Earlier Twana posted a discussion asking if anyone was interested in a face to face meeting this spring to come up with some sort of an action plan rather than simply pounding the keyboard and commiserating with each other.  After exchanging emails with her she has asked me to take the lead on this.  So here's the deal.  I am offering to host the meeting on my property.  As the crow flies we're about 25 miles from the Oklahoma border and about 30 miles southeast of Fort Smith.  Nothing fancy but I've got lots of room off the highway away from prying eyes.  We can very easily control access so we don't have to worry about unwelcome visitors.  I've got lots of room for parking motorhomes and campers but you will be dry camping with no hook ups. The nearest town is 5+ miles away.  There are two motels in town.  Neither one is part of a national chain, if you know what I mean.  The next closest location for motels is Fort Smith. In case of inclement weather I will make sure I've got enough open area in my barn for us to meet.  Just remember it's a barn.   As much as I would like to say there will not be any costs involved that isn't true.  My septic system and water bill simply will not handle 20 or more people for 2 or 3 days.  That means porta potties.  We need to come up with an agenda.  How do we want to handle meals?  Every body on his own for all meals or perhaps a common meal at noon (burgers and dogs etc.) and on your own for the rest of the day.  I'm a coffeeholic so I'll have coffee available all day.  Do we want to see if we can get a speaker or two?  I know that most if not all of us are Christians and I think I might be able to get someone to speak to us about what scripture says about our right to defend ourselves as well as how do we handle it when our faith and the secular world overlap.  What dates will work best for the greatest number of those interested in attending?  I would say no later than May.  June can be very very hot in this area of Arkansas.  There are probably a whole host of things that I have not addressed. I will make postings to this thread as things progress.  For those of you that are serious about attending, in addition to your public posts send me a personal message so I can send you details without letting the world know.

That's a great meeting place won't know if I can be there but I'll keep checking on the updates.

I will do everything I can to get time off work so I can be there just give me an exact dates of the meeting.

Thank you all for the many responses.  At this point I think we will shoot for April 11, 12, and 13.  That's Thursday through Saturday.  Depending on your response that is subject to change.  For all of you that feel you will definitely be attending send me a personal message so we can get an approximate count of how many will be coming.  That will also allow me to provide you with information which we don't necessarily want to post publicly.  Also, let me know if you will need accommodations.  I will be working with Twana and if we get a large enough response she will look into reserving a block of rooms at a motel/hotel in Fort Smith.  As I indicated in my original post Fort Smith is approximately 30 miles away but that's the best I can do.  For those of you who have campers and motorhomes and don't mind dry camping I would suggest you bring them.  As regards financing our gathering, initially I think the only financing we will need is for porta potties and common meals.  My wife is the treasurer for our church and I think I can impose upon her to track and account for any donations.  Regarding meals, my personal preference is that everyone be responsible for their breakfast and evening meals and a common meal at lunch time (burgers and dogs on the grill).  Perhaps we might want donuts or something for a mid-morning break.  The same thing would apply for the afternoon.  If we do a common meal we will need volunteers to do the cooking and also to bring grills or camps stoves.  I have made arrangements for a guest speaker (one of our members) who is willing to speak to us regarding our rights to resist tyranny on a moral ground.  I think that's all I have for this update.

Hello all.  I am proposing to make a change to the dates for our meeting.  My wife keeps a rather detailed diary and after checking her diary for weather conditions in April I am going to change the dates.  Her diary indicates that for the past 3 or 4 years the weather in the middle of April has been wet with temperatures in the 40's.  That sort of weather is not conducive to meetings out in the open or in an unheated barn.  With that in mind I am looking at May 16, 17, and 18.  Her diary indicates that temperatures in the 70's can be expected at that time of the year.  I would urge you all to promote this meeting amongst all of the members here at PFA.  If this meeting is to result in some worthwhile actions we need attendance by more than a mere handful.  I hope you will all offer advice as to agenda, meeting format, etc.  I would also ask that you have patience and bear with me.  This is my first attempt at this sort of thing and I'm sure I will make a great many mistakes.  Finally please let me know as soon as possible that you will be attending.

Twila, As our noble leader you surely realize that most of us cannot travel hundreds of miles , taking into consideration the cost of fuel etc. plus our home responsibilities.  However, I ,as most of us , will be more than willing to come together in a more localized area. I live in Lebanon Tn. ,about 40 miles east of Nashville.  If you are able appear or have a representative attend or just provide an agenda this is an excellent location for the many states that boarder Tennessee.   Let me know .

Sounds good to me. We live in SE OK and have an RV park, with full hook-ups, one way in and one way out. Our property backs up to the river and we live deep in the woods.

I have one question: I saw hundreds of thousands at the Washington Tea Party, seen hundreds of others at local areas, sent hundreds of enmails and phone calls. We have done so much already and still we are getting pushed deeper and deeper into a Socialists society, the Government taking more and more everyday, breaking the law and violating the Constitution and their Oath of Office. All we have done so far has been for naught. They in DC are well protected and will and are doing what they darn well will and they are not afraid of the People of the US. What do we want to come out of this meeting?

I would be concerned the way everything is now a days, that the National Guard, the CIA, The FBI, the OBI and others will be there to take us all to a FEMA camp! HAHA. But, I think we need to learn to do more "OFF the GRID"!

How to post "live" URL in posts at PFA............. Adding URLs in blog posts that are not "live" is a waste of everyone's time.....
Here's how....if anyone has better guidance send to me.....
First........type your text entry into the post block to include typing or paste the URL you want us to view........when finished with the text, highlight and copy the URL in the text.......then click the "add hyperlink" tool in the B, I, U box just above the text entry, after clicking, a window will open asking for the URL...paste the URL in the box and click "OK". You have now made the URL "live"...........it shows some code before the post is published, it goes away when you "publish post".......
