Carl, I could not agree more, while i am a God fearing christian, I believe if our platform is religion, we will exclude so many good Americans, that our fate would be sealed. The constitution was written to allow everyone the pursuit of happiness, in what ever form that takes. We can not replace our current corrupt government by exclusion. ALL Americans, whatever faith, or even political party they follow, must join us to effect this change.
Amen. no pun intended.
Les, I respect your right to say it and would die defending, I could never ask someone to apologize for what they know in their heart to be the truth.
I just ask we all keep to topic and have no slander. On the patriotsforamerica.org/forum home page it says "Judeo-Christian values. Look at it from the other side. It is turning Patriots away.
I am with a group, some already here, who would put full effort into this, if we abstain from showing favoritism.
I am still here to support in every way possible, this is our last great hope of peace. I just refuse the title of member unless we can bring full unity, with no favoritism.
Regardless of anything, you are my countryman, and I have your back.
My Mother used to tell me that a quick glance in the mirror before heading out the door to school each morning would assure me that I was neither as ugly ...or handsome...as others might think I was.....and so long as I kept that in mind - I would do all right in life.
I care not what platform others choose to use as their launching pad for OAS , or what navigational aids they may use for that matter.......so long as a few million of us like-minded souls see fit to gather at the river Potomac come 16 May ....and deliver our message loud and clear.
Carl, I'm a Christian and I think you are right. I stand with you on your position.
Carl, If you stick with what you have stated here, in this paragraph, them my friend you will fit right into PFA/OAS perfectly.
PFA & Operation American Spring means the restoration of the Constitution, all of it, just as it is written now. You are absolutely correct about your religious beliefs in respects to our Constitution. Yes Sir - I am a Christian man. But like our Founding Fathers, I am also educated enough and intelligent enough to know that when allowed to be taken over and ruled by fanatics, even Christianity can and will be oppressive. You are absolutely right in that our founding Fathers came here to escape religious persecution, and they spend a lot of time and gave great thought to those lines that proclaim freed of religion. WE in the leadership of the PFA/OAS have no intention of changing any of that. Thank you for posting this. it IS very important.
"We MUST NOT label this under religion. First, I fully understand this country was founded by Christian men, but I also understand this, and hope you can too; that these men came to America TO ESCAPE RELIGIOUS PROSECUTION. America is founded to not respect an established religion or prohibit an established religion. Bottom line. I feel in my heart, the intention of our forefathers was to create a country where there is no religious persecution, where all men are free to follow their faith, provided they do not force it on others. Sharia law goes against our Constitution, but for those Muslims who do come to America to find peace and freedom, they must be allowed to without persecution.
The closest faith I can be associated with is Buddhism. For me to push judeo-Christian values is to damn myself to persecution, and to damn my brothers and sisters of other religions. If you want religious tolerance, you must also provide it, it is a 2 way street."
MAC You hit the correct note with your bottom line.....If you want religious tolerance ............It's a 2 WAY STREET
had hoped not to give a response such as this; that being Islam is correctly regarded as a THEOCRACY, not just a religion. It's "Faithful" are governed by the writings of the koran and Haditha from the time they awaken till the time they go to sleep. It is a very regimented system that absolutely has no tolerance for those of any other belief system. And knowing what I know about them to just accept them with no reservations would be DAMNED FUZZY SUICIDAL THINKING. I have qualms about the way you lumped Conservative and Christian and negated the belief in a higher power in relation to what the founding Fathers accomplished. The most important precept that they recognized was OUR UNALIENABLE RIGHTS Come from GOD, (NOT ALLAH mind you), and hence knowing what I know about ISLAM, (Which means SUBMIT), I shall not blithely gloss over those differences: Given the opportunity they shall try to conquer OUR COUNTRY, (already they are making great in roads), So Yes my CHRISTIAN Tolerance can extend to the sinner but NOT the Sin. Statistics being what they are and history being what it is tells me to be wary and NOT be tolerant of this group that has perpetrated so many acts of terror. Obviously we do NOT have to make Islamics the focus of our actions here, which doesn't mean we accept their ways but neither our beliefs nor temperament nor the goals we seek to attain call for singling them out as "THE ENEMY" but if I should be called to accept them and overlook the realities in accomplishing our mission here I shall withdraw from O .A. S. post haste. I will talk to colonel Riley about the manner in which this topic was broached and it's importance in context to what O. A. S. was established to accomplish
The real question is do you want to use the government and law to defend you from the beliefs of Islam?
This is the way I see it: Restoration of the Constitution (back to Godly standards) is our primary mission (expelling Obama and the other domestic enemies). Here in OAS the great majority does have a common faith and we are sustained and encouraged by it. It doesn't mean that patriots who embrace other faiths are excluded. If we all pursue the same objective, the rest is "nickle-and-dimes". Let's look at the big picture and resist our personal sensitivities, for they can defeat our purpose or create collateral damage.
