This past Independence Day weekend, my friend, LCDR (Retired) Guy
Cunningham, delivered an outstanding address here in Pensacola, Florida, in
which he said that America is now in "The Age of Perfidy." He went on to say
that our country is soon to enter "The Age of Despotism." I candidly confess
that I believe the retired Naval officer could be more right than we might
want to admit.

Commander Cunningham is no slouch. He was a Green Beret (who served in the
same Special Forces company alongside his father and two brothers), an
infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division, Navy pilot, mission commander
and analyst. He is also the author of the now-famous 29 Palms Survey. His
military credentials are unassailable. When Commander Cunningham speaks,
people should listen.

Commander Cunningham revealed tremendous insight into the stranglehold that
the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) holds over the U.S. military by
estimating that "75% of military admirals and generals with two stars or
more have been trained by the CFR." He also came to the defense of Michael
New, who rightly honored his oath to the Constitution by refusing to submit
to the authority, uniform, and military commanders of the United Nations
when ordered to do so by his superior officers.

Speaking of the UN, Commander Cunningham rightly assessed the international
body to be a sinister organization that threatened the sovereignty and
independence of the United States, and from which the US needed to withdraw.
He also boldly stated that any and all treaties made with the UN should be
immediately annulled.

Commander Cunningham also highlighted the results of his 29 Palms Survey
(conducted in 1994), in which more than 20% of those combat-trained Marines
surveyed stated that they would fire upon American citizens in order to
confiscate their firearms if ordered to do so and, if required, would swear
allegiance to the United Nations. Cunningham said he feared that if those
same questions were asked of our Marines today, the percentage would be even
higher.

It was Commander Cunningham's statement that the United States is on the
verge of despotism, however, that really grabbed my attention. If anyone
should know the ins and outs of the science of freedom and oppression, it is
Commander Cunningham. His research and analysis of history, both American
and military, gives him a keen insight into the subject.

In supporting his ominous conclusion, Cunningham noted former President Bill
Clinton's introduction of PDD 25 (a Presidential Directive that is still in
place), which reportedly authorizes the President to use and declare martial
law at any time, for any reason. He reminded us of how the US military has
been used several times for action on US soil.

The US military was used directly in the government attack against the
Branch Davidians at the private residence of Mount Carmel outside Waco,
Texas. The military was stationed outside Los Angeles, California, during
the LA riots. The military was used in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
The military even patrolled the streets of the tiny town of Geneva, Alabama,
after a man went on a short, albeit bloody, shooting spree.

Commander Cunningham also reminded us of how President George W. Bush
virtually expunged Posse Comitatus and set the table for despotism and
martial law by signing the USA Patriot Act into existence. As a result, we
now have an entire Army division assigned to the American homeland, a first
in US history. He noted that even FEMA has the authority to declare martial
law.

Commander Cunningham also referenced recent Department of Homeland Security
(DHS) sponsored reports that refer to pro-life Christians, proponents of the
Second Amendment, and supporters of Ron Paul and yours truly (along with
many others) as potential terrorists. Such gross mischaracterizations of
law-abiding people--based solely on their political views--serves only to
reveal the federal government's willingness to both demonize and marginalize
people for the purpose of preparing the stage for possible military and
police action against them, he said.

The commander said further that his intelligence tells him that there are
Muslim terrorists already in the United States who are planning to stage
multi-city attacks, perhaps as early as this summer. He also expressed
incredulity at the fact that our federal government certainly knows that
these Muslim terrorists have been slipping across the southern border of the
US for some time and there has been almost no attempt by any Presidential
administration to stop them.

Commander Cunningham also expressed the fear that, should another attack
occur within our country, the current administration would not hesitate to
declare martial law, which would almost certainly include the confiscation
of firearms. At that point, he said, America will have entered "The Age of
Despotism."

I think it prudent, at this point, to make note of the fact that it was the
attempted confiscation of firearms by the British Crown that precipitated
the "shot heard 'round the world" and the advent of America's War for
Independence. Until then, America's founders were content to use peaceful
means to petition British injuries and injustices. But when the Crown moved
against their guns, the colonists resisted with violence, and there was no
remedy but complete and permanent separation.

If Commander Cunningham's educated prognostications regarding the Obama
administration's intentions to confiscate our guns and put us under some
sort of despotic rule are accurate, it is incumbent to remember that a
British king and a Japanese emperor each "awakened a sleeping giant" within
the hearts of the American people by attempting to render us defenseless.
If, now, a US President wants to repeat history, all he needs to do is try
and bring about "The Age of Despotism," and he will find that the "sleeping
giant" is still very much alive and well in the hearts of millions of
freedom-loving Americans.

