Introduced by state senator Nathan Dahm, this legislation puts Oklahoma shoulder-to-shoulder with Wyoming and Texas by putting federal gun-grabbers in check.
The language of the legislation is clear: "Federal acts, laws, orders, rules, regulations, bans or registration requirements regarding firearms constitute an infringement on the individual right [to keep and bear arms] in the Constitution of the United States...and are hereby declared to be invalid in the State of Oklahoma."
The legislation mentions the "intent" of America's "Founders" and the Constitution's "ratifiers," and sets forth the punishment for trying to enforce new gun control measures:
Any official, agent, or employee of the United States government or any employee of a corporation providing services to the United States government that enforces or attempts to enforce an act, order, law, statute, rule or regulation of the government of the United States in violation of this act shall be guilty of a felony and upon conviction...shall be punished by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections not to exceed five (5) years.
After reading this legislation, only one word comes to mind--FREEDOM.
This should be made universal in all 50 states and territories or commonwealths with allegiance to the US. We should also have UNIFORM gun laws with reciprocity agreements in all 50 states and capital punishment or life imprisonment for the use of firearms in the commission of crime. With FREEDOM, comes responsibility. It is that which has been taken from many of the gun control proposals along with accountability. Reform is necessary, rejection of the 2nd amendment , is NOT! Thank God for Oklahoma and other enlightened states which believe in our Constitution and the freedoms it guarantees us, It is particularly appreciated by those of us who share those beliefs but live in states like Illinois, Massachsetts, California, New York or other utterly deluded liberal bastions who cannot even realize the threat this legislation poses to their freedoms overall and the encroaching rejection on all levels of individual liberties and FREEDOM OF CHOICE! May it eventually be so from COAST TO COAST!
as a brother from Texas...thank you Oklahoma, we ALLLLLLL needs to stand together and tell this bully that the PEOPLE run this country not him, after all he was elected....by who i am not sure.
YEP ! Sorta makes ya wonder ,huh
NOT JUST TALK ( ACTION ) FREEDOM IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY ------- LOOKS LIKE THEY DIDN'T TAKE THE BRIBE -------- THAT'S WHAT A PATRIOT LOOKS LIKE .
One at a time! The more states join in with us normal people, the more will become emboldened to do so.
I've copied the above to present to our Alabama legislators.
thank you Cigarette
Lets stand up and support out State for believing in our rights to own our guns
Folks, We are in for a long long war with many battles! The communist have been planning & infiltrating our society tor decades. They are now in control of our unions our education system our media and our government . We as a people have been negligent . We have been busy working hard , raising our families and did not see this coming .
Now we have to start all over . We MUST ORGANIZE !! We true Americans ARE the majority . We must boycott
those businesses who support the left , We must attend town meetings. We must weed out the red teachers and red school committies. We must educate our kids in the true history of this great Republic The United States of America . And of course we must support candidates who cherish our Constitution . We must terminate those other corrupt bastards and send them packing or to jail . We absolutely must enact strict term limits . Any time a congress fails to pass a balanced budget we must cut their pay. If they do it again we fire them . Finally any messing with the Constitution is punishable by tarring & feathering / MANDATORY !!!!
Did I miss anything ???
In NYS, the gun grabbers are welcomed with open arms and a hot coffee too.
We have very little representation.
OK, thank your legislators.
