Remember that STUPID Song: DON'T WORRY: BE HAPPY? I was thinking about that in context with a revelation I had yesterday watching a video about life here in the U.S.A., a homeland in which I am now a stranger.
I have always hated that song "Don't Worry Be Happy" and now I know why - its the PERFECT THEME SONG for liberals. Yesterday I watched a video taken at a protest against Trump's promises to BUILD-A-WALL. One of the protestors being interviewed was a female millennial-type loon. Asked "how can we take care of everyone?" her face suddenly went blank as her brain realized for a few short seconds "OMG - I'M STUPID". Reality proved way too uncomfortable - rather than admit the truth she quickly reverted to lunatic mode with a lopsided grin and a shrug of her shoulders she scurried back to the safety of her fellow crazies for a group chant: DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY.
OH, to have been there and pinned that stupid bimbo to the wall. Confront her with the hypocrisy of her nightly retreat behind four walls and locked doors.
That young protesting bimbo and I both ran smack into reality yesterday. Hers lasted only a few seconds. I have no such comfortable retreat.
The UGLY Truth is: THE CHILDREN ARE IN CHARGE encouraged by politicians interested only in furthering themselves.
Conflicting worlds exist side-by-side. ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST and the other DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY.
REALITY IS SCARY AS HELL. The basic contents of that video and that protest repeat on an endless loop day in and day out - the world has gone mad.
