Looking Back On 2009

The best way to capture my reflections back on the year 2009, is this passage I found on the book I am reading, The Angel in the Whirlwind by Benson Bobrick. This book is a must read, if you want to know about the Founding of our Country. The book is very eye opening....In August of 1775,..."The Massachusetts Provincial Congress, forseeing the siege of Boston would continue into the winter months, had made a general appeal on behalf of the army for 13,000 winter coats.(This was because back in 1699, the British Crown had banned the exportation to England of American wool or woolen materials and remained wary of the development of any local expertise." The country responded . That fall, in virtually every colony, women worked their wool wheels and hand looms to make them; inside each coat, they sewed their own name and the name of the town in which they lived. Any soldier volunteering for 8 months service received one as a bounty, and it was a grudging tribute to their fame that the English sneeringly began to call Washington's Army "Homespuns" in the first days of the war"....In the beginning of 2009. I would of never thought that I would be involved in a tea party movement. Let alone be marching in Washington DC. But just like those 13,000 women, who heard that call that our soldiers had no wool coats for the winter. There was something deep inside of their hearts, souls, and spirits, that moved them inside. It was the American patriot deep inside of them that moved them.Moved them to the point to make those wool coats for the soldiers who needed them. When I saw and read, and studied the pathway this Congress, and President Obama are trying to take us down. Not down the pathway of capitalism, and democracy, But one of Socialism, Communism, andMaoism, How this Congress is spending us into oblivion. They are no longer listening to the voices of the American people. Acting like the court of King Louis XIV. just like those women back in 1775, who heard the pleas and cries the soldiers had no winter coats. I too felt that American patriot deep inside my heart, mind, soul, and spirit, moved as well. I could no longer sit idle I could no longer just sit on the computer, and just rant and rave. I had to get involved in the 9/12 and tea party movement. I wanted Washington, America, and the State of Pennsylvania to hear my voice. For it is like several years after the Revolutionary War, John Adams wrote:"What do we mean by the American Revolution? The revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the hearts and minds of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations."At the 9/12 DC March this is exactly what had occurred deep inside of me. I was standing there with 2.1 million other people from every state of the Union. From all different walks of life. People of all ages. And we stood at that Dome of the US Capitol, not as people from different states of the Union, but we stood there as one loud resounding voice. And we felt like true American patriots. Just like those back in the 1770's, and our Founding Fathers did. What a tremendous feeling it gave one. A fire was lit deep inside of us. That would only grow bigger and bigger. Never to go out. A voice a fire, that will only grow bigger, and stronger, in 2010. A voice in which we will take back this country, and Congress. and not have to fire a shot doing so.Let me end my reflection on 2009 with this...A passage from the book Angel in the Whirlwind by Benson Bobrick..."Over time there was a change in that change Adams had talked about. For the most part, the upheavalwas not a social revolution, undertaken to destroy or even substantially alter the established order of society. It was (or arose from) an argument over rights that evolved in a struggle for power - the powerof each party to assert its rights as it understood them, then afterward a struggle for the empire as Americans began to conceive a more ambitious and independent course for themselves."..This was back in 1775.... This is exactly what has happened to America in 2009.. And come 2010 it will only grow in each and everyone of us.When we FLIP THIS HOUSE IN 2010!!I wish all Patriots in the group Group a very Happy , Blessed, Healthy, Wealthy, and Prosperous 2010.And discover that founding father deep inside of you...
