Harry,  Sorry about the misconception...

My point is that because there is serious doubt that George Romney was a US Citizen at the time of Romney's birth, there is serious doubt that Mitt Romney is eligible under the Constitution as he may not be a Natural-Born Citizen.  He IS a citizen under the 14th ammendment, but not Natural Born based on SCOTUS precedent (most notably Minor vs. Hepperstat (sic)).

The proof that he meets the criteria is upon Mitt Romney himself just as proof is upon any person seeking elected office to prove they qualify for the position.

So to clarify, until Mitt proves he is a natural born citizen which can only be done with proof that his Father had recieved citizenship before he was born (it is well known that Mitt's mother was a citizen at the time), he should not be considered natural born.

To ensure the integrity of the Constitution, we must assume the negative until the positive is proven.  Right now, there is as much proof of Mitt's nbc status as there is of BHO's nbc status.  That is my point.

And currently, there is no proof that I have been able to find that proves he is eligible.  I have even looked at information from many sources who have researched this, I don't remember the names offhand as I did not save the information, and they also have not been able to verify this.  And they have had much more time and more resources than I can muster.

I do remember that Kerchner had looked into it and also could not locate any George Romney naturalization papers, at least had not the last time I looked.

Now when it comes to the gen. election, if I have only the choice between Mitt and BHO, I will have no choice but to vote Mitt.  This vote will be "under duress" as a vote for BHO would be almost tantamount to havng a loaded gun pointed at my head.  The problem is that I don't think Romney will actually do much to help the people get out from under this tyrranical government.

Scott......I'm not taking issue with potential that Romney may not be eligible.  I am keying off your opinion that he is not eligible, which is not a fact.

We know Obama is not eligible because his Father was never a citizen of the United States which the White House occupant admits.

We know Marco Rubio is not eligible as he was born in Miami, FL in 1971 to parents who were citizens of Cuba...parents who were not American citizens until 1975/76 time frame.  These birth certificates and naturalization papers have been posted for public observation.

I would like to see the Romney evidence from a source with credibility.

And Twana, I posted my last without seeing you post, so it is not in response to that.

I know that Wikipedia must be taken with a grain of salt many times, but here is the George Romney page: George Romney.  This information on George has not been contested anywhere and Romney himself has even stated his father was born in Mexico.

As for links to the citizenship rules, I don't have time to re-look that up atm.

Last I checked, it is up to the candidate to prove he meets the requirements of the US Constitution for the position they are seeking.  Somewhere in the past, the DNC and RNC have been "supposedly" providing the proof, but all that is provided is a statement from the DNC/RNC to each SOS that the candidate is Constitutionally eligible (the paperwork filed in Obama's case basically states that he is eligible because he won the primaries).  The proof that the Pol. Parties provide should be of public record, but I have never seen any evidence to back up their statements to the State SOS's.

It is high time we force the Parties to make this information public to prove that they have done their due diligence.

Anyway, the entire process has been un-Constitutional since about 1804.  Read carefully the 12th Ammendment.  The "electorate" must have "separate and distinct" ballots for POTUS and VP sent to the House and Senate respectively.  Since when can a single vote for POTUS/VP which is then split to provide the vote count to Congress be considered separate AND DISTINCT?

They can be separated, but as the numbers are directly tied to one another, there is NO WAY IN H--- that they can be considered DISTINCT!

Scott, I do not know what you say as fact. Surely you cannot expect me to believe something just because you say so. I expect no one to believe anything I say. I give them links to the facts and let them know for themselves truth or not. It's in our face rude, thinking we should believe something just because you say so. If you have proof then up it.

What assumptions?  I have made no assumptions.  All that I posted is public knowledge...

It is a known fact that George Romney was born in Mexico.

If you don't believe me on the naturalization and citizenship laws, just look it up.

If you don't believe me on the time Mitt's Grandparents lived in Mexico, the info can be found on Wikipedia.

As far as public records in the US about this, they either don't exist or they are hidden where the normal citizen cannot access them.

I am told that the Mormon Church has extensive records on this, but as I am not a Mormon, I can't even hope to access those records.  It is up to Mitt to produce these records to prove he IS a natural born citizen.  As I have found serious doubt and cannot persue it further with my resources.

If this isn't enough for you, then can I assume you believe that Obama is eligible under the Constitution as well?  His records are sealed and no one has access to them, does that mean we just accept his statements even though there are very serious doubts that he is even a US citizen, let alone a natural born Citizen.

Scott........I appreciate your focus, but you are making too many assumptions.  Provide the facts and you will have a case.  How about posting a couple of birth certificates to start?

Have already looked into it.

1) the laws t the time stated that if a person left the US to reside elsewhere for over (either 5 or 10 years, forget the number, but it is not important for right now) then they lose their citizenship until they repatriate.  George Romney's parents were gone over 10 years when he was born in Mexico, therefore George did not have US citizenship at birth.  In total, it was over 30 years from when Mitt's grandparents left to when they returned.  As they did not have citizenship, they were technically illegal aliens when they returned.

2) as there are no public records of George recieving citizenship or his parents repatriating, which would grant George his citizenship, Mitt could not have qualified as a "natural born citizen".

 

Therefore, until Mitt proves that his father had been naturalized or his grandparents had repatriated before George was 18, he MUST be assumed to not meet the simple criteria to be POTUS.

Now we can assume that George was granted citizenship prior to becoming Governor of Michigan, but that was well after Mitt was born.

 

So it should be resolved by every single voter; "NO PAPERWORK, NO VOTE" and we should follow the rules I laid out below.  That is unless you don't care about the Constitution.....

Actually, the main thing the voters need to realize is that neither Obama nor Romney (at least not until he produces paperwork that George Romney was naturalized or repatriated before Mitt was born) is a "natural born citizen" and are therefore not eligible to be POTUS.  Every single sitting politician in the US, as they have sworn an oath to "protect and defend the US Constitution" are in violation of their oath of office, which is a felony offense.  This oath is also binding from the day it is taken until the day the oath-taker dies.  This is every single one, Federal, State and Local unless they have vocally, and on the record, spoken up against this usurper in the White House.  And as SCOTUS and the Federal Courts (curiously, the 9th Circus Court has actually helped in this matter) have almost unanimously refused to allow any citizen to challenge this crisis by ruling "no standing", "no jurisdiction", and many other excuses, they are all in violation of the US Constitution which guarantees that all citizens are afforded proper redress to their greivances against the government.

We have complete tyrranical rule from all three branches of the Federal Government and we have State and local governments which will not allow the Citizens a voice against this abomination.  As these actions undermine the US Constitution, they are highly treasonous in nature.

I will be voting "under duress" in the primaries and in the general election on all votes where i must choose either the incumbent or any current politician as I will have no choice other than voting for a traitor to the USA on these votes.  If I have any choice other than these, I have no choice than to vote for the outsider no matter how much it seems that it will be a wasted vote.  It will not be a wasted vote because it will be a vote to uphold the Constitution, the only way I can fulfill my solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution in the foreseeable future.  My vote is all I have left to defend this nation from the traitors that have infiltrated in and are currently running it.

Pass this information to everyone you know.  Only by voting FOR the Constitution can we even hope to regain this country and restore the Constitution to the Law of the Land rather than the doormat it is currently being used for.
