Apparently I inadvertantly discovered a glich in the Ning forum software. Or more accurately in some browser guard anti-virus software.
Sometime last week I picked up a Trojan virus from the internet. So I upgraded my virus protection software.
I've been running PC Tools with Browser guard.
Well I got back to this PFA forum board and decided to post a discussion about Obama.
When I hit "Add" that Browser guard began adding my post to the forum,,,, about 700 times.
It took me over two hours to try to delete them all. At least I hope I got them all.
My sincere apologies to all members of the PFA forum if you happened to be here trying to read anything at the time. It certainly was not intentional and I hope no real harm was done.
Bottom line I guess is be careful if you pick up a virus anywhere, and be careful if you're running any kind of browser guard or anti-virus software while posting to these Ning boards.
Just a small warning.
Now I hope I can post this message, only once, not 700 times.

Permalink Reply by RP McKinley on July 17, 2012 at 10:42am I posted that original message at around 11:45pm. It took me until 3:00am to delete all the additional entries.
Trust me, running PC Tools Browser Guard while posting to these message boards is not a good idea.
And I really hope this entry only gets posted once. Thanks for all the support.

Permalink Reply by Raffaele Cafagna on July 17, 2012 at 11:53am An E-mail from the Postal Service about a package caused a lot of problems yesterday; wife took a copy of that e-mail to the post office ; the postal supervisor said that he received a lot of complaints and with that copy he would be able to do something. Took all day to clear the virus.
Permalink Reply by Yellow Rose of Texas on July 18, 2012 at 11:57pm I got that same e-mail. It wasn't the usual spam e-mail and I was expecting a package, so I opened it. BIG MISTAKE. It sent a stupid e-mail to everyone in my contacts! You can't trust anything these days. My virus scan did not find anything! How did you get rid of it, Raffaela??
Permalink Reply by Raffaele Cafagna on July 19, 2012 at 11:39am @Yellow Rose of Texas ; my wife is* almost * a computer genius and that e-mail caused a lot of problems ;
she kept working with Norton 360 , took her all day and lot of frustration , but finally corrected the problem and got rid of the virus. Rafael in Texas too.

We are having a phenomenal response to our new "Obama GET OUT" ad. The spot already has more than 100,000 views on YouTube and the feedback we are hearing is overwhelmingly positive.
Just played the ad, my 12 yr old granddaughter had to come in and bop to it! Looks like a winner to me. Sure wish I could afford to support it.

Permalink Reply by RP McKinley on July 19, 2012 at 12:31pm I also recieved one of those emails about a package being held, (undelivered). I was also waiting for a package and opened the message. (Mistake) Then sometime later I tryed to look up some stats on the population of the state of Illinois. As soon as I entered the web site containing the stats I got a face full of notice saying that my computer was invected and that I needed to download a special anti-virus program called Live Security Platinum in order to delete the virus.
I worked in computer systems long enough to know that this kind of garbage is not only a virus in itself, but it is also a sort of ransom, a blackmail, to try to force an unsuspecting user to buy their "anti-virus" program for about $150 bucks. This is extrotion of the most vial nature.
It has now been over a week since this happened and I am still recognising some ill after effects of all the virus and then the anti-virus programs required to remove this. I always run at least one anti-virus and anti-spam software. These packages run constantly and continously on my pc. But these viruses went right past them with not effort at all. So far the only program that has been able to detect and delete the Trojan virus has been Malware-Bytes anti-virus. My PC-Tools Spyware Doctor has yet to see or eliminate the bugs. Microsoft Security Assentials has done no better.
So far I haven't heard from anyone on my contact list saying they were "contacted" by me due to this Trojan virus, (although my messages to Sarah Palin are now all coming back as undelivered).
There is no question that these forum chat boards are being monitored, and it is not difficult for any half decent hacker to figure out anyones email address. I'm not suggesting to anyone that they should remove their email address or stop working on the boards. All I am saying is to be careful, make sure you are running a good quality spyware or anti-virus program. And aslo be careful about how and what those programs can do. My PC-Tools anti-virus Browser Guard is what posted my discussion message repeatedly for about 250 entries before I was able to stop it. (That process took about 12 seconds). The only indication I had that something was going wrong was that my address bar on the browser began to flicker very quickly and repeatedly. Every time it flickered it posted another discussion entry. Fortunately it all happened at mid-night while the boards were relatvely quiet. But it took over three hours for me to delete all the entries. And I fear this is not the last time we will hear about something like this happening. Thank you all for your patience, and I hope no one was harmed by it.

How to post "live" URL in posts at PFA............. Adding URLs in blog posts that are not "live" is a waste of everyone's time.....
Here's how....if anyone has better guidance send to me.....
First........type your text entry into the post block to include typing or paste the URL you want us to view........when finished with the text, highlight and copy the URL in the text.......then click the "add hyperlink" tool in the B, I, U box just above the text entry, after clicking, a window will open asking for the URL...paste the URL in the box and click "OK". You have now made the URL "live"...........it shows some code before the post is published, it goes away when you "publish post".......
