I had a dream
I heard as if real in that dream a song a beautiful song of Holy love
Sung by a choir of heavenly angels from somewhere on high
That beautiful song coming from beyond the stars above
So wonderful were those voices echoing across the sky
God’s greatest love and those angels that sung about his Son so sweet
God’s river of tears as the suffering of Jesus that flowed that day
When the nails was driven through Jesus hands and feet
The suffering of God; of Jesus as his life flowed away
The angels continued their song and in my dream tears started to flow
Then above the angels song I heard a booming voice saying to me
Cry not for Jesus; for he is God’s great glory God made it so
Jesus resurrection and God’s salvation is planned for thee
And the angels beautiful song was still echoing through the clouds to me
Telling me that Jesus is always the truth and God’s Holy Light
The faith in Jesus; God’s Holy Light eternal life I will see
Sing this beautiful song; O angels in my dream this night
This haunting angel’s song captured my thoughts my soul and my mind
So pure and sweet was the symphony of heavenly voices coming to me
Each word swirling, lingering about me no escape could I find
From that beautiful angels song of God’s love a rhapsody

Comment by Lawrence J. Zucal on July 9, 2012 at 7:41pm I agree with Allen. I also came home from Vietnam and had to wear civilian clothes so that the idiots could not attack us as we got off the plane. And the even worse part of that is the fact that those idiots are now in the White House! I swear to God that if "he" is reelected, the only way they will take my guns is from my cold, dead hands.
Comment by Clois Beckwith on July 9, 2012 at 8:55pm Lawrence, I am in the same boat as you, but I was on a ship out of San Diego. Came back in 1977.
God Bless all of our troops and all of our Veterans. You are all heroes to me. The Vietnam War effected me deeply as a young high school student in 65. Both of my older brothers enlisted in the Air Force, one stayed state side and the other was a year in Vietnam. It was the longest year of my young life.
You are all my heroes!! Thank you all for your service to our country.
Comment by Robert James Burkholder on July 10, 2012 at 6:36am We landed at the civillian airport because -for some reason--the Military airbase had been closed--the Pilot did not pull that freedom bird to the concourse and the warmth of the terminal . We ran -many of us still in the summer kaki we had out-processed in through the snowstorm past waiting "protesters" who called us vile names and tossed rotted food at us.spitting at us as we passed."welcome home" In College a Professor said the War in Vietnam didn't mean "nothin" because "we lost"-He never served a day in in his life. "Welcome Home" Any time I see someone wearing a unit patch--or Military uniform -- or carry the things veterans carry I will stop whatever I am doing-- cross to them and offer my hand -and a salute. Thank You for your service and when applicable -- "Welcome Home" . I stood with the best and the brightest --some I was even honored to be allowed help recover what they could from what the enemy had taken.WELCOME HOME Brother!and the same to the Ladies who put on that uniform WELCOME HOME
Comment by Twana Blevins on July 10, 2012 at 10:21am All you Vietnam Veterans - Imagine me as a small young toe head child welcoming all of you home. That is exactly what I wanted to do as a child. I wish I could have welcomed you each home with a smile, hug and my eyes telling you thank you.
I now wish I would have taken difference courses in my education so I could be in the halls of DC countering those 60's hate our troops hippies that are now causing much the same damage and pain on our Troops and Veterans now.
I long for the day when they are all held in full account for their crimes, treasons and blood on their hands.
Comment by Robert James Burkholder on July 10, 2012 at 12:56pm T'anks Twana--But please Never apologize for the path you took. It's where we now are that makes a difference.
And I am blessed by what you do here.T'anks.

Striking a Deal over Syria at the G8 Summit:
World leaders were close to striking a deal on pushing for peace in Syria at the G8 summit on Tuesday amid conflicting reports that certain leaders clashed on a roadmap to resolve the conflict.
Sources at the Group of 8 conference told Reuters news agency that the leaders disagreed in talks about the nature of a transitional government for Syria.

The Destruction of the Syrian Air Force:
The Syrian Air Force has suffered major losses in the last year, as the aircraft and helicopters were unleashed on rebels (and civilian supporters) and took a beating. Of the 370 usable fixed wing war planes the Syrian Air Force had two years, about half are now out of action because of combat losses or wear and tear. Nearly two-thirds of the 360 helicopters are gone, for the same reasons.
Part of the problem was [...]
