Thanks for your prompt reply. I must admit that I fully agree in your assessment of this site as I too find it difficult to Navigate. The way I found you was by clicking on to The Texas Region 2 Group , and I noticed you when I clicked on to your photo.
I have placed a couple of ads on the forum , both on this site, as well as the one on the OAS site, seeking any person who needs a ride to the DC event. So far, not one person has shown any interest. I found that amazing since there is supposedly going to 'millions' in attendance and I am sure someone would be desiring a ride.
I perfectly understand your situation, and agree that it would be nearly impossible for you to be there in May. I have made all of the hotel reservations both in going, and on the return trip to DC. I also was able to find a very affordable room on a site :www.airbnb.com where it is just going to cost me a little over $500.00 for the nine nights I reserved. That is a good site as you can book rooms in people's homes near where you desire to be.The price sure beat the Hotel cost in DC and I won't have to sleep on the ground at my age, lol.
In my particular case, I found a place just SE of The Mall area in a nice home where I can easily walk to the Mall and Monuments in 15 minutes. I reserved a room for 2 people for every room I reserved in case someone wanted to travel with me, and they wouldn't have to worry about a room , as it cost the same regardless of either one or two occupants.
Thanks again for your prompt and appreciated reply.
I just joined this site as I was already a member of the Texas Region 2 on the OAS site.
I noticed that you live in Harlingen. I live in Port Isabel, and it is nice seeing a fellow Patriot so near to me.
Are you planning on attending the OAS Operation? As for me, I just finished making the necessary pre-paid Hotel Reservations for the trip to and from Washington , as well as I found a room in a private home in DC on www.airbnb.com which was very reasonable in cost , and located just SE of the National Mall and Monuments as well as just being a 15 minute walk.
So far it is just me going, as I don't have anyone going with me at this time. I would like to find one person to travel with me since I will be driving. being I have a 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT392, it doesn't have a large area in the back seat, so I don't think it would be feasible for anyone to ride back there unless they are small.
Again, it is a pleasure to see someone so close who cares about the condition we now find our Nation.

How to post "live" URL in posts at PFA............. Adding URLs in blog posts that are not "live" is a waste of everyone's time.....
Here's how....if anyone has better guidance send to me.....
First........type your text entry into the post block to include typing or paste the URL you want us to view........when finished with the text, highlight and copy the URL in the text.......then click the "add hyperlink" tool in the B, I, U box just above the text entry, after clicking, a window will open asking for the URL...paste the URL in the box and click "OK".
