Five ways Obama’s new $1.5 Trillion plan tax could hurt your family:

1. SMALL BUSINESS TAX:

-- Expect more small business closures:
Obama’s plan calls for three different tax increases on Americans earning more than $200,000 – which will hit the Oregon small business sector hard who already are on the verge of laying off more workers.

2. WIRELESS TAX:

-- Expect higher cell-phone costs: Obama’s plan hits wireless companies with $4.8 billion in new taxes according to Americans for Tax Reform. This wireless Spectrum Tax gives the FCC authority to structure and implement the tax which will likely mean tax or cost increases on cell-phones, WiFi or other wireless devices like iPads. (This is the same FCC that favors an internet broadband tax!)

3. HEALTH INSURANCE TAXES:

-- Expect higher insurance rates Obama’s plan increases taxes for (1) employer provided health insurance, (2) health savings accounts, and (3) self-employed health insurance premiums.

4. TRAVEL TAX:

-- Expect higher ticket prices Obama's plan hits airlines at both ends. First, it raises taxes on all new airplanes (from airlines upgrading their fleet to small farmers buying crop dusters) and then hits the fuel they fly on with $50 billion in a handful of new taxes on fuel producers. You simply cannot spike the cost of doing business for the travel industry without it translating into higher ticket prices & baggage fees.

5. YOU MAY LOSE YOUR JOB!

-- Expect more local layoffs Oregon is witnessing its longest sustained decline since 1979. A September report shows Oregon’s economy has fallen for four straight months in a row. Oregon’s moment of economic weakness combined with a national $1.5 Trillion tax hammer has the real potential to spark widespread layoffs. Oregon has already lost 120,000 jobs since 2007, and if it loses another 10,000-100,000 it will be many who are reading this email.
