2 Cor. 10:3-6
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."
How do we fight the world while living in it, and not become like it?
How do we remain in control of the battle out there and the battle within us at the same time?
Spiritual Warfare has received a bad rap over the years because of mixing religions limits within it's ground rules. True spiritual war has NO limits because it was and is born in the heart of God himself for he is THE mighty man of war, if we fight here it can only be under his rules not ours!
God, scripture says is NO respecter of persons, no human advancement of ideas or understanding based upon fleshly inventions is ever welcome before the feet of Jesus. He is alone the source of power that the warfare is based on, so to ADD our limited ways into the mix simply dilutes the outcome. What I'm saying is that we BEGIN and END in God's purposes not our own. Our denominations only divide us from the power, splitting it into portions that only have potency when united as the ONE true body of Christ!
This verse above is speaking about the real battle within us, in our minds where the world and Satan TRY to anchor to us themselves. What most do not get is that WE ARE ALREADY VICTORS before we ever fight the world because Jesus already defeated it. We are to CAST DOWN every thought that is contrary to his Word.
Our thoughts are like Wild Animals, untamed and unwise, they must be rounded up and CAGED at the cost of OUR WILL. To be claimed Christian we must learn to CAGE our old nature in order to FREE the new nature that Jesus provided us in the New Birth!
Once we master the inner war the outer war is easy to perform because we have passed from the death of worldly understanding into the strategic battle plans of God himself...who never loses. Where we WALK is not where we WAR, if we get that mixed up we lose before we start.
