Hi All;
Just wanted to pass on a poem I receiver from a fellow vet. The poem was written by a Marine Corps Officer who wishes to remain anonymous, no further explanation is necessary:
THE BATTLING BOYS OF BENGHAZI
We're the battling boys of Benghazi
No fame, no glory, no paparazzi.
Just a fiery death in a blazing hell
Defending our country we loved so well.
It wasn't our job, but we answered the call,
fought to the Consulate and scaled the wall.
We pulled twenty Countrymen from the jaws of fate
Led them to safety, and stood at the gate.
Just the two of us, and foes by the score,
But we stood fast to bar the door.
Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied,
So we fought, and we fought, and we fought 'til we died.
We gave our all for our Uncle Sam,
But Barack Obama didn't give a damn.
Just two dead seals who carried the load
No thanks to us.........we were just "Bumps In The Road".

one of my own, more intangible than this:
Memories floating slowly by, of things I once perceived
Confusion, aggravation, pain, feelings I once conceived.
Now our lives have run away, fleeing from the scene
Leaving us standing here alone, now we must come clean.
Why don't they listen? To the very words they say?
They always have an exception, to their rules made every day!
Tomorrow brings another test, to the life we live to love
Sometimes we wish we could fly away, just like a mourning dove.
I will pass your words of praise on, Jeramy.. I was moved by yours as well, there is a lot going on there, and I did not miss the spelling of the next to the last word.. You have obviously suffered for your art, but you have a good head on your shoulders....
No longer are we going to be bumps in the road. From now on, may we be the Mountain that stops Obama and our useless Politicians.

Thanks for passing the poem on, and for me, while passing my thanks on to a brother, also pass on a thought I've had, ever since the commander in chief went AWOL. That thought being, to heck with impeaching the SOB, he went awol, deserted his post, and needs to be arrested.
