While nearly all Americans head to family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Senate is gearing up for a vote on Monday or Tuesday that goes to the very heart of who we are as Americans....

I am surprised it is even on their (ACLU) site. They would eat up any and all chance to put Tea Partiers in jail so they would no longer have opposition to their mission.

I don't trust anything on the ACLU site! It could very well be a set up to pit the U.S. Citizens against our troops!

Yeah it could be and dont forget law enforcement officers either.

Twana I looked into this a little yesterday, I think it's bogus...the bill was introduced and passed by the House in 2007 but killed in the Senate and Thomas does not have it as being active...I could be wrong, if someone else has done further digging, I'd like to know what is what with it...

Did you know that there are 1291 'admenments' attached to that Senate Bill?  Two I know of that PREVENTS military from arresting American citizens within the US. (1125 and 1126). Look it up at: http://democrats.senate.gov/2001/11/18/amendments-to-s-1867-the-dep...

broken link, 'page not found'...

I tried to find section 1867 in the bill and couldn't. Makes me wonder...

S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act bill http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s112-1867&tab=ame... 1125 and 1126, there is no text for either amendment...so I have no clue if it is for or against...

To clarify the applicability of requirements for military custody with respect to detainees.
Proposed: Nov 17, 2011.
To limit the authority of the Armed Forces to detain citizens of the United States under section 1031.
Proposed: Nov 17, 2011.

I'm from OH, it was just 40 mi north of Toledo  in the edge of MI that a car bomb was set off just about a month ago. We've had the attacks on recruiters and military bases (by American Citizens) and now we have the ows crowds causing havoc, and being funded by soros and world wide communists and anarchists, and certain to get rowdier when the weather warms again; the amendment wants to deem the whole world a battlefield including America. I agree there. Remember, if the Military should decide to enforce the Declaration, they'd probably find out whether soros has weapons stashed all over our country. This one certainly needs prayer and God's guidance.

Look for S.1967

YEAH !!! , IT IS TIME FOR EVERY AMERICANS TURN FIGHT AGAINST ALL " ACLU " OR ANYONE WHO ARE AGAINST AMERICA AND AMERICANS !! . DON'T WAIT ON THEM !

I see that this bill is sponsored by michigan's senator Carl Levin. Way to go , Carl!

We Must Open our Eyes to Jihad, by Diana West

Sixteen-year-old Ari Halberstam was shot in the head on March 1, 1994. He died four days later.

Nearly 20 years after a Hasidic Jewish boy riding across the Brooklyn Bridge (pictured) was killed by a Muslim fighting jihad, a British soldier was hacked to death and beheaded on the streets of London by Muslims fighting jihad.

Thanks to the happenstance of a passer-by with a video recorder, the world heard almost immediately from one of the two London suspects, Michael [...]

Obama Lied about Islamic Terror Threat

Terrorism analysts are rebutting President Obama’s assertion that the “scale of the threat” from Islamic terrorists has reverted to pre-Sept. 11, 2001, levels.

“This is a total fabrication,” said Steven Emerson, whose Investigative Project on Terrorism tracks radical Islam. “The ‘scale of this threat’ in the 1990s never closely resembled the terrorist attacks post 9/11. This is an outright lie.”

The Heritage Foundation has been cataloguing foiled terror attacks post-9/11 by Islamic groups. The number: 54.

James Carafano, a military analyst at Heritage, said the 1990s’ numbers [...]

Claims of Sharia Law being Enforced in The Hague

There have been calls for an urgent debate in the Dutch parliament about the integration of Muslim immigrants amid claims that one area of The Hague, known locally as “the Sharia triangle”, is being run by a form of unofficial Sharia police.

The claims relate to the district of Schilderswijk, about two kilometres from the city centre, where an almost entirely Muslim population of some 5,000 people surrounds the El Islam mosque, fuelling criticism that the government has failed to ensure a [...]
