Comment by wayne smyly on July 18, 2012 at 2:24am Westboro Baptist Church is protesting the funeral for this American Hero. The family has requested that we go out and show support. All are welcome to come and stand in silent support of this American Hero. Feel free to bring American Flags. There is a Denny's right off of Dale Mabry Hwy in downtown Tampa. A lot of us will meet there for breakfast around 0800. Feel free to come there or meet at funeral home. If anyone needs any more info please message me.

Comment by Harry Riley on July 1, 2012 at 7:08am Gov Scott of Florida: Florida Governor Rick Scott says Florida will do nothing to comply with President Barack Obama's health care overhaul and will not expand Medicaid program. "Florida is not going to implement Obamacare. We are not going to expand Medicaid and we're not going to implement exchanges."
Good for Florida.
Comment by Harry Riley on June 28, 2012 at 7:24am JUDGE REFUSES TO BLOCK FLORIDA VOTER PURGE
U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle refused to stop Florida from removing potentially non-U.S. citizens from its voter rolls after the U.S. Department of Justice sued the Sunshine State, arguing the so-called purge was occurring too close to a federal election.
The judge said Wednesday that there was nothing in federal voting laws to prevent that state from identifying (and removing) non-U.S. citizens regardless of the election timeframe.
Hinkle argued the federal election laws are not designed to stop states from blocking voters who should have never been registered (or voting) in the first place – they are designed to block states from removing eligible voters close to an election. Imagine that.

Striking a Deal over Syria at the G8 Summit:
World leaders were close to striking a deal on pushing for peace in Syria at the G8 summit on Tuesday amid conflicting reports that certain leaders clashed on a roadmap to resolve the conflict.
Sources at the Group of 8 conference told Reuters news agency that the leaders disagreed in talks about the nature of a transitional government for Syria.
“You’re close to a seven to one position on Syria and clearly (Vladimir) Putin [...]
The Destruction of the Syrian Air Force:
The Syrian Air Force has suffered major losses in the last year, as the aircraft and helicopters were unleashed on rebels (and civilian supporters) and took a beating. Of the 370 usable fixed wing war planes the Syrian Air Force had two years, about half are now out of action because of combat losses or wear and tear. Nearly two-thirds of the 360 helicopters are gone, for the same reasons.
Part of the problem was [...]
