Lets's keep the party going! Anyone interested in riding by bus to the march? We are trying to get a head count of those that would like to attend and travel with us on a "Good Times Tour bus".(I guess the name says it all!) The more who travel, the smaller the cost for all who ride. Once I have an idea of how many are interested, I can give the info to the bus company and have an accurate dollar amount. So how about it? Shall we let them hear from the Panhandle?

Not to detract from your bus initiative- but if there are some that contact you that might be interested in traveling by train because of certain advantages, please direct them to me (email act1fla@comcast.net). FYI, the special Group Rate that I have contracted is from Jacksonville, leaving at 5:30PM on 9-11 and arriving at Washington, Union Station at 7:30AM on 9-12. Our Rally points are within walking distance of Union Station, so no ground transportation is required. We depart from Union Station at 7:30PM the evening of the 12th and return to Jacksonville at 9:30AM on the 13th. Notice there is no requirement for overnight motel/hotel in Washington. Everything occurs between Friday evening the 11th and Sunday Morning the 13th (no weekday time away from work!). Large, comfortable, reclining seats, with Dining and Club cars. Round Trip cost for our Group is as little as $124.00 for a senior (62+), or $164.00 R/T with AAA Discount. Other discounts available. Best of all, we may have an entire rail car to ourselves. An ideal solution might be charter a Group Bus with pickup points along the Panhandle to Jacksonville to meet our train to Washington, then reverse the procedure upon return.