Chuck, I loved your post and am willing to walk side by side with anyone whose interest is to return our country to what our forefathers built but . . . Many of our citizens do not understand that when those 56 brave men signed what is known as the Declaration of Independence that they were in essence declaring war on the British government and it would be 13, yes 13 years before America was truly Independent. Thirteen years of war, 13 years of death, maiming, starvation, torture and prison for not just these 56 but by many many others. Which causes me to pause and ask, are the young men & women of today willing to wage war for thirteen or more years to return to something they never experienced? God help us. I do not know the answer and only time will tell.

Harry, Thank for putting this post up. I hope people understand how truly evil the CFR and UN are. Their intent is World Government and we have got to stop them. Patriots you MUST ask your canidates their stance on the United Nations. If they are Pro-UN take them off you list and the same goes for members of the CFR. If they are a member, take them off you list. Please, don't even entertain the idea of having them as a viable canidate.

Sarah Palin is Pro-UN. Although I hate to see what the media is doing to her and think it is low down and under-handed and uncalled for, I will not entertain the idea of her being my President.

I believe firmly that the time is rapidly approaching when ordinary citizens are going to have to take up arms and take strong action against the current Statist Federal government with or without the tacit approval of their respective States or anyone else. Just as in the pre-Revolutionary War days, American citizens sought to use peaceful means against tyranny, such as boycotts, protest marches, etc, and restricted themselves to lawful means of protest -- even defending the British soldiers who shot down in the street 5 men on March 5, 1770 -- the American colonists were pushed to the breaking point when General Gage ordered troops to Lexington and Concord to remove arms and ammunition rightfully theirs for self-defense. Lexington, Massachusetts, was the site of "The Shot Heard Round the World" during a brief battle won by British soldiers for the moment. We are coming too rapidly to the breaking point those colonists faced and will have to decide, either collectively or individually, whether to gird our loins for a new war for freedom in our beloved nation. What will you do when that moment arrives? "As for me, give me liberty or give me death!"

You need to consider all the young brain washed youth of today. I have learned more about our history in the last year of my own studies than I ever did in all of my schooling. The youth today have no clue. The Elite David Rockefeller gave the land in Manhattan to the UN for free.Yes FOR FREE. He is a memeber of CFR and the Bilderbergs. They think their money can control our armies. And so far it has. If Rockefellers Standard Oil company had not sold Hitler the jet fuel needed for his airforce not one of his planes would have ever got of the ground. And thats a fact. WAR+ELITE= PROFIT for them. Dept for America. Do you know 100 years ago we had NO DEPT. Ever since the federal reserve was put into effect, we have been in dept. War forces us to borrow money. No thanks to Obama. Each of my children have $116,000 dept on there head as does every other person in this country. And who owns that dept? We dont even know anymore.. When 2 Japanese are caught on the Italian border with $134billion in US Bonds.Including Kennedy bonds and not one news agency in America reports it. Can someone please help me out with this..... Here is my statement/question. We know where things are headed. Who initates? Our top military obviously are going to do anything. Will be it top ranking Oathkeepers? and if so when? How much longer do we not do a damn thing. I fear that that a breaking point is coming soon but, I fear that it will be unorganized and a failure. We need Organization and Constituition. Can anybody help me answer this question or at least give a good debate. We are losing our country in a fast and furious way a we aren't to my knowledge doing a damn thing.

Having worked in the Goverment Schools for 21 years I will tell you that I believe that most of the folks indoctrinated in the schools are pacifist or depending on the govererment for thier sustinence. The presidential election in 1995 was 451 for the liberal and 1 for the conservative when the 6th grade voted. The entire middle school was 1176 for the liberal and 13 for the conservative. Who will these indoctrinated people side with. These are the people that the Obama administration wants to turn into the American Version of the Brownshirts. I feel not only will true patriots have to fight our military but also intercity thugs that the goverment has taught.

Spitfire, I believe others can answer this question far better than I but here goes. I believe that our government has to initiate the first move, be it an "event" or the surrendering of arms or the excessive taxation of it's peoples. Remember we are only 6 months into this new administration and I do not see him making a move till he has better consolidated his political base, late 1st term if there is a chance of him loosing but for sure before before his 2nd term is up. But I believe he will either use a natural disaster or create an "event" allowing him to declare martial law. Rioting, nuclear explosion, or something along these lines but it has to be big. Somehow he has to be able to blame it on the right, some how he must be seen by the masses as either the savior or they will be so confused they won't know what to believe. And "if" he can manufacture this to where our military will side with him than . . . We will be fighting the second civil war.

Col. Sir, you are a hero to those of us that stand ready with our eyes wide open to potential upcoming events such as Commander Cunningham has spoken to. The couintry needs no more than the reckless assault on the citizen by shutting us out and attempting to take our guns thinking that will subdue those of us that will not go quietly in the night to set this play in motion. It is with regret to be told that it is known that the military would support the userper or the UN to fire upon citizens of the country they swore to protect and defend at the expense of all our liberties and freedoms of their fellow citizens. God protect the few that are seeking to keep this Great Nation from falling to this enemy within.
