Candidate Issues Checklist
Dear Candidate (incumbent or challenger),
Whereas; Over the last few years “We the People…” have been repeatedly double-crossed by our elected officials who run on promises they never fulfill, pledge allegiance to our flag and country but then ignore their pledge and swear an oath to “…protect and defend…” our constitution and then vote for legislation that is clearly unconstitutional, and,
Whereas; “We the People…” have decided that we cannot trust our elected leaders to have the honesty and integrity necessary to operate an uncorrupted government, and,
Whereas; Our country, in part due to the disgraceful example shown by our leaders, has seen a steady decline in societal and personal values, morals and principles resulting in a continual degradation of civil society, and,
Whereas; Numerous, if not most, of our elected and appointed leaders have shown that they have an insatiable greed for personal wealth and personal power, and,
Whereas; In order for “We the People…” to be able to better discern the intentions of candidates for office (whether incumbents running for reelection or challengers) and, by requiring them to sign a document stating what they intend to do if (re)elected, placing greater moral and ethical pressure upon them fulfilling their promises, pledges and oaths, it is hereby,
Resolved; That all candidates (incumbent or challenger) must fill out the below checklist and, upon placing their signature at the bottom, return the original to the voter or organization who sent it to them, cause a copy to be published on any and all web sites supporting or operated by their campaign and to also cause a copy to be published in the two (2) newspapers in their state with the largest circulation (or the two (2) papers with the largest circulation in the country if running for federal office). It is further,
Resolved; That anyone who has been appointed to or nominated for appointment to any public office must also fill out and sign the below checklist and cause it to be published as stated above for candidates. It is further,
Resolved; Copies of this checklist are to be made available for review at all campaign related gatherings, town or city halls and at all state and federal capitol buildings. It is further,
Resolved; That no public funds are to be utilized to implement any of the forgoing actions.

NOTE: This checklist only allows for yes or no answers as the issues involved are worthy of absolute yes or no answers and we have endeavored to word the questions so that they address only one aspect of each issue at a time and thus do not require any further elucidation of your answers.
HONESTY AND INTEGRITY
Do you believe that the single MOST IMPORTANT character trait that anyone wanting to be a leader is HONESTY?
Do you believe that you are performance bound by our country’s “Pledge of Allegiance” to do only those things which are in accordance with its constitution?
Do you pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all?
Do you believe you are (or will be if not already serving) performance bound by your oath of office to “…preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States?”
Do you believe that your oath prevents you from composing, submitting, sponsoring, co-sponsoring or voting in favor of any legislation that is unconstitutional or would cause any citizen to perform an unconstitutional act?
Do you believe that your oath of office requires you to immediately act to initiate, or cause to be initiated, procedures or proceedings to remove from office any fellow public servant who acts in violation to their oath of office?
Do you believe that anyone who violates their oath of office should be tried for treason?
Do you believe that, if a candidate obtains office through fraud or other illegal methods, that they need to be impeached by the House of Representatives and tried by the Senate to be removed (or legally relieved of duty according to established methods for a legally serving public servant), or can they be simply arrested and held for trial as they never legally qualified for the office that they have been fraudulently holding?
Do you sear (or affirm) to be honest at all times, to perform all of your duties with the highest integrity to the Constitution and to the people?
Do you swear (or affirm) to immediately report to the people any fellow public servant that speaks, acts or attempts to act dishonestly or in violation to their oath of office, the Constitution of the United States or the good faith placed in them by the people?
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS & CITIZENSHIP
Do you believe that the Constitution of the United States apples to CITIZENS and welcome diplomats or legally resident foreigners only?
Do you believe that a “natural born citizen” is someone born in the United States (or its territories, military bases, embassies, etc.) to citizen parents (plural as in both)?
Do you believe that the United States should bestow our most valuable gift, citizenship, on a child just because he was born within our borders?
Do you believe that citizenship should only be awarded to children born within our borders if their parent (i.e. mother as men cannot have babies) is in this country legally?
Do you believe that citizenship should be revoked from all past children of illegal aliens?
Do you believe that the United States is a constitutional republic?
Will you work to require all unclassified government meetings to be recorded and made available for viewing by any citizen within 24 hours of the start of the meeting?
The Preamble to The Bill of Rights
“Congress of the United States
begun and held at the City of New-York, on
Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.
THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.
RESOLVED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, two thirds of both Houses concurring, that the following Articles be proposed to the Legislatures of the several States, as amendments to the Constitution of the United States, all, or any of which Articles, when ratified by three fourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of the said Constitution; viz.
