As many know and can testify to, the rhetoric gets a little heated sometimes, here as well as many other sites. The proclivity of some to wander off-topic in "comments" serves as nothing more than a distraction, as every single forum or blog post has some degree of validity in varying amounts...but all are worthwhile if for nothing else, the ability of all to exchange ideas in the free-flowing politic of today's essential national debate.
What we talk about, and how we talk about it, are signatures of the unique characteristics of who we are as a people, as a group, and as individuals who seek to unite in the only real cause of our times...how to defeat an evil ideology that has permeated every single essence of what once was a "government of the people, by the people, and for the people..."
On more than one site I spend time on besides here, the Ron Paul people have nearly "occupied" those sites where no-one else wishes to spend time anymore, rendering them essentially useless, except for the RP folks getting their jollies and giggling among themselves with hearty pats-on-the-back and congratulatory accolades. And lest I be chided or hunted down and hung for such heresy, let me say that I really do stand with many of RP's long-time positions. However, the one question that none of his supporters can answer is also the same that can be said for Romney's, Gingrich, and whoever may still have their hat in the ring no matter the size of their campaign; Exactly WHAT have he, or she, or they, done to address the most basic issue we face...an illegal, foreign usurper, an entire Congress that is absolutely complicit in this abomination of the Republic, and what do they plan to do about it?
We all know what we're up against, and it's probably worse than even we imagine. Anger is one thing...focused determination is another, with a healthy heart-beat of "just plain pissed-off." Common sense and civility towards each other are paramount to achieving our goals...otherwise, the noise and confusion obscures those goals, which still need refining daily. Marie Antoinette famously said of the starving masses--"Let them eat cake." Barack Hussein Obama is saying through his actions and rhetoric..."Let them eat dog."
As Harry Riley so aptly pointed out, " We are all blessed with PFA members thoughts, ideas, fervent patriotism, and support of our common goals of constitutional restoration, Founding Father principles, and mobilization to remove a blight on our Republic.....Barack Obama."
Let us not lose sight of the prize...a restoration of our Republic...and impede the realization of that goal by straying from the course in any form, shape or fashion. I could never be more proud to be a part of such an exceptional group of Patriots here at PFA and Patriots Union than I have these past few years. It is only because of the people here and a very few other select places that I can wake up in the morning, wipe the cobweb of nightmares away and look forward to another day of being in the fight of all fights...the very same fight that took place beginning on the greens of Lexington and Concorde.
