A new UN treaty, the CRPD is being pushed by the administration, with Senator Reid as it's point "man" that would override US law regarding disabled persons and subvert parental rights to UN control. The lead on the story is:
"Yesterday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (NV) announced that the Senate will vote to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) this week. We need you to call your two senators immediately, and urge them to oppose the CRPD. U.S ratification of the CRPD would subject our domestic law to United Nations standards and oversight, threatening parental rights and American self-government."

Heinous as this is, it is only the first real salvo in the battle to subjugate US law to UN dictates. I can hear BHO now talking about how no one with a heart/conscience could deny the virtue of protecting disabled persons, etc. without mentioning that we already have laws that do that.
Do we not have a conservative spokesperson with the gravitas and huevos (or huevas if there is such a Spanish word) to inform the country of the horrible consequences of this rape of our sovereignty? If this passes, it opens the door to other, even more damaging UN usurpation of US self-governance. This is already not the country we grew up in. I don't know about you all, but I DON'T CARE about ethnicity or skin color or religion, only about character and American values. But if the course we're on is not changed, this will be a country I wish our kids didn't have to grow up in.