ARTICLES in addition to, and Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, proposed by Congress, and ratified by the Legislatures of the several States, pursuant to the fifth Article of the original Constitution.”
Whereas; There seems to be considerable confusion (mostly among lawyers) as to the specific meaning and scope of our rights as so clearly stated in the part of our constitution known as “The Bill of Rights” otherwise known as the first ten (10) amendments, we have provided the following questions so We the people…” will know exactly where you stand;
Do you believe that one citizen’s rights end only when they infringe on the rights of another citizen?
Do you believe that a citizen gives up his rights when he violates our laws and is convicted of a felony?
Do you agree that, after serving their sentence that most of those rights are automatically restored but that the right to vote in federal elections and the right to keep and bear arms can only be restored on proof of good character being submitted to their state senator and being approved by same?
Do you believe that a citizen forfeits their rights if they provide aid and comfort to our enemies and/or take up arms against the United States?
Do you believe that the Supreme Court has any power to restrict or limit the rights of the people?
Do you believe that all prior rulings of the Supreme Court need to be reviewed by the legislative branch to ensure that they conform to the original intent of the Constitution (Original intent to be in accordance with a plain reading of the exact words used according to the definitions in use in 1776 and amendments will be interpreted by the definitions in use on the date they were passed by congress)?
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Do you believe that Congress can make a law restricting any citizen from freely exercising their religion at any time and in any place they believe they must?
Do you believe that if the people of a town vote to pay for and erect a nativity scene on the town hall lawn that they have the right to do so under the 1st amendment?
Do you believe that if the people of a town vote to NOT have any other religious display on their (the public’s) town hall lawn that they have the right to do so under the 1st amendment?
Do you believe that, if the people choose to exercise their religion by electing legislators whom they know will vote to protect the words “Under God” from being removed from the official “Pledge of Allegiance” (as adopted by congress), and whom they know will vote to protect the “National Motto” of “In God We Trust” (as adopted by congress) and whom they know will vote to (not force) but to allow religious education to be put back into public school curriculums, that the Supreme Court has no power to block such legislation as it would be unconstitutional for it to do so?
Do you believe that Islam is a religion under our constitution?
Do you believe that Islam, being wholly incompatible with the functions of a constitutional republic, needs to be banned in America?
Do you believe that Sharia Law must be outlawed as being incompatible with our judicial system?
Do you believe that the government has no power to place any limits on any speech (especially political speech) unless that speech would cause immediate harm (such as yelling “FIRE” in a movie theatre when there is no fire)
Do you believe that a “free press” must also be a responsible press where they are only allowed to report verifiable facts and that the only biased reporting is contained in clearly labeled “opinion” sections?
Do you believe that any number of citizens can assemble at any public location at any time they choose?
Do you believe that the government is required to respond when the people petition the government to redress grievances?
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Do you believe that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right?
Do you believe that the government (state or federal) can pass any law that infringes on an individual’s right to keep and bear arms?
Do you believe that all current gun control legislation, laws or regulations are unconstitutional and are thus null and void?
Do you believe that the citizens of the United States have the right to bear arms when they assemble in Washington to petition the Government for a redress of grievances?
Do you agree that an unloaded weapon is not arms but just a paperweight and that the right to bear arms includes the right to have that arm loaded?
Do you agree that “Weapon Free Zones” actually increase the danger of those who are in them?
Do you agree that the right to keep and bear arms is not restricted to only “open carry” but also applies to concealed carry and thus no permit is required to carry a concealed weapon?
Do you agree that the right to bear arms is universal (especially on public property as, after all, it is ours).
Do you agree the only restrictions on where a citizen can bear arms should be related to the immediate safety of the occupants of the area such as courthouses or on airplanes [unless they are locked in checked baggage or surrendered to the captain at the gate and recovered upon deplaning]? In the case of courtrooms our right to bear arms ends with right of witnesses and judicial employees to be safe from intimidation.
Do you believe that citizens have the right to bear arms in all public buildings such as the U.S. Capitol, the Whitehouse or any other building where the public’s business is conducted?
Do you agree that the only thing that should preclude a citizen from exercising their right to keep and bear arms is if they lose that right by committing and being convicted of a felony and that that is the only check that there should be on the sale of arms?
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
So, the military cannot force a homeowner (or apartment lessor) to let our nations soldiers sleep, eat, bathe etc. in their home unless we are at war and congress has passed laws describing the manner in which this is to happen.
Do you agree that this right says what it says and means what it says and needs no further clarification?
