congress has to ratify all treaties signed by a president....even the current bozo.  So my question then becomes...what is congress doing to protect our rights? 

 

Again, as much as I'd like to believe this can be turned around, I fear we are too long gone to ever be able to turn back now without a major civil war.

I love the English anecdotes.  I bet there are a million of them.  I have dozens of them myself.  Screw teaching anything but English in schools.  English isn't an official language, but it IS the language of our country and teaching in Spanish is hurting, not helping students.  Construction foremen around here were required to learn some Spanish to talk to workers.  That irritated me.  Make the workers learn English as a condition to work.  They'd be happy to do it I bet.  I had Spanish-only workers build a swimming pool once.  I knew enough Spanish to speak to them, but I spoke to them in English and maybe helped them understand a few times, but I certainly expected them to be conversant in English.  What I choose to speak and what is acceptable as a common language are two different things.  If I order in English at a restaurant here, I expect to be understood.  I won't go back otherwise, regardless if I know the language or not.  I'll make an exception if the place is actually advertised that way, out of novelty or whatever, but don't expect me to be able to speak any other language to do business with you for sure.

Now I'm getting worked up too.  I respect non-English neighborhoods, but they better be able to speak English too if they expect to get ahead here.

Ted, love your attitude, if more people would wake up when they wake up each morning, the devil and his legions would have to retreat back to their darkness. Unfortunately, we as Americans have spent too many years snoozing through life, just trying to raise our families, pay the bills, earn next week's pay and stay honest. Meanwhile there's been this world wide conspiracy going on to establish the Global Governance, and most of us have awakened too slowly to the fact that we need to actively work to defeat it. God willing it's still in time! The thought of active civil war is something no one wants, but God alone will be able to prevent it, because there have been too many doing everything they can to divide us for way too long.

While we cannot let down our guard this is a long way from taking away our 2nd Amendment rights.  Body Odor and The Hag Clinton can sign all treaties they want and they aren't worth the paper they are written on until approved by the Senate.  There are only two democrats that I can think of that might vote for this and they are Schumer and Kerry.  Even in liberal states like Pennsylvania where they have the third or fourth largest army in the world on the first day of deer season any senator voting to force the hunters to give up their firearms would be committing political suicide.
