I just ran the schedule and numbers, but I'm going to have to confirm tomorrow AM, because I have difficulty believing the prices at this late date. Same trains, schedules, etc that we are taking for the 12 Sept. Group trip.
I don't know if we could try for a Group or not, but I'll find out tomorrow. But as it stands WITHOUT the Group discount, Round trip from JAX to DC and Return is , regular adult fare - $211.00. With a senior discount (62+) or Veterans Advantage, R/T is $ 179.30;
R/T with a AAA discount is $189.98; and child fare (2-15 yrs) is $105.50.
I would predict if we are able to get a Group , and we actually had 20 riders, the Adult Group price would be$169; Group Senior or Veterans Advantage would be $142.50;, AAA would be $152, and child fare would be $84.50.
I'll let you know about the availability of Group travel tomorrow morning.
This is turning into a Commuter special, isn't it?
By the way, one or two riders are forming carpools from Central Florida (Lakeland, Orlando, Winter Haven, etc,) to take advantage of the 9-12 Group from Jax. Linda G is looking for riders from Lakeland or points enroute Jax, and others have asked about Orlando or Winter Haven. Even have a potential rider, Rudy, flying from Wisconsin to join up in JAX. we are at 14 riders and counting.