Do you agree that, if our founders could draft this amendment in language that is clear enough to understand over 200 years later, that they were also capable of crafting the rest of the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence in the same manner and that the Supreme Court needs to stick to the original intent of the plain meaning of all of its clauses?
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Do you believe that the government (state or federal) including any and all law enforcement personnel or agencies DOES NOT have the right to search any person, house (or apartment) or effects unless it first obtains a warrant issued as described above?
Do you believe that digital/analog communications are “effects” of the person and thus require a warrant to be monitored, searched or intercepted?
Do you believe that investigations of enemy activity, insurgents, subversion or espionage (remember a citizen cannot commit subversion or espionage because as soon as he engages in such activity he forfeits his citizenship and thus his rights under the constitution) require warrants for searches if they are not searching any citizens person, house, papers or effects?
Do you believe that illegal aliens, enemy combatants, spies or terrorists have any rights under our constitution?
Do you believe that the above individuals only have the rights our country has agreed to in international treaties and basic human rights such as the right to be fed, given water, protection from the elements?
Do you believe that, as Commander-in-Chief of our military, that the President is the only one that can authorize extreme measures in dealing with the above individuals, that he needs to have that option available to him and that whether or not he uses that authority should be a closely held national secret?
Do you believe that any veteran who has been found to be totally and permanently disabled by both the Department of Veteran’s Affairs AND the Social Security Disability Insurance program has paid his price to live in our society and thus should not be liable for any further taxation (both state and federal including income tax, property tax, sales tax, excise tax, etc.)?
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Do you believe that the “Patriot Act” violates this amendments proscription against depriving citizens of liberty (freedom from unreasonable search, etc.) without due process of law?
Do you believe that this amendment allows government at any level to take personal property from one and then award it to another just because they feel that the new use would better serve the public interest?
Do you believe that the only time the government can take personal property is after giving just compensation and only if the land will be put to direct public use (not through another private person or entity)?
Do you believe that the members of our military should not prosecutable for any acts committed in combat in any foreign court, civilian court or any other venue except for prosecution under the Uniform Code of Military Justice?
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.
Do you believe this amendment applies to any illegal aliens, enemy combatants, spies, terrorists or non-citizens who are in our country in violation of our laws?
Do you believe that illegal aliens, enemy combatants, spies or terrorists (remember a citizen cannot be a terrorist because as soon as he engages in such activity he forfeits his citizenship and thus his rights under the constitution) have any rights under our constitution?
Do you agree that, where “Assistance of Counsel” is guaranteed by the constitution, should all fees for counsel be regulated to ensure that it is not only the wealthy who can afford good counsel?
In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
Do you agree that this amendment precludes the Supreme Court from re-examining any civil suit where the defendant reserves the right to jury?
Do you believe that there should be limits placed on civil suit awards as a means of reducing liability insurance rates for numerous industries especially the medical industry?
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
Do you believe that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to remove TVs, game rooms, workout rooms, cigarettes, conjugal visits, etc. from our prisons (remember that those incarcerated for felonies forfeited their rights by breaking our laws)?
Do you believe that going to prison should be an extremely unpleasant experience in order to discourage repeat offenders?
Do you believe that prisons should be used to punish those that break our laws?
Or, do you believe that prisons should be used to “rehabilitate” criminals so they can become valuable members of our society (an approach that has not been proven to be effective)?
Do you agree that getting paroled or let out of prison early should be a rarity instead of the norm (as it is now) as it undercuts the intent of judge/jury and the people who approved the original sentence through their elected representatives and thus weakens the entire judicial system?
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
Do you believe that the rights enumerated in the constitution are not the only rights the people have?
Do you believe that citizens have a right to not be offended?
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Do you believe that the states are sovereign entities subject only to those few restriction the people placed upon them by the constitution?
Do you believe that the people have the right and duty as described in the Declaration of Independence to wit:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.” ?
Do you believe that the above stated right is the reason that the states and the people insisted that the constitution include protections for the right to keep and bear arms?
Do you believe that the powers granted to the federal government by the constitution are few and enumerated?
Or do you believe that the enumerated powers also imply others not specifically stated by the constitution?
Do you believe that there should be a constitutional amendment that, before any Supreme Court decision or ruling that would effectively create or establish new law can take effect, it should first be presented to the legislature and require a super majority vote of three (3) fifths of both houses in order for it to be valid?
Do you believe that all prior rulings and decisions of the Supreme Court that had the effect of expanding the powers of the federal government should be brought before congress and either approved or invalidated by both houses.
