I Strongly Urge everyone to read this complete article byMr. Krauthammer, not once but several times. It provides the Truest Assessment of the Destruction of America by the "Islamic" Chairman Obama", the Marxist (Progressive) Congress and their supporters available. It points out the deliberate moves by the 'p'resident to degrade what and who America has been in the past and his deliberate acts along with the Congress to reduce the Glory and Richness of a FREE America to that of the most Backward Marxist ENSLAVED Countries on earth, Russia, China, N. Korea, to include Europe's, South America's and Africa's rush to Marxism or one of its Bastard Children Socialism and/or Communism. We must act, using what ever force is necessary to Save Our Constitutional America or become, as I have predicted, the "USSR" of America, enslaved, hungry, and in poor health - the very sad demise of the Beacon of Freedom, America "That Shinning City on the Hill".IF THIS ARTICLE DOESN'T SCARE THE HELL OUT OF ALL OF YOU LIKE IT DOES ME THEN YOU AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION! ! !Source and complete Article a "Must Read"for Conservatives:http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/017/056lfnpr.aspDecline Is a ChoiceThe New Liberalism and the end of American ascendancy.by Charles Krauthammer10/19/2009, Volume 015, Issue 05The weathervanes of conventional wisdom are registering another round of angst about America in decline. New theories, old slogans: Imperial overstretch. The Asian awakening. The post-American world. Inexorable forces beyond our control bringing the inevitable humbling of the world hegemon. On the other side of this debate are a few--notably Josef Joffe in a recent essay in Foreign Affairs--who resist the current fashion and insist that America remains the indispensable power. They note that declinist predictions are cyclical, that the rise of China (and perhaps India) are just the current version of the Japan panic of the late 1980s or of the earlier pessimism best captured by Jean-François Revel's How Democracies Perish. The anti-declinists point out, for example, that the fear of China is overblown. It's based on the implausible assumption of indefinite, uninterrupted growth; ignores accumulating externalities like pollution (which can be ignored when growth starts from a very low baseline, but ends up making growth increasingly, chokingly difficult); and overlooks the unavoidable consequences of the one-child policy, which guarantees that China will get old before it gets rich. And just as the rise of China is a straight-line projection of current economic trends, American decline is a straight-line projection of the fearful, pessimistic mood of a country war-weary and in the grip of a severe recession.Among these crosscurrents, my thesis is simple: The question of whether America is in decline cannot be answered yes or no. There is no yes or no. Both answers are wrong, because the assumption that somehow there exists some predetermined inevitable trajectory, the result of uncontrollable external forces, is wrong. Nothing is inevitable. Nothing is written. For America today, decline is not a condition. Decline is a choice. Two decades into the unipolar world that came about with the fall of the Soviet Union, America is in the position of deciding whether to abdicate or retain its dominance. Decline--or continued ascendancy--is in our hands. Not that decline is always a choice. Britain's decline after World War II was foretold, as indeed was that of Europe, which had been the dominant global force of the preceding centuries. The civilizational suicide that was the two world wars, and the consequent physical and psychological exhaustion, made continued dominance impossible and decline inevitable. The corollary to unchosen European collapse was unchosen American ascendancy. We--whom Lincoln once called God's "almost chosen people"--did not save Europe twice in order to emerge from the ashes as the world's co-hegemon. We went in to defend ourselves and save civilization. Our dominance after World War II was not sought. Nor was the even more remarkable dominance after the Soviet collapse. We are the rarest of geopolitical phenomena: the accidental hegemon and, given our history of isolationism and lack of instinctive imperial ambition, the reluctant hegemon--and now, after a near-decade of strenuous post-9/11 exertion, more reluctant than ever.

  • Wow. I just finished reading the article. It makes a lot of great points, and has left me with a stronger sense of hope than I had before. It makes a lot of sense on the point that decline is a choice. After all, with all these people wanting to not work and live off the government, it comes to show that what has happened in our country is a reverse in personal responsibility. More people nowadays think that just because they were born they deserve to be taken care of. They are being taught that personal responsibility isn't a necessity, and that working hard and enjoying the fruits of your labor is just "so hard to do". Ultimately, what we need is to re-educate people on the great benefits of hard work, self-responsibility, self reliance, and self sustaining. If we can accomplish that, even on a small scale, I can guarantee that the ripple effect will do the rest for a large number of Americans. Of course there will be the arrogant and thick headed who think that they deserve everything for nothing, but I can almost guarantee that if we focus on changing education we will turn our country around.

Of course, I can say for sure that the high-and-mighty politicians won't conform, as they've gotten so used to living on the taxes of hard working Americans, but we just need to keep looking forward, and keep our minds set on changing Americas education system: ie - giving it back to the states by dissolving the Department of Education.
    • Joe, You stumbled onto the root cause of what is happening in America and the world. Over the years, because my sons were in the public system (my oldest turns 49 this year), I said many times the education system is the problem. Consider most of the touted great thinkers in society today, like our politicians, are the indoctrinated resultants of that system. Like Pavlov's dog, they lack independent thought or the ability to think critically following one or the other doctrine blindly without knowledge of cause and effect. There are the fortunate or unfortunate few, depending on your point of view, who have had the fortuitive counsel of a Sage in their history that left them with an ability to see things as they are, not as the popular culture would wish.

I believe it was Krauthammer who also said, we need to return to "less taxes, smaller government, more responsibility, and States rights". To use an analogy of mine, you cannot fix a problem on the upper floors of a building that has its beginnings in the basement or foundation; if we had smaller government we would have lower taxes; if we had more personal responsibility we would have more States rights and smaller government. When personal responsibility (the foundation) is abandoned; the resultant is what we have today. In otherwords, a return of personal responsibility would lead to a return of our freedom but that cannot happen without the education system being held accountable for what and how they teach or as you say abolished.

With the number of indoctrinated radicals that have invaded our education system at all levels over a very long period of time I'm afraid we will not see much of a change in my lifetime. Home schooling is a hope. It's a very long tunnel and the light at the end is very, very dim. But if enough patriots like you and those involved in sites like this continue their efforts we may, with God's help, make that light a little brighter for the generations that are yet to come.

      • I agree Education will be the biggest factor in recovering America. If they aren't taught what America Means and stands for and we stop "Brain Washing" with a bunch of Marxist etc garbage we will make it. It does mean that everyone has to get involved, I'd say starting with the Parents but they are the very reason we have been failing. It will take Grand Parents, Grand Uncles and Grand Aunts to pester the schools, colleges, universities and all their administrations starting at the state level, about the Garbage they are now teaching. This must include a review of all the Text Books that schools are using.

Home Education is one way but people should also take advantage of Religious Schools and Private Schools they have investigated and Trust.
