Your 'p'rresident, Hussian Obama and his Progressive/Marxist allies in the Congress continue their efforts to reduce Our US Military to that of a 3rd World Nation. They not only ignore but are going out of their way to ignore ALL the PromiseS made to our Military Heros & their Famlies for Complete Medical Coverage.

Prior to WWII these famlies were give Free Medical Care as part of the Promise to those that inlisted, and if they retired, they, their Wives and any Dependent Children that this medical ccoverage would continue WITH OUT ANY CO-PAYS. Since that time that time the Progressive/Marxists and their Presidential Buddies have whittled away at this promise and today that FREE CARE PROMISE IS JUST A MEMORY.

It is my expectation from talking to Activey Duty personnal that THE MAJORITY WILL NOT RE-ENLIST DUE TO BRAKING PROMISSES MADE AND THE WAY THEY ARE FORCED TO WAGE WAR NOT TO WIN BUT AS A WAR OF ATTRITION.

I, AS A RETIRED VETRAN, WILL NO LONGER ENCOURAGE MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND OTHERS TO ENTER THE MILITARY IF THIS DISTRUCTION DOES NOT STOP AND ALL THE PROMISES MADE SINCE WWII ARE RESTORED! ! !

THEY FIGHT ARE WOUNDED AND DIE FOR US, THE LEAST WE CAN DO IS TO INSURE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RESTORES THE PROMISES MADE "IN OUR NAME".

Is Sequestration Real or Political Brinksmanship?

Not to long ago, Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL), Chair of the House Committee on  Veterans’ Affairs, wrote an editorial for Military.com’s ‘The  Passdown‘ in which he explained his concern that the reality of  sequestration – the congressionally mandated cuts that will automatically occur  later this year due to the Joint Select Committee’s failure to find $1.2  trillion dollars in deficit reductions – is about hit home for  veterans. The first line of Miller’s article reads: “As it stands right now,  sequestration of government programs is imminent.” Hard to say that is anything  less than definitive. Miller’s concern goes beyond the issue of how this will  impact our national defense, Miller is worried that an ambiguity in the law  could be used by the Office of Management and Budget to cut as much as two  percent from the VA’s Healthcare budget. Chairman Miller wrote that the sequestration law was updated in 2010 with the  intent to ensure VA’s budget would be shielded. But the OMB seems to be ignoring  the intent of the revision.

According to my sources both Chairman Miller and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA),  Chair of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, have contacted the OMB  asking if they intended to touch the VA budget. Neither has received an answer;  it is as if the OMB has gone darkened ship.

Rep. Miller has gone as far as to ask President Obama to exempt the VA from  sequestration. The Congressman says that to date he has not been given a formal  response other than a statement by an OMB spokeswoman, who stated that “…the  administration will provide sequester implementation guidance later in the  year.”

The OMB leaves a lot of room for speculation. Perhaps keeping their plans  close to the vest is the OMB’s best means of leveraging Congress to find a  solution, without actually coming out and threatening veteran services. After  all fear works. Last year the government used the fear of a government shut-down  with its associated late military pay checks and limited VA services to help  reach yet another “Continuing Resolution.” BTW – I think we can look forward to that happening again later this  year. The truth is, military servicemembers, veterans, and their families are  getting tired of being used as political pawns in a game of budgetary chicken,  they want no part of it. Most feel it’s about time to take military pay and  veteran’s services off the table for good and stop using fear tactics to achieve  political goals. To answer the headline question… Yes

Whether we like it or not: the time is coming when we will all be FORCED to make a decision none of us could ever have anticipated if we are baby boomers or borne before that time. This country is no  longer that country and if we would see a return to it; we WILL have to fight for it. End of story.

our forefathers had to camp out on the mall in d.c. and some even died to get the government to take us seriously. i guess its time we all got our combat boots on and show our sons and grandsons that we are man enough to honor our ancestors and worthy enough for the next generation of soldiers toput their selves in harms way. the time for taliking is rapidly disappearing.

With a very few exceptions, we have haven't had politicians with honor for a very long time.  The  wars we have fought since WWII have been run by politicians and was all for not.  We worry about bringing democracy to the rest of the world while they hate us and will destroy us if given a chance.  Bring all the troops home!  Protect our home land and let the rest of the world sort themselves out.

Yes, we as Veterans recognize the need, as did the "Bonus Marchers" from WW-1 of which a handful gave their lives on the Mall in D.C. pursuing the Government to fulfill their promise of a Bonus...Veterans have been screwed since day one....Yes, once again we are going to have to fight for it.....Freedom is not Free.......................

and this is what is wrong with our country right now. this morning I put out the phone number to the Whitehouse to call and demand Panetta be tried for treason, next to a blog about how he and ovomit are taking over our Nation. I got one (1) response all day. Not that they made the call but they "liked" the idea. EVERYBODY is waiting for someone else to save our butts. and too lazy to pick up the phone, instead of jamming the phone lines DEMANDING they listen to us. It is more FUN to read about all the damage ovomit is doing, than to DO SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS CALL! Wait for the HOLOCAUST. Then we will feel the fire. Why I even had someone write a joke about how ineffectual the Whitehouse is: ALL THE LINES ARE BUSY. WE WILL NOT RETURN THE CALL. Now I know why God weeps. We all must be like that in Church.

all I got was people asking me to pull them off of my emails lists. boy am I in for a rude awakening. I really thought people cared about this Country. They really don't, they just care about their butts being safe and fat and happy, going on their "head in the sand" way.
