‘Stormin-Norman’ dead at 78.
Retired Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf, who topped an illustrious military career by commanding the U.S.-led international coalition that drove Saddam Hussein's forces out of Kuwait in 1991 but kept a low public profile in controversies over the second Gulf War against Iraq, died Thursday. He was 78.
Schwarzkopf died in Tampa, Florida, where he had lived in retirement, according to a U.S. official, who was not authorized to release the information publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
A much-decorated combat soldier in Vietnam, Schwarzkopf was known popularly as "Stormin' Norman" for a notoriously explosive temper.

I had the privilege Of meeting General Schwarzkopf once. He made a lasting impression on me. The greatest general that we have had since Patton.
Stormin Norman...
May The God of Israel, The Great Jehovah, grant him peace and welcome.
But this Stormin Norman will not creep silently into oblivion... I'm only 67-years old
and the juices of life still flow in my veins.
I'm not planning on quitting any time soon.... And if I find my end at the hand of
Central Government operatives, let everyone know that they killed those who will
speak up and stand against tyranny.
PS. Someone keep this email blog entry.... Some day it may be worthy of quotation.

Just an old fart who was there and probablly caused it all to happen...
Let history and the investigators figure it all out...

had a great deal of respect for him. Bless him and his family......
Is he the last of the great military commanders who knew how to fight (and actually win) a war? He certainly knew how to keep himself out of the petty political- and news-frenzy spotlights. He was a true leader of real soldiers in an actual real-time war. The Schwarzkoph Family has our deepest condolences.
~ We are so very sad to see you leave us, General Schwarzkopf. You take with you our appreciation, eternal gratitude, and deepest respect for all of your extraordinary achievements. Rest easy, Sir. ~
A "real" General, quite possibly the last one the country will ever have.
I wonder what he really thought about the scumball in today's white house.

I suspect the last good General was deeply troubled with the current group of PC peacocks and the events happening at West Point. May his good soul have eternal peace in Heaven, where I am sure he will be of great service to our Lord and Savior. God will bless him richly.
