Outraged Muslims Demand DOJ Investigation Into Gun Range

Outraged Muslims are now demanding the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigate an Arkansas Gun Range after the owner declared “I want my range to be a Muslim Free Zone”.

Jan Morgan is an American business owner. As such, she has the right to refuse service to any group she feels have intentions to harm her or her customers. But don’t tell that to CAIR.

In a letter to outgoing DOJ Eric Holder, Jenifer Wicks, a Litigation Director for the Council on Islamic American Relations (CAIR), wrote that Jan Morgan’s decree was:

“a violation of federal laws prohibiting racial and religious discrimination” and “will inevitably result in a hostile environment for ordinary Muslims in Arkansas.” ~Yahoo News

Morgan sees a different side of this argument.

This is not a coffee and donut shop. This is a live fire indoor shooting range. People come here to buy, rent, and shoot lethal weapons … Why would I want to rent or sell a gun and hand ammunition to someone who aligns himself with a religion that commands him to kill me?” ~Jan Morgan

Morgan points out that she has read the Qur’an. What she found was over 109 verses promoting hate, terror, and murder against ALL human beings that do not submit or convert to Islam.

“People who shoot at my range come from all religious backgrounds,” she wrote. “I do not care about their religious beliefs until or unless those beliefs command them to commit violent crimes against innocent people and I witness those crimes increasing, as we all have lately.” ~Yahoo News

Morgan also states what she was told when she received her Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) License to distribute firearms:

The ATF informed us when we received the license that if we feel ANY reason for concern about selling someone a firearm, even sense that something is not right about an individual, or if we are concerned about that persons mental state, even if they pass a background check, we do not have to sell that person a gun. Two different ATF agents stressed that it is better to err on the side of caution.

In other words, a federal agency has given FFL’s discretion on firearms deals. An FFL can turn people away if there is any concern about their behavior and or plans for use of the firearm in the commission of a crime. ~Jan Morgan

Wicks fired back saying that Morgan is just Islamaphobic. She also puffs it up in a bully tactic to say she hates Muslims. She then accuses Morgan of misinterpretation of what she was told.

Ms. Morgan appears to be misinterpreting the advice given to her and refusing service to all Muslims, which cannot be a correct interpretation of compliance with federal gun laws and the U.S. Constitution. ~CAIR

To dispute CAIR’s claim, legally Morgan can do just that considering the First Amendment does not protect a Theocracy being established, and Sharia is a Theocracy. Morgan also points this out.

I view Islam as a theocracy, not a religion. Islam is the union of political, legal, and religious ideologies. In other words, law, religion and state are forged together to form what Muslims refer to as “The Nation of Islam.”
It is given the sovereign qualities of a nation with clerics in the governing body and Sharia law all in one. This is a Theocracy, not a religion.

The US Constitution does not protect a theocracy. ~Jan Morgan

CAIR fired back by sending their letter and calling for rallies at the local Mosques. The result backfired with death threats being sent to Morgan.

If you had received death threats by muslims, would you want the government telling you that you had to allow them in to your home or business and hand them a loaded gun? ~Jan Morgan

When asked if it is just because she hates Muslims, her answer to the AP was commendable.

“I understand that not all Muslims are terrorists,” Morgan continued. “I also believe there are as many Muslims who do not know what is in their Koran as there are Christians who do not know what is in their Bible. Since I have no way of discerning which Muslims will or will not kill in the name of their religion and the commands in their Koran, I choose to err on the side of caution for the safety of my patrons.” ~Yahoo News

A frustrated CAIR then sent the same letter to the governor of Arkansas, U.S. Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas and the ATF’s Little Rock field office.

Morgan responded to the claims on her personal Facebook Page.

Morgan responded on her Facebook page: “It’s easy for CAIR to bully and threaten average American citizens like me who have a business to lose and a life to destroy. It’s what they do. We are the easy targets. I’ve been a target of Islamist threats for five years … fully expecting at any time one of them to follow through with the threat. I may go down for speaking the truth about Islam … I may lose everything I have, (which isn’t much) but they can’t take my integrity … This is a mountain I’m willing to die on.” ~Yahoo News

While the Second Amendment does not exclude anyone, she has a valid argument about being a small business owner being bullied by a foreign funded operation inside the United States as stated by the Department of Justice and FBI.
