I am a new member to this site and do not have the knowledge about the software used here to participate in setting up a Blog, "My Page", adding videos, music, pictures, etc...I don't know if this exist her or not but it would be so nice to have a section here that would help us "newbies" learn how to do the Tech stuff that are available in a "ning" (ms?) website.Maybe a section that would give references to books to read to learn or something.Can anyone help those of us that need assistance?

I use www.photobucket.com but there are several good free ones out there. Photobucket is one of the most common and easiest to use in my opinion, but others may suggest others.
That's really about all you need to get started... from there you'll learn as you go along.
