Constitutional Republic or Dictatorship
With the recent fiscal cliff negotions and what we are facing with the debt ceiling and gun control issue, I am beginning to wonder if we have a constitutional republic or a dictatorship.
When President Obama says he will not negotiate on the debt ceiling or when it comes to the Gun Control issue (an issue that has been settled at the Supreme Court already) he says he will use executive orders if congress won't act.
He has no right, according to Article 1, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution: "All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
The president has no right to circumvent Congress or the Constitution. In doing so he becomes a dictator or king. Remmember what we fought a Revolutionary War for. People should be reminded time and again to read our founding documents , the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. In the Declaration of Independence it says:"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes distructive of these ends, It is the right of the People to alter or aboilsh it."
I ask how long will the American people stand for tyranny to reign? When will the people say enough is enough? Will the people only act when it hits them in the pocketbook? Thjink about the legacy we are leaving our children and grandchildren. Take a stand before it is to late. It may be too late already.
This administration has attacked the Constitution and Bill of Rights, takibng away freedoms that are guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Freedom of speech -- under attack, Freedom of Religion -- under attack, Our right to privacy -- under attack, Our Second Amendment rights - under attack. This is America, not a communist country, or is that what it has become?
There are people who say , I am un-American, who say I am un-patriotic. Just to let them know. I love my country and I will die for her if necessary. I will not sit by and watch the country that I served for 27 years, crumble and brought down to a Third World country without trying to stop it from happening!
Patriots of our beloved country, stand up and be counted before it is too late! God Bless America and God help save this Republic!

Lets us NOT forget the reason for the Revolutionary War: THe British banned all firearms, stopped all shipments of firearms to the US and then came over to CONFISCATE them and that was where the war begun!!!
I would rather go down pulling the trigger then to live as a slave to a corrupt, evil, dictator!!!!!!!!
As a retired Marine, I find this to be as clear and cogent a statement of truth as I have seen published in a newspaper. In truth, I am shocked the paper printed his letter. I have to wonder if there are "right wing subversives" within the leftist establishment, making ready to overturn their Anti-American hate plan, the plan the left, and government they have gained full control of, intend to visit upon our heads with force, to the complete destruction of the Nation, and its replacement with their own tyranny.
