Can the people turn this country around without unifying in that effort?

Jon, did you also invent the internet? I mean I've been sitting back reading this ridiculousness with some amount of amusement, but I must say the verbose overtones are just beginning to get a bit out-of-hand, even for me. So, you have a quote on a website, that is a single page, talking about "the militia"...that YOU maintain?! What does that mean? Does that mean YOU are THE leading "instigator" of the modern militia movement? Me thinks, clearly not.
Before I turn into someone I do not want to be, let me say this: I welcome you to the discussion (even though it is not my thread), but you should be respectful here. I can attest, the intelligence accumulated on this site does far exceed what you may initially believe.

He is a Texas monument,(to himself that is), but even with such hyper esteem this profusely pratlling pontificator probably has sought out other audiences..............He well could be a fine weapon to drive the left nuts with his effusive oratory. But all my blaa blaa for naught he hath levitated to a higher nirvana..........GOOD RIDDANCE ! ! !

It takes a mixture of "unifying" and each one working withing our own little sphere of influence to get things turned around. So many times, the very young only get one side of the story of what's going on in America, and that sides full of pap and nonsense to keep them from discovering truth. We must sit and talk with kids and show them patiently there is a different set of facts, they're not learning in those schools, and with parents who don't realize just what their kids are and are not being taught. I agree with the sentiment I'm seeing so often here, FIRST WE MUST WIN THE ELECTION, THEN SEE TO IT THE CABAL STEPS DOWN AND THAT THE WHITE HOUSE AND CONGRESS, ET AL ARE NOT RIGGED WITH EXPLOSIVES OR BUGGED BY THE ENEMIES OF AMERICA.....THEN WE MUST NOT ONLY DO AWAY WITH A MESS OF REGULATIONS AND DEPARTMENTS/AGENCIES, BUT WE MUST ALSO DO AWAY WITH GOVERNMENT RUNNING THE SCHOOLS AND PUT EDUCATION BACK IN THE HANDS OF PARENTS AND FAMILIES! I was thrilled when my daughter decided to home school 3 of her 4 kids, the other's about to graduate, but it took years of talking to her, and promising to help, then the school pushing too hard at their insanity before she actually did. She uses a computer based program which is supposed to do the education themselves, but since her kids need supervision to actually keep them at it, SHE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE BEING TAUGHT, AND WE'VE BOTH BEEN IMPRESSED! Maybe if the schools keep it up a lot more Americans will wake up, but they'll still be gobbling up tax money until they're shut down intentionally.
Permalink Reply by GRINGO LUCERO on February 20, 2012 at 9:46am Beverly and others; I made a proposal last night on 2 sites, here and our San Antonio Tea Party site. Shortly, (between a sink full of dishes, pushups, chinups and getting the garbage out0,I'll see if I can roust out our Tea Party officials with a phone call. RELUCTANCE seems to be always present when we go to Immediate Solutions. But as long as their Not Carved in Stone and we are willing to discuss how to engineer that solution , there should beno reluctance nor resentment. Let me Fictitiously jump ahead: Wouldn't this Conversation LOOK RIDICULOUS on the Other Side of the FEMA CAMP DOOR? If we dedicated a pge to a multi pronged approach, (while there's Yet No Immediate Need to Lock and Load), we can take this microcosm, macrocosm, trial balloon or whole hog. I'll give you my phone and e-mail. . . . Hey, Remember - - We are talking. So, I'll Shut up for a bit here......Ehhh; any takers?

Permalink Reply by GRINGO LUCERO on February 20, 2012 at 10:24am JAG Buddy; I Do Bekieve that along with getting educators back on the road to Constituional America we Need "To Trottle the NULLIFICATION" right out od our State Legislators. Does that sound like kicking in their doors at midnight and putting them on a bus for the state capital under threat of a good horse whipping........Well, if it'll work. Anyhow, another thought is the funding of Freedom Riders such as us. After Nullification then taking possesion of our state's mineral wealth. For example the oil ande natural gas in Texas far exceeds the value of our current politician's "oleagenous manners and oral flatulence."

Voting in replacements is still an option, except that we aren't recruiting enough replacements that are true constitutionalists. There are a lot of candidates who proclaim the Constitution but who, when confronted with the policy implications of that, such as the fact that all our entitlement programs are not just unsustainable but unconstitutional, we can see our work is cut out for us.
over the years I have interviewed many who claim to be patriots, but when I ask them what election campaigns they have worked in, very few of them admit to having any experience of that kind at all. If you don't get out and do that kind of work, you will never get insight into what can be done and what won't work.
Yes, elections can be rigged -- by a few percentage points. So we have to get not just 50% plus one, but at least 60%, more than can be overturned by rigging.
Power goes to those who show up in sufficient numbers. We do not now have the numbers. The best indication of that is the low vote count for Libertarian candidates, because real patriots are not going to vote for most Republicans or Democrats. There are a handful of Republican candidates, like Ron and Rand Paul, but only about 7-8 in the entire Congress.
And even if we won Congress and the presidency, we still have to overcome the entrenched legal profession and its judges, which is likely to take 60 years, or about three generations, because we don't have enough to replace them at this point.
I probably know personally most of what I would consider true constitutionalists among legal professionals, and there are fewer than 200 in the country. We need to multiply that number by a factor of 1000.
We also need to change the political culture so that voters take their job as voter seriously and stop voting their pocketbooks. That is the tough one. We may not get there until almost everyone loses everything and becomes thereby mentally prepared to become virtuous. Voters will stop being rent-seekers when there is no rent left to seek. (Do a search on "rent-seeker" if you don't know what that term means.)

Terrorism analysts are rebutting President Obama’s assertion that the “scale of the threat” from Islamic terrorists has reverted to pre-Sept. 11, 2001, levels.
“This is a total fabrication,” said Steven Emerson, whose Investigative Project on Terrorism tracks radical Islam. “The ‘scale of this threat’ in the 1990s never closely resembled the terrorist attacks post 9/11. This is an outright lie.”
The Heritage Foundation has been cataloguing foiled terror attacks post-9/11 by Islamic groups. The number: 54.

There have been calls for an urgent debate in the Dutch parliament about the integration of Muslim immigrants amid claims that one area of The Hague, known locally as “the Sharia triangle”, is being run by a form of unofficial Sharia police.
The claims relate to the district of Schilderswijk, about two kilometres from the city centre, where an almost entirely Muslim population of some 5,000 people surrounds the El Islam mosque, fuelling criticism that the government has failed to ensure a [...]
