Thumbs up to all that were able to attend these rallies! It just keeps growing doesn't it?

We had a good turnout at the Recess Rally in front of Sander Levin's Roseville office today. About 100 dedicated Freedom loving Americans. Most of the passersby were supportive. A few angry drivers waving middle fingers.
We smiled and waved.

Birmingham had a big turnout of aroun 750! See the blog profs pictures and report in the link below...

Here is a link to an article brought to our attention by a fellow 9/12er in my group. Thought some of you might be interested. Only one response to this guys article so far, so maybe some of you might like to educate him a little. I'm thinking about it, but that is why I don't get anything else done - I feel such a need to respond to people such as this :)

Tina, I have thought about this program....I have a friend that had her two children on this program. I will have to ask her feelings about the program. It doesn't seem to me that it was actually controlled by the government - anybody know? I know I always wondered why they didn't have something like this for adults.

What about adults? I have several friends/acquaintances that do not have any health coverage - no, I don't want to see them do without medical help. But again, I don't want nationalized health care.

I am trying to remember, just yesterday or today, (I get too much rolling around in my brain!), someone was saying something about the fact that with Obamacare being non-profit (maybe it was Obama himself), that it would keep prices of health care down.........Blue Cross/Blue Shield is non-profit (ha, ha) so why hasn't that helped keep a lid on prices?

VITAL FOLLOW UP ACTION (from American Liberty Alliance)

Most people don’t know this, but Senator Jim DeMint succeeded in passing procedural votes (one by unanimous consent) which bind the Senate to filibuster (60 vote) rules rather than the simple majority requirement of the reconciliation process. Therefore, without Republican complicity and votes, Obama Care would likely be dead in the Senate.

What the negotiating Republican Senators do will determine the end game. The Senators who have the power to see Obama pass or fail are Grassley (IA), Enzi (WY), Snowe (ME), Collins (ME), Graham (SC) and Bennett (UT). These six Senators should stop negotiating a compromise and let this monstrosity die.

So after the Recess Rally, you should take the following action steps:

-Visit, call and email YOUR Rep/Senator
-Call and email the six Senators listed above
-Write letters to your local editor and mention the six Senators
-Post reminders about the six on your Facebook, Twitter and social media profiles
-Post reminders about the six on your blog
-E-mail your friends and family and explain the details about these six Senators
-Contact the RNC/GOP and demand they put pressure on the six Senators

We The People employ these elected Senators. It’s our job to demand they do their jobs and look out for the interest of America.

Erika, LOL! Maybe that was one reason my computer was really acting up - it was upset because of what I was yelling at it! That was frustrating, things that were said that you KNOW are out and out lies.

This was labeled as a "strategy meeting", but I didn't really see anything that would make me think of it as such. Upon reflection, I think the whole ordeal was more of a "love fest" than anything - for Obama and for themselves and the wonderful work they are doing. I forgot to mention that those in the audience were all "community organizers" with the exception of the director, deputy director, Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia, Senator Wasserman-Schultz, maybe one or two others.

Watching the people in the audience, I just kept looking at their faces trying to figure out what is so different about them that they follow Obama blindly and do not question him. How is it that they have remained so mesmerized for so long?

When I first saw Obama, 12-01-07, on The Tonight Show, I was impressed. I thought, hey, I like this guy......maybe this is someone that can get things going the way they should, etc. Shortly after that I bought his book, "The Audacity of Hope"......did not make it through two chapters and just could not read anymore. After that it was all down hill, from Bill Ayers to Reverend Wright.

It didn't take much for ME to see through him, so how can he keep people a whole lot smarter than I am be so spellbound? Maybe it is the common sense gene? Just watching him yesterday I could feel the wanting to believe what he is saying, kind of like the Pied Piper effect (that is funny - all the rats followed him too - LOL!). Darn, I always liked the Pied Piper song by Crispian St. Peters, now when I hear it I will think of Obama.

When it comes down to the bottom line, I am just thankful that there are so many of us that aren't "mesmerized by the messiah".

