Army Tries Camouflaging Its Agenda on Marriage

While Americans were busy celebrating the heroes of D-Day, the military was coping with its own invasion of federal marriage law. After three weeks of silence, the Army confirmed yesterday that it conducted the military's first-ever homosexual "wedding" at Fort Polk base in Louisiana. According to officials, the ceremony took place about three weeks ago between two uniformed lesbians and was presided over by a member of the Chaplains Corps. "The liberal social experiment with our military continues," said a frustrated Rep. John Fleming (R-La.), who represents the Louisiana district that houses Fort Polk.

As more details emerge, it's obvious that the Army is trying to cover its tracks. When asked, a spokesman for the base insisted that it was not a "wedding" but a "same-gender private religious ceremony." Either way, it's a plain violation of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which outlaws same-sex "marriage" in government facilities. And while some would argue that DOMA is under court review, Louisiana's marriage amendment is not. It clearly states that only marriage between a man and woman is legal. "It's outrageous and illegal," said Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), who--like Rep. Fleming--serves on the House Armed Services Committee. Once again, he said, "political agenda has trumped the rule of law." Both men warned of this slippery slope when Congress debated the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repeal.

"One might say, 'Well, it's just a simple ceremony, it's just one blip... but, unfortunately," said Rep. Fleming, "I would expect an avalanche of similar ceremonies may occur, and once again, the publicity... could have a tremendous negative impact on military readiness." If it can happen right under the nose of a member of the Armed Services Committee--in a state that bans homosexual marriage--then it can happen anywhere.

If ever there was a case for the amendments of Rep. Akin and Rep. Steve Palazzo (R-Miss.), this is it. In the Defense Authorization bill that passed out of the House just a couple of weeks ago, leaders agreed to language that would hold the Pentagon's boots to the fire on the Defense of Marriage Act by banning the military from holding "marriage-like" ceremonies--like this one--on federal property. The men and women in harm's way deserve Congress's reassurance that they will not be exploited to advance this administration's social agenda. DOMA is still the law of the land, and neither the Army nor the Obama administration has the power to change that. Contact your senators and ask them to adopt the House language in the Defense bill.

We have fallen into total decay as a nation and have to look far and wide to find the decensy upon which this great country of ours was founded on.The immoral decay started before 2008 when ovomit started his campaining for his socialism ideology and has continued to this very day with the imposter who was bought and paid for by the likes of Soros and a handful of wealthy socialist. Not a surprise at all to me. 

Even when I was in the Air Force at the end of the VietNam period there was a distinct move from completing the mission to conforming to every whim of PC Bulls..t imaginable. If we conformed to the new rules we couldn't accomplish the job at hand in the manner it was assigned. Choice I gave the NCOs and Officers, tell me which is more important: keeping planes in the air or obeying the base 15 MPH speed limit... when they refused to answer I ended my enlistment.

As for the Chaplains, they never struck me as being all that concerned with the proper presentation of the Gospel... Shimmering generality-filled sermons,  YES! Right and Wrong clarified? Nah, might offend someone. Altar Calls, no chance! 

So while it pains me to see this bottom-of-the-barrel culturally sensitive crap proceed, it doesn't surprise me at all.

I will say though that the incidence of Lesbianism in the ranks is no great shock. ;-)

This leaves me almost speechless. The end of our society is near, it has to be. We have allowed our country to become a cesspool of degenerates, pedophiles, and murdering thieves, all of which are allowed to display their sickness openly and promote it among our children. With such as examples what can we expect from our younger generation? This all goes right along with the entitlement mentality that has taken hold of so many within our society who are raised to believe  that the welfare system is there for them to make a living from. People of this country now believe they can do whatever they please with no responsibility whatsoever, and from the looks of things it will soon be true. I am thoroughly sick of seeing this sort of thing but feel I can only attempt to raise my grandchildren to know better. How can we fix this when it seems as if the majority already have given in to it?

The majority have given in to it because they do not concern themselves with reading scripture. If they did, they would know that supporting the homosexual lifestyle in any way is contrary to what scripture tells us. It really saddens me to see so many so called self proclaimed "Christians" that have no problem with the homosexual agenda, in our schools, in our churches, and in our military, They don't care about millions of unborn children being murdered every year because they have bought in to the whole "pro choice" nonsense. It doesn't bother them either that the government is forcing us to live under tyranny. Too many Christians, including pastors have lost their way and their courage. Sad but so true.

I wonder if any of our active military read or are members of PFA??  If we have active military, I would hope they would share this discussion with other active duty military members.  Just wonder if the active military understands where the "old soldiers" stand and why we think it's so important to hold to a moral standard.

What is more important in the military defending USA or getting married. Good God, they are taking us down the road to hell. Europe has always embraced homosexuality and look how devasted Europe was in WWI, WWII, and since then. Are Americans really that stupid?

Sadly, yes, we have been "that stupid" for at least fifty years.  We started becoming stupid over one hundred years ago, when we, as a nation, started embracing "progressivism".

I am, as I write, listening to our ersatz president on television telling us that he wants Congress to pass a bill encouraging local businesses to hire more people.  Why would I, as a local businessman, hire anyone if there is no work to be done?  In order to get a check from Uncle Sam?  A check that I know is financed by robbing my fellow Americans of the fruit of their labor?  HELL, no!  I can see through these ruses, but there are far too many who can't, don't, or won't.

As for the American military turning their weapons on American citizens, don't forget the "war on drugs" and other, similar programs.  And, of course, the "big daddy" of the American military versus Americans scenarios was the War Between the States.  Don't think it can't happen again.  I worked in law enforcement, and there were guys I worked with daily who would have shot me dead without blinking if they were ordered to do so.  Do you really think that some twenty-year-old, progressive-indoctrinated, scared kid won't shoot you or fire a rocket at you, someone he doesn't even know, if he is told by his "government" to do it?  Time to wake up!

Yes they are!!  You are talking about those Americans who are sheeple. Just following the evil doers like a lamb to the slaughter. They have no common sense, and cannot or will not face the facts that are right in front of them. Not to mention the Americans who are more concrned about who is going to win on American Idol, or which celebrity is marrying or divorcing, and of course there are the reality shows that many are addicted to. They are clueless and many of them bristle if you try to show them the truth and the dangerous path we are headed down. Then there are those that just have to vote the "party" line because they can't think for themselves. What blows me away are the ones that say to me when I attempt to educate them about what is going on and they say "Oh I really don't get involved with politics", by that, they usually go on to say that they don't even bother to vote. Apathy is one of our biggest enemies right now.
