Detroit holds a special meaning to me. Back in the 90s, myself and my Chief of Staff, Ray Southwell, went to Detroit in full militia regalia to meet with representative of the Black Panthers, the Marcus Garvey Movement, and element of the newly formed Detroit Constitutional Militia then headed by Clifford Brookins, II. I was impressed with the reality of the situation in Detroit and then humbled when told, "You don't understand, Commander Olson, we are in a constant war zone by night and a police state by day."
I commend the efforts of all my friends in Detroit who are preparing for the economic meltdown and the ensuing anarchy. May God bless you all as you persevere in taking care of your families and your property.

It concerns me a great deal that so few law abiding Black Americans own guns. I appeal to them to reconsider purchasing a gun to protect their families. We are all in this boat together on a very rough sea, everyone of us needs to have a life jacket and a paddle. There is only one color of skin in America, may be different shades, but still only one color, American!

Way to go Detroit! My husband and I both own pistols for self protection on and off of our property. We are both licensed to carry concealed, however, in anti gun Massachusetts, more folks with legal firearms who use them to defend against an intruder in their home are the ones who end up behind bars because of all the ridiculous gun laws we have in this state. The way our gun laws are, even if you are not transporting your firearm according to the laws, it is now a felony in Mass. and you will go to jail. We had a case not too long ago where this happened to a law abiding citizen who was driving and had his firearm with him. He was stopped for a traffic violation and they found the firearm. Because he did not have the firearm in a locked case inside of his trunk, he was arrested and charged with a felony. I am glad to see that more and more people are getting their legal firearms and learning to use them. When all is said and done, the only person that will be immediately available to protect you or your loved ones from danger is yourself. You could be dead and the perpetrator long gone before the police might be there to help you.

the judges say if interstate commerce is affected then sales are in the fed's jurisdiction, that includes radishes... so, if We shut down DC they'll stay int their garden and mind their own business.

It's really about time America needs to wake up and not depend on calling the Police or Sheriff department
When and if someone enters your home. My wife and daughter both have take NRA classes on Pistol marksman ship. We do plan on self defense when some breaks in. also plan on how to defend if someone is outside you house car or neighborhood. Talk about the contigency's NOW.
