Hi my name is william gartland,i consider myself a patriotic person and love my country and what we as a country have done for the world.
my uncles served(later) as did my grandfather in ww2,i believe this instills in me a love for my country and the right to my opinion.
i see what is happening and has happend to my country but most importantly to the people of it,i will reveal here who and what i am.
my family on my mothers side are russian jews,my fathers side german and irish catholics,i chose to be catholic or christian if you will.
i believe this gives me good insight,i am a 4th generation american and my family from both parents were saved by this great country at a time when they needed help.
since then so many changes have transpired and led us to this point in our history,what i see of our society is sobering and sad.
first thing i want to say is my opinion is if you are American then you are an American,the use of terms such as irish,african,jewish American should not apply,since you should be an american first.
what i see primarily pointing at the opinion here is the reality of the seperation of Americans both black and white or anglo.
this racial issue i believe is nothing more than a tool for those who enjoy the benefits of keeping people seperated by skin color,yes there was many horrible things done to Americans of black skin and yes this has been done before to others people including jews and more.
however i truly feel that people like al sharpton and others in places of power are reaping benefits of this,i wonder if anyone has taken a moment to notice that if a people had to lets say pay thier dues by living in and working in a country,to then be accepted by that country as rightful owners as any other man and woman in that country,then Americans of black skin have paid thier dues.
Americans of african descent have fought in the civil war and ww1 and ww2 and more,they are a part of this country,i feel that they are being taught to mistrust Americans of light colored skin and this in itself robs them of their own self knowledge of being a rightful owner and an American by birthright.
this seperation and mistrust benefits those in power and people like al sharpton,as without this racial issue the cash cow would be gone.
if anyone disagrees with me thats fine,i see for myself 2 groups of Americans seperated only because they are being taught to mistrust.
we are all Americans and the sooner we see that the sooner we can come together and stop the madness that infects our governement.
i have more opinions but i tink this will be all for now.
thank you to all the many Americans (all skin colors)that fought beside my grandfather and other Americans,and have made this great country free,and lets carry on their fight in the spirit of being free men and woman of America.
