At the close of the Constitutional Convention on September 17, 1787, as Benjamin Franklin left the hall in Philadelphia, he was asked, "What kind of government have you given us, Dr. Franklin?" He replied: "A republic, if you can keep it."

WV Patriot, I just read this at American Thinker: Saving the Republic by Larry Anderson

We need to remind and teach everyone we can about our true history...a Republic.

We need to eschew the use of the term "democracy" to describe the type of government that we have in America. It was never intended to be anything but a "REPUBLIC". A Republic where the States control the reigns of the federal government.

Well said WV Patriot, the word democracy is wrong and vile.

great video, isnt this what i started posting when this site started?
but got shot down?
the tea parties were a great start but misdirected.
instead of nation wide protests all of those who attended a tea party should have met on the hill, not merely to protest taxation without representation but to completely purge our government of all who have brought us to this point in history. from the whitehouse to the hill.
anything less is a waste of our time.

Do not vote for any Democrat or Rino incumbents in 2010. Vote for conservatives who will honor their oath of office.

The current oath of office for Congress was enacted in 1884:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

His videos touch me in a way I find hard to explain. When he read the letter from the marine Tears ran down my face as chills went up my spine. We must not let what has begun die out we must build on the momentum and make our voices even louder. I was not able to be at the TEA parties due to health issues though I watched FOX and I wrote the papers in Helena, Butte, and Missoula MT soon as I woke up the next day. I have and will continue to write, call and fax ALL my elected officials so they know I am watching all they do. I can not travel to DC but will gladly help however I am able with anything that is needed, health permitting, Thank you for sharing this video I will be emailing it to others.

Striking a Deal over Syria at the G8 Summit:

“You’re close to a seven to one position on Syria and clearly (Vladimir) Putin [...]

The Destruction of the Syrian Air Force

The Destruction of the Syrian Air Force:

The Syrian Air Force has suffered major losses in the last year, as the aircraft and helicopters were unleashed on rebels (and civilian supporters) and took a beating. Of the 370 usable fixed wing war planes the Syrian Air Force had two years, about half are now out of action because of combat losses or wear and tear. Nearly two-thirds of the 360 helicopters are gone, for the same reasons.

Part of the problem was [...]
