"Republic of Texas Meeting" Raided

I've not heard of this group before, however I believe that Americans or groups in America (except Islamic groups and/or illegal immigrants of course) attempting any form of Sovereign Citizenry will be targeted in this manner.  From what I've seen on their website, it appears that their new 'Texas currency' is one of the things that got them targeted.  This group also argues that the Fourteenth Amendment was never ratified ... (uh oh).

It's possible that attacks on Sovereign Citizenry groups are just another 'political distraction' and excuse not to address the very real and very current issues facing our country and the world at large.  Anyway, it will be interesting how this all plays out - or plays into Martial Law scenarios.

More info available at their website link below~

"Texians Under Attack (Republic of Texas Raided by JTTF in Trumped up case ... Assets, Papers Seized!)"

"At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Republic of Texas, officially starting at 9:50am and held, as usual, at the VFW Post 4892 in Bryan, Texas, the congenial and unimposing groups was raided at 10:10am by an army of policing agencies with flashing emergency lights:   Police Department and Bryan and College Station along with their Brazos County Sheriff's Office counterparts (north east of San Antonio) along with deputies from the Kerr County Sheriff's Office (west of San Antonio), The Texas Rangers, Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol State Troopers, The Texas State Attorney General's Office, the FBI and the U.S. Marshall Service.  Ingress and egress from the Harvey Mitchell Parkway was sealed even to the media that responded two hours later from KBTX Television during the four-hour ordeal. ... "

"The Republic of Texas is a self-determined people attempting to throw off the yoke of military occupation of Texas through peaceful and lawful process.   The entire land boundaries of the United States are also under military occupation thanks to the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States."

  • That's interesting, Thanks for posting Morning Star. I'm a member of that group. Well at least my name is in their rosters. I've never attended any of the meetings or met any of these people, I just signed up because it sounded like a good group. I've never heard anything about them creating their own money or any of that kind of stuff. As far as I know the group was being organized to help defend Texas in case of secession, or when Obama finishes his NWO destruction of the USA. But they are definitely not a militia group.

Texas is the only state that was previously it's own sovereign Republic country prior to joining the union. Bryan College Station is where Texas A&M is located,,,, about 70 miles south of where I live.
Fortunately my wife and I were at a home made bread demonstration and meeting this morning, so I didn't attend this thing. (Actually didn't even know about it until I checked in here on the PFA).

I'll see if I can get some more info and keep this thread posted.

    • Old Rooster~

Please 'watch your 6'.  More than likely, the Law Enforcement Militias are probably checking the files and membership list.  It would certainly be interesting to know if there was actually a 'search warrant'.

    • I think what may have caused a problem for this Republic of Texas group is that, back in the 90s when Clinton was president, there was another group also called Republic of Texas and a couple of their members were convicted in 1998 of threatening to assassinate Clinton.  Hopefully, they (law enforcement) will be able to figure out this group is not a dangerous militia and let them continue meeting and give them their property back.  Note that I said "hopefully".  I don't have a lot of confidence that will happen.

I don't know about the money but the article i read in The Eagle said they had subpoenaed a judge to appear at one of their common law grand jury meetings at the VFW they rented and filed a writ and quo warranto, some of that NLA stuff, against him and another man, I don't remember what his position was.

      • Wow.  I didn't know about the case back in the 90s.  Thanks for the info and update.

Michigan Police Seized $24 Million In Questionable Raids In 2013:

    • I've seen a lot of what is categorized as 'asset seizure' in recent years than previous years.  Certainly grants the sense of living in a Police State.  No matter if you are in your home, in your car or in a public venue, they come after you.

Virginia Doubles Down On Allowing Police To Simply Take All Your Stuff:

Currently, Virginia endorses the common practice in which police can seize property if they believe it is connected to a crime, even you are not convicted of a crime.

From 2008 to 2013, Virginia law enforcement seized more than $57 million in civil asset forfeitures, ...

The practice is usually touted as a way to cut down on drug crime profits, but critics have pointed to cases where innocent people were deprived of their property for months or never get it back at all.

    Nobody's been arrested (yet).

    • Thanks for the article link and follow up Rattler.  A good find.  Not a surprise that there is a lot more to the story.

I am surprised reading that there are beliefs for States secession underway in the United States (1 in 4 Americans polled favor secession).  Which unfortunately, may mean the increase of more police raids. Especially since they are trying to smear the sovereign citizen movements. Things are starting to heat up.

I'd really like to hear more about States' secession.  As Jean mentioned, nothing about it on the news, yet. I have only heard that a group in New York wanted to secede to Pennsylvania because of the 'oil fracking' in New York.

  • Here's a couple more links from the Houston Chronical, the first from yesterday talking about the raid.

Here's an old article about the republic of Texas telling who they are and what they want.  It mentions the older militia versions.