Kerry: I guess what the real problem with us stooping to the tactics of the immoral liberals is that the media never painted them in a bad light, but us? They make us look bad even if we don't do anything "bad". I would hate to see people wearing the "Obama as Joker" t-shirt at the D.C. March and I hope that they will refrain from doing so. I see all kinds of t-shirts that I honestly would love to wear, but are in very poor taste and I know would make me look bad, not get my point across, and would provoke ugliness from the other side.

Thanks for the comments on the health care issue.........still more of you to hear from. It helps me to get this issue straight in my mind. I was asked a few days ago if I didn't want everyone in the U.S. to have access to good health care and so have been trying to sort all this out in my mind.......I do not want the government to control it, but I don't know what the answers are to all the what if's: How to prevent people from losing everything because of a medical condition; what if your child becomes seriously ill and you have no insurance. Obviously there are some organizations that help some, but there are those that do fall through the hole. I do believe that there are answers to all the questions that do not involve government control. And I can see the damage government involvement has done in other areas - welfare, for one.

Fellow Patriots,
First, let me apologize, I've been out of town (away from my computer) for the last 4 days. But I've planted some seeds of support with our compatriots in western Michigan, while I was gone.
To Christine: We've tried to keep the moral high ground in the protests against Obama's socializing of our country. It's not effective, when pitted against the liberal's immoral and unethical methods. Remember, these are the same people who loudly protested their methods were patriotic, when constantly attacking Bush for 8 years! They even praised a British film that flagrantly advocated assasinating Bush. I agree that we should use whatever methods that prove to be effective, but fall short of discrediting our movement's sincerity and morality.
Maybe the use of a personal hand recorder might be an efficient method of getting all the talking points at the oppositions meetings & media events. That way you would have everything and could develope your counter-points at your leisure.
To answer your question; I'm AGAINST socialized medicine, as Obama and the Congress are proposing it. I'm all FOR HC reform! Here are my suggestions:
Tort Reform: Nuisance law suits are an entire class of law suits. They are intended to NEVER actually go to court. Their intention is to make it more expensive to FIGHT the frivolous suit, rather defend against it in court. The goal is to get a settlement, rather than actually right a wrong. The lawyer's lobbies have consistantly fought against this for economic reasons, it's a "cash cow" for them. They influence polititions by massive contributions to re-election campaigns. Fighting these frivolous suits has been the leading cause of doctors raising their rates and leaving the profession. They either must pass the cost of malpractice insurance on, or move on to another profession.
Excessive Federal Regulation in HC: The amount of micro-managing regulation and conforming to arbitrary federal rules is the second highest reason for overall HC costs. We should demand the federal regulation of the HC industry be brought back down to a minimum. And we should also make it illegal for those who have no medical expertise to have any appreciable say in medical decisions. That's what doctors and specialists are in business for! It's gotten to the point that HMO "bean-counters", insurance officers and federal bureaucrats have more say in your medical care than your doctor has! This is morally and ethically reprehensible and is a direct result of federal interference!
Yes, changes need to be made in our healthcare system! But giving the very people who are the root of the problem (government) MORE say and authority is NOT the solution!

Christine, kudos to you for hanging in there. I couldn't have done that without losing my cool. Sounds like another lieing campaign event. Also, the fact that no one questioned him more on the cost is another sign it was all staged, as always. What he is proposing isn't covering half of it.

Obama: ‘Muslims are a Fundamental Part of the American Family’

The United States is not at war with Islam as some extremists claim to justify their violence against the West, President Barack Obama said.

Obama, speaking at the U.S. Defense Department’s National Defense University in Washington, referred to various terrorism threats and how some are fueled by extremists saying Islam is in conflict with the West.

“Most, though not all, of the terrorism we faced is fueled by a common ideology — a belief by some extremists that Islam is in conflict with the [...]

Sweden Burns for the Fifth Straight Night

In Rinkeby a predominantly immigrant district in northern Stockholm, firefighters rushed to put out flames that engulfed six cars parked alongside each other. Five cars were totally gutted, and one sustained more moderate damage, according to an AFP photographer on the scene.

The continued vandalism left local residents irate, with hundreds gathering at the scene to express their frustration.

“People are furious; they think Rinkeby is better than this,” Scanpix photographer Fredrik Sandberg told the TT news agency from the scene.

Three more cars were [...]
