A chilling report from the Foreign Military Intelligence Directorate (GRU) prepared for Prime Minister Putin warns today that United States President Barack Obama has had served on 14 US Governors National Security Letters (NSLs) warning that if their actions in attempting to form what are called State Defense Forces are not halted they will face “immediate” arrest for the crime of treason.

The use of NSLs in the United States was authorized by the Patriot Act law enacted after the September 11, 2001 attacks and forbids anyone receiving them from even acknowledging their existence, and was reauthorized by Obama’s “rubberstamp” Congress this past February over the objections of both civil and human rights groups who warned they mimic similar type “government security notices” enacted under both the former German Nazi and Soviet Communist regimes.

To the issue angering Obama against these State Governors, this report continues, is their attempt to reestablish what are called State Defense Forces which are described as follows:

“State Defense Forces (SDF) (also known as State Guards, State Military Reserves, or State Militias) in the United States are military units that operate under the sole authority of a state government; they are not regulated by the National Guard Bureau nor are they part of the Army National Guard of the United States.

Obama takes draconian measures, not only against those that oppose him, but even against those that could be a potential threat to his scheme of enslaving us. I can't see why congress doesn't censure Obama, they have had plenty of reasons to do so. What gets me is that the majority (a large majority) of both houses of Congress, voted for the NDAA act, which included most of the newly elected (in 2010) republicans. The only thing these Governors, (who obviously are some of the last people in our government, who still believe in the Constitution) Is to keep doing what they are doing and call Obama's bluff. If everyone cowards, at the first threat of danger, then our Republic and our freedoms are lost, possibly never to be seen again in the annals of human history.

I have real problems with this story.  I went to the Before It's News website and the by line is two years old (May 2010).  Before It's News doesn't offer a source for the story.  To simply cite the GRU as the source doesn't cut it.  The GRU is a military intelligence organization and this is not the sort of thing that they would be broadcasting to the world.  This is also more of a political story than a military story and not the sort of intelligence the GRU would be collecting.  This is the sort of thing that the SVR would be collecting.  If Before It's News pulled this off of one of the Russian English language websites such as Pravada it would make it even more suspect.  With websites such as Pravda you can immediately discard half of what they say as lies and doubt the other half.  I don't doubt that Body Odor would do something like this but until a better source comes along I have to discount this story.  There is one other possibility for this story.  The old KGB now SVR did this sort of thing all the time to stir up trouble.  These operations were known as disinformation operations.

Marvin, while I agree that the story may be suspect and the source dubious don't miss the bigger picture. It prompted me to research my state's SDF that I didn't know anything about and had never heard of. If we can get any information at all from these types of posts then they are worthwhile. I guess it depends on your point of view what you take away from these stories. I will not bother to research the validity of the story itself because it says within it that the governors cannot talk about the alleged letters, therefore it is impossible to actually verify them one way or the other. Just my point of view of course, but I just look for anything useful to our cause in anything available and discard the rest.

Johnny, as a former CI agent I guess I have a whole different outlook on this kind of story.  For me any story such as this purported to be coming from a Russian intelligence service is immediately suspect.  All of these sorts of stories have a small grain of truth in them  I this case it is the fact that these SDF forces exist.  During my years working against the former Soviet Union and their East European allies I found that it was not uncommon for them to plant this sort of story and then sit back and watch us like a dog chasing its tail.  As much as I loathe and detest the current occupant of the White House I just can't accept this story as having any validity.  Out of 14 governors who were supposedly served one of these letters surely one would have stood up and said OK SOB here I come get me.  Can you imagine the uproar, were the feds to try and arrest a sitting governor for this?  That would be political suicide.

Yes Marvin, I agree that it would be something to see if they tried to arrest one of the Governors. I also agree that the story in and of itself looks to be, at best, a seed to start a food fight and at worst something to start true unrest among the U.S. citizens and the government (as if they need help in stirring us up).
