Terror threats rising as FEMA orders $1 Billion in dehydrated food

The Examiner

Terror threats appear to be on the rise as FEMA has rushed a $1 Billion order of dehydrated food in the event of attacks on domestic targets in the US.

This is also coming on the heels of one of the largest terror drills performed by the US Navy on American soil, as Operation Solid Curtain is taking place this week.

In an article Tuesday from the Beaufort Observer, many of the largest suppliers of dehydrated foods in the country are dropping their distributors and customers to dedicate their resources to supplying a billion dollar FEMA request and purchase.

One of the nation's largest suppliers of dehydrated food has cut loose 99% of their dealers and distributors. And it's not because of the poor economy. It's because this particular industry leader can no longer supply their regular distribution channels. Why not? Because they're using every bit of manufacturing capacity they have to fulfill massive new government contracts. Look, the government has always been a customer of the industry to some extent. But according to our sources, this latest development doesn't represent simply a change of vendor on the government's part. It's a whole new magnitude of business.

And that's not all.

Apparently, even though they've cut off their regular consumer markets, the industry leader I've just mentioned still can't produce enough survival food to meet the government's vast requirements. How do we know? Earlier this month, FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) put out a Request for Proposal, or RFP, for even more dehydrated food. The RFP called for a 10-day supply of meals - for 14 million people. That's 420 million meals. Typically, FEMA maintains a stockpile of about 6 million meals. Why the sudden need to increase the stockpile by 420 million more? (And that's in addition to whatever our aforementioned industry leader is supplying.) It almost seems like they're trying to stock a modern day "Noah's Ark," doesn't it?

Single functions or events such as FEMA requesting a purchase of survival food might not stand out as peculiar when it is their responsibility to ensure they are mission ready for unforseen events in the US, but couple this with other pieces of the puzzle, such as the Navy drill of Solid Curtain, which is intended for:

...nationwide "drill" involving all military, and it's a drill based on a severe terrorist attack.

and the public had best be aware of something major potentially occurring on our soil in the near future.  Global events across the world such as the revolutions and protests, the rising spike in oil, the falling dollar, food shortages, and unrest in Wisconsin and Ohio, are bringing us to the point where crisis may take place, whether from domestic or foreign sources.

Terror alerts have been raised by FEMA in the past month, and this new special order of dehydrated food, at the magnitude of $1 Billion dollars in taxpayer money, should be a call for everyone to prepare on your own for any potential crisis.

9Makes me wonder what Obama has in store for Americans.
There are several Preparedness Sites that have stopped taking orders from the private sector. They are at full capacity trying to fill orders for the Government. The speculation for why the ramp up in the amount of available, on-hand goods that the ABC's have is wide spread.
I think it is for Obummers ARMY when things really get bad.
Good thing I have a LOT of dried food, who wants to count on these IDIOTS
I will have to do something here, I am raising my 2 yr. old grandson.  I remember how the idiot in chief was playing golf and hadn't even addressed the emergency of the oil spill..... ignorance in action!!  We all need to pass this info on to others.  Give a heads up.  It is their choice of what they will do, but at least they would be aware.
Dried beans and rice, get as much as you can afford. You can buy 100 pounds of rice and beans for about a dollar a pound. Stock as many canned goods as possible and pool shock to purify water. Pool shock works better the bleach and is much less toxic. Being of Italian decent I have large stocks of pasta and canned tomato sauce, almost as good as beans and rice. Being prepared is the only responsible course of action. Hard times are coming and sooner then you think. One coordinated terrorist attack on 4 or 5 American cities will strangle our economy. Those who are not prepared will suffer the most. Five hundred dollars for that new fancy phone or 500 pounds of food, your choice. A pound of rice and a pound of beans will feed 5 for a whole day. Once he shelves are empty it's too late. See you all in DC March 19th
Interesting that FEMA is once again stocking up on food supplies but have they put out any information to the public on the need for the rest of us to stock up as well?  Personally I have been doing so for some time and the info on the rice and beans is good. I would add flour and sugar, nuts of many kinds as well as pasta and tomatos. Water and lots of it especially if you are on well water and septic. When the electricity goes out either have a generator or a lot of water to keep those toilets able to flush.  Come to think of it a generator is a must.  In the event of a nuke attack, do not depend on FEMA especially if it is in the D. C. area because there will be no FEMA and No first responders or anyone else there to help.  Same goes for any other City. Best thing we can do for ourselves and each other is vote these clowns out of office as fast as possible because it is their hope and change that is bringing the possibilities to the forefront making them not only possibilities but probables. Oh and lest I forget, buy more ammo for those guns...if any of this comes to pass you definitely will need it.

Well to recap a little bit. All the talk from Jan 20th 08 about, all the different issue's. like health care , queers in the military, gitmo, and trails in nyc for terrorist, and gun control and all the bail out hoopla on and on, Has been very effective to whip lash the citizens of this Nation while at the same time offering a feeling of loosing our country. Now its FEMA stocking up and the NAVY is doing exercise and the media says nothing, on and on. No doubt sooner or later the hammer is bound to drop being everyone is expecting that to happen. I do not doubt this to happen. But still in here some where THE B/S detector is beeping . They Rats are up to something else while this threat is being predicted. If we are in for a lashing then why does the anoited one say so to the Nation. Nah he is to busy scratching his a$$ trying to figur out where to hide for the next crisis. Obongo, odumbo , odip stick crawl into a hole and pull it in after yourn stupid self.

Larry, one thing to remember is that er is a hidden army right here in our borders. In America the amount of hunters is not something that people think of. Take a look at these numbers and think of it.

The world's largest army...  America 's hunters!

A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin. Allow me to restate that number.
Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world. More men
under arms than in Iran. More than in France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.
That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania, and Michigan 's 700,000
hunters, all of whom have now returned home.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four
states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

The point ?  America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.
Hunting -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.

The point is that there is enough people here that could form an Army of Citizens. The fact that they already are armed is one thing. The thing here is that many of them are in very good shape, and have a multitude of useful skills. They are able to defend the homefront and can be an asset to America when needed. The skills that they have from various fields of work, Military training or whatever make them a serious opposition. Do not look at them for only the guns that they have, look at them as a Homegrown Defense Force permanently stationed in American soil. The wealth of knowledge contained therein is what will be what we have to fall back on.

Totally agree with you.   Our enemy is cunning beyond belief.   You got to be thinkers in this battle.

Amen all!

i have a vast food supply because i know very soon...there will be the have...and have nots...