MORALITY AND ETHICS
IF there is a clear separation of Church and state as stated by the Supreme Court, and as John Adams stated:
“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Then should the people (on their own or through the Congress) develop and establish through the amendment process, a set of moral principles and values on which to base our society to guarantee that it not be further eroded through legislation, legal proceedings or precedents and thus fall into utter despotism and anarchy?
Do you believe that the right to life starts at conception?
Do you agree that abolishing abortion would not eliminate a woman’s right to choose what happens to her body, but, would simply require that she make that decision before having intercourse (which, by the way is when a man must choose, for if the woman gets pregnant and wants to keep it, the man can be held liable for child support etc.)?
Do you believe that illegal aliens, who have already shown that they do not respect our laws by breaking them to come here and continue to break them to stay here and work here, should be deported or otherwise forced to leave?
Do you believe that making E-Verify mandatory and increasing workplace enforcement, along with requiring proof of citizenship or legal status to receive any federal or state benefits including food stamps, entry to public schools for undocumented children, housing credits and all but truly life threatening emergent medical care would be effective at discouraging illegal immigration?
Do you believe that there should be a mandatory five (5) year jail sentence for any business owner or Chief Executive Officer if they or their company hire illegal aliens?
Do you agree that there is NO RIGHT to protect any citizen from being offended by the acts or words of another?
Do you believe that being “Politically Correct” is just a fancy way of justifying lies?
Will you pledge to do everything in you power to get America’s borders secured to prevent any unauthorized entry?
Do you believe that no treaty or foreign agreement can be valid if any provision in it would violate or cause Americans to violate the Constitution?
Do you believe that the United Nation’s “Agenda 21” should NOT be implemented in the United States?
Do you favor abolishing the Department of Education and returning control of education to the states?
Do you believe that the federal government should be setting curriculum for our schools and students?
Do you believe that “Common Core” should be abolished as a biased agenda that will reduce the education levels in our schools?
Do you believe that marriage should remain as being between one man and one woman?
Do you believe term limits need to be placed on Congressmen and Senators?
Do you believe term limits need to be placed on Supreme Court judges?
Do you believe that the Social Security program should be saved?
Do you believe that the Social Security program CAN be saved?
Do you believe that the Medicare program should be saved?
Do you believe that the Medicare program CAN be saved?
Do you believe that the “Affordable Care Act” (Obamacare) should be repealed?
Are you in favor of a balanced budget amendment?
Do you believe that photo identification needs to be required for all elections to ensure that only citizens vote?
Do you believe that photo identification needs to be required for all social aid programs to ensure that American’s tax dollars only go to citizens?
Do you believe that all recipients of social aid programs be required to pass a drug test in order to receive/continue to receive benefits?
Should the United States withdraw from the United Nations?
Should the United States require that the United Nations move their headquarters out of our country?
Do you believe that our Treasury Department should take back control of our monetary policy from the Federal Reserve Bank?
Do you think that the Federal Reserve Bank should be audited so American’s can know how they monitor and manipulate our monetary system?
Do you believe that each legislative bill needs to include only one issue with amendments that only pertain to that issue?
Do you believe that all legislative bills should be held for 5 days after the end of the debate and amendment process (and no new amendments can be added) before they can be voted on?
Do you support a “Flat Tax” that would tax all income over the federal poverty level at the same percentage for all individuals?
Do you support school vouchers that would allow parents to send their children to the school of their choice?
Do you believe that the 17th Amendment should be repealed returning the selection of senators to the state legislatures/governors?
Do you believe that corporations and unions should be restricted from engaging in any political activity, advocacy or lobbying?
Do you believe that in order to run for public office that a candidate must make all of his public records public (i.e. not “Sealed”)?
Do you favor abolishing the Environmental Protection Agency and turning enforcement of environmental violations to local law enforcement or the FBI?
Do you believe that the federal government still needs to fund National Public Radio, Endowment for the Arts, or any other “Cultural” organizations?
Do you believe in there being limits on individual donations to candidates and their campaigns?
Do you believe that “issue adds” should only be funded by individuals or declared political action organizations?
Do you believe that political action organization should only be allowed to accept donations from individuals and that there should be limits placed on those donations to ensure that all individuals have equal opportunity at being heard?
Do you believe that the Supreme Court should only be allowed to rule on the specific wording of legislation without trying to “mind read” the congress to determine their intent (if legislators cannot write their intent clearly into the bill, should it even be passed)?
Do you believe that the President DOES NOT have the power to amend, delay implementation of or alter any legislation as passed by congress?
