Fortunately for us Jefferson was wrong on that.
The US Constitution was so well crafted that the original has managed to withstand the tests of time and it remains as the guiding principals upon which all US laws are based today.
Who among us here in America today would anyone consider intelligent and well educated enough to rewrite this set of documents?
I would never allow any one of this so-called "Woke" society to get any closer to the Constitution than to read it through a safety glass locked case.
Today unfortunately there is no one alive that has lived under our original constitution. That was changed in 1913 and a person would be well over 100 years old to have lived in America while we were governed by that Constitution. So when all these people scream and holler that they want things to change they never seem to take the time to read that set of Constitutional documents and laws.
They all want change but the change they are really looking for is right under their noses.
All they have to do is enforce it.
America would be such a far better country if we could only return to our Constitutional roots as a free Constitutional republic.
A government OF the People, BY the people, and FOR the people.
One Nation under GOD with liberty and justice for all.

This is known as the separation of powers.
And it is in fact what the American civil war was all about.
The North, (the union) wanted to force and end to slavery.
The Southern States said "screw-you", they wanted to maintain their independence and their rights of the plantation owners to hold slaves.
There were several other issues that made up the discords between the North and the South but slavery became the primary issue.
When the Southern states decided to secede from the union, the North said "NO - you can't do that". And the war was on.
President Lincoln invaded the South. This is why some southerners refer to Lincoln as our first Domestic terrorist.
The American civil war was not really about slavery, it was about the sovereignty and independence of the States versus the power and authority of the Federal Government.
The primary job of the Federal Government is to protect, defend, and preserve to freedom, liberty, and the lives of the people and to protect, preserve, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America,,, against ALL enemies, foreign OR domestic.
But the federal government currently residing in Washington DC has abandoned that Constitution. They have abandoned their duties to protect the people, the citizens of this great nation.
The United States of America is a Constitutional Republic.
it is NOT some kind of Democracy.
A "Democracy" is some kind of mob-rule. "He who gets the most votes makes the rules".
The only portion of our Government that functions as a democracy is in the national elections.
(He who receives the most electoral college votes becomes the President).
But that's it, everything else is a Constitutional REPUBLIC.
America needs to restore our Constitution and get away from this stupid and dangerous democracy foolishness.
At least Texas may have a plan to preserve Texas as a free and sovereign State/Nation.
There are approximately 30 US States that voted conservative/Republican.
If all of those States would work together they could declare that Washington DC has no authority within their respective borders.
This is the fundamental separation of powers between the States and the federal Government.
The United States of America;
Look at that name. The United States of America is comprised or 50 individual sovereign States.
Each State is an independent sovereign nation.
Under the US Constitution The Federal Government has been granted limited powers and authority to do the things that the States can not do alone.
The primary job of the federal government is to protect the country from foreign invasion, and to defend and protect the people.
The federal government is failing on all aspects of it's duty.
They have broken the covenant of the US Constitution.
It is a breach of contract, that contract being the US Constitution itself.
It is time for the States to step up and do the job the federal government refuses to do.
USA will be destroyed & Russia & China will not have to fire a shot.
Nothing short of complete world dominance.
The intend to control the entire global population.
The elimination of the United States of America.
