Three days before the Republican Reorganization meeting, I just happened to get an email say that in Congressional District #4 50 precincts had not picked up there packets! My precinct alone has 35 votes at the county level. I can't find out much more despite pleas EVERYWHERE! We have only 67 member in this entire district! WHAT A JOKE!
If you know the Constitution then you know that we have to take power at the state level before we can get it at the Federal level.
I have sent out pleas on more sites than I can count and NOT ONE PERSON has volunteered to spend $20 and 6 Saturdays a year to save their country!
I have spent hours and hours researching how precincts work. The GOP does not want you to know. The GOP headquarters in Greenville City are unmarked and next to impossible to find. It took me over 2 hours because there is no sign - no nothing indicating what building they are in.
-
I have begged and pleaded for help and more information. All I got was that Greenville City Women's Club wants me to join. Well, excuse me! I live on the Spartanburg/Greenville/NC line and pay outrageous taxes for absolutely NO services! The make - up meeting is March 22 in downtown Greenville at the headquarters at 7 PM. There is no way people in my end of the county can make it there by then.
Further, my county co-coordinator who promised to check over my paper work before I turned it in, was not home when I got there nor have I ever heard from here before or since that first meeting day despite numerous calls to him!
Two of us showed up for the original meeting and having now looked over more paper work, I am sure that we did not sign things the right way.
I am willing to put up posters, go door to door, make calls, whatever it takes, but it will take at least two of us and the delegate shows no interest!
I am desperately seeking for conservative voters who vote at the Gowensville Community Center! I don't think my one vote is going any where and that Greenville, Lexington County, Charleston, and Spartanburg will continue to tell the rest of the state what is to happen and to withhold information from us.
If you live in the boondocks and come home to find your house broken into, be prepared to wait at least 3 to 4 hours for the Country police to get there. They have more urgent matters in the city ( 40 miles away) and even though you don't know if someone is still in the house, your house value has decreased by $3,000 and your taxes have increased by $4000, hey, you don't vote for your country officers so what do they care. You save for that trip to Utah and DC and wave your signs and come back home and post for the next big rally!
Am I angry? You cannot imagine how angry I am and it takes a lot to make me angry! But once I am there, I WILL let everyone know! Obviously they don't care so what do I have to lose?

Each little local tea party or 9~12 group is a gear in the engine that drives this grassroots movement, and each of us is a cog in one of those many gears. What we do matters and what we do locally matters the most. It is also where we can see our accomplishments.
Our local tea party drafted the mission statement below, and note that local and state are first, because the government closest to us truly serves us best:
“To elect representatives, on the local, state and national level, that adhere to the basic core values of: fiscal responsibility, limited constitutional government with particular adherence to the Tenth Amendment, a free market system, and a strong national defense.”
I invite you all to share local activities that reflect the 9~12 principles and values, which are the ideals that brought us together as an online community.
We matter, and our efforts matter, because our nation matters!
God Bless,
Jerseygal
Permalink Reply by MollieB55 on March 10, 2011 at 12:02am Well, I keep getting emails from Spartanburg County Tea Party but I have NEVER heard from Greenville. I am right on the line and most of my precinct is much more familiar with Spartanburg than with Greenville. My neighbor's family is a founding family of Landrum and she doesn't have a clue how to find anything in Greenville. I lived and then worked in Spartanburg for many years although I have lived in Landrum for 18 years I still go to Spartanburg.
I did find out the next meeting is at the Greenville headquarters and they are not marked well and it took me 2 hours to find them although I had a map and a GSP and it was only supposedto take 45 minutes. I have not found out that the two of us filled out out papers wrong because we had 3 sets of directions! I am not happy with Greenville!
I know that NO ONE can make it to the headquarters by 7PM on the 22. I was told to get a hold of Patrick Hadden or Jan Williams and see what could be done. I am willing to go door to door but want to be sure I do it right and get Conservative voters ! I made extra copies of Form A and a list of the roll. We don't have officers except me and a President. I think the President (a delegate to the county) just wants to do that period so I am on my own digging up more members!
Being a leader is not my thing but this has become so important to me that I swear I will do it. I got literally sick after the last meeting, knowing nothing, being in charge, having different sets of directions, and then finding out I got things wrong. Today was my first day out of bed. I have to get over that. I am not going to leave the country in this shape to my grandchildren!
Wish me luck and if you know anyone who votes at the Gowensville Community Center who is a Conservative...let me know! I will go to them and get the paper work right this time!
Thanks!

The US government released its latest report on religious freedom in Spain.
Prepared by the US State Department, the report is an annual survey of how religious tolerance and freedoms fare in different nations across the world.
“The [Spanish] Constitution and other laws and policies protect religious freedom. However, some local government policies restrict the religious freedom of minority religious groups, including Muslims,” states the document released in Washington on Monday.
It cites instances in some cities where Muslim groups charge that special [...]
