Black Pastors Group: Pride in Obama Has Turned to Shame

The group, the 1,300-member Coalition of African-American Pastors, says it was snubbed by Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder when it demanded a meeting to discuss same-sex unions. The group had requested the meeting last month.

“By embracing gay marriage, President Obama is leading the country down an immoral path,” Rev. William Owens, president of the Memphis-based coalition, said on Friday, The Washington Examiner reports. “Some things are bigger than the next election.”
The pastors are angered with Obama’s recent endorsement of gay marriage. But the president has not suggested that he would back federal legislation permitting same-sex marriage.
The coalition supports African-American pastors who believe marriage should be between a man and a woman.
“The black church has always been the conscience of America, and today we are calling on black pastors and black Christians to withhold support from President Obama until he corrects course,” Owens said.
His group also started a petition, 100000signatures4marriage.com. “We were once proud of President Obama, but our pride has turned to shame,” Owens said.

You are right sir. Obama is front and center trying to lead this country down an immoral path, in more ways than one though.
I am glad you have stepped up to the plate, and are trying to do something about it, yet I believe he should have been cut off the first time he showed he was anything but a Christian, anything but an American, even at heart, and showed a socialist bone in his body.
I'm sick of libs who call everyone a racist if they don't like Obama. Obama has been promoting hatred of black people towards whites, in more ways than one. I wish we had a real, and honest person, who really does love America, and who couldn't look you straight in the face, and lie everytime they open their mouth, such as does Obama. I would love dearly to have Lt. Col. Allen West leading this country.
Obama will ignore those who do not show him complete devotion in everything he does. He has also proved this time and again, by refusing to call and give apologies to wronged women, unless they are dem/libs. He has proved it by refusing to call and give condolences to Brian Terry's family, or families of victims killed or tried to be burned up by black people, but takes the Trayvon Martin incident, of which he knew not the details yet, and made a mountain of worse crimes, by his saying he would have looked like his son.
Obama is a race baitor. To compare himself to Martin Luther, Lincoln or JFK, is something he only has the nerve to do, because those men are passed away. He is a racist. Pure and simple. Many incidents to prove that, from his younger days through now. Not the man you had hopes he would be. He never was that man

The adults among us don't care one whit what race Obama is, we care about his character (weak and opportunist) his honesty and integrity (what there is of it) and the final shape in which he leaves this nation at the end of his tenure. He has to go. He had his shot and he failed to an epic degree.
His Race? Who cares?

Signed. I wondered when the black community would have enough of this guy and finally see the light. I just wish they could see the democratic party for the slavers that they are. That is the party that wants to keep the black community on welfare and food stamps just so they can continue to reap the votes. They intentionally scare the blacks with "They want to cut your benefits and keep you down." instead of telling the true story. Give them a hand up not a hand out and they can rise out of poverty and get off the government plantation to be forever independent and self reliant.

Yes this is good news. The fact that some folks can come forward and admit that obama is not what they thought he was or is not what he pretends to be when tryhing to solicit a vote renews my faith in people. We will never turn the liberals around who have bought into the statist agenda, but if we can get the rest on board we have a chance to defeat this traitor. The liberals will lose faith when we start indicting and prosecuting all of the thugs in the white house.
